Just a little NSV…

So yesterday, I’m at the gym, and I’m running on the treadmill.

(Side note, when I played basketball, my basketball coach would say at the end of practice “let’s go up on the track to get a 20 minute run.” I wanted to tell him so bad “You take your ass up on the track and get a 20 minute run!” But now, I do appreciate him for that discipline. Thanks, Coach Brunn…even though I hated it back then).

Okay, back to the regularly scheduled programming (and yes, I talk like this in real life with about 80 different side notes)…

So I’m running, and I am doing my version of interval training, so I run for a minute, walk for a minute, and so on. I start my first run at 5.0 (I have officially left the fours!) and I end at 5.7!!!!!!!!!!!

6.0 here I come! And I WILL be there before the end of the year. I just have to make sure I stay focused during my “Thank you Lord for everything I have; now I’m going to eat everything in sight” holiday, also known as Thanksgiving. I’m going to try and remember my south beach diet principles, though, and not turn it into “Blow it day, Part III”.

I can do this. I can do this. YES WE CAN!
