Eating and RVing

Posted by: delitaagain In: New Me

Fish StewToday was an opportunity to stock up at Walmart. This made it easy to get the ingredients for the fish stew that was first on my wishlist, plus a good bit more that will be a blessing over the next week. I found the recipe on allrecipes.com. It was good! And, I have leftovers. =)

I also switched from honey to molasses. I think I will use less and it is cheaper and better for me. I use it in oatmeal with peanut butter and will drink my tea unsweetened.

OK! This was my first post from my phone. I will check it tomorrow when at a computer.

Play along: What do you put in your oatmeal?

Everyday oatmeal: soy milk or yogurt
Special occasion oatmeal: cream and brown sugar

But eating low carb means oatmeal breakfasts are few and far between!

Same for me with the low carb, oatmeal and cereals have been out of my mornings for a good 6 months now. I miss that kind of breakfast.
When I did eat oatmeal, it was unsweetened with cinnamon and low fat milk. My husband on the other hand, would load his oatmeal with butter and tons of raw sugar.

Wow, look at you with using the cell phone for this, that’s cool. Me however, refuse to do the texting thing with the phone, I’ll stick with the computer for communicating the written word!

That fish stew, is it with seafood or just plain old fish?
:)

tj, oooo, ahhhh! Therre are times I am very glad I am not low carb. I found out there is only 70 calories in a tablespoon of Molasses, and I use *maybe* that much. Good stuff! At least I have stopped putting butter in it! lol

Sandi - oh, cinnamon! I hadn’t thought of that. Will have to give it a try. Very glad to not be piing on the sugar and butter. If I eat oatmeal as a side dish with eggs now I serve it with just a little salt, like grits without the butter. Still good! I will try the cinnamon, thanks!

Oh that fish stew looks AMAZING! I’m going to try it but without the potato and possibly add other veggies :D

beerab, I agree with the no potatoes. I was thinking I could make this with cabbage instead of potatoes, or rice… endless. I’m having it today for the fourth and last time and already can’t wait to make it again.
