I am so glad I found this thread! I was really feeling down about my willpower lately.

Today I am sticking to my calories. No going over no adding additional snacks after my diary is complete.

Good Morning Everyone Such a beautiful day today!

I'm a 10/10 today. I woke up at 6am and did my workout and cooked dinner all before work. So I had a great start to the day

Hope everyone has a great day, it's almost TGIF

Having a good day so far. I'm just feeling weird, though. A bit light headed. A bit tired. I pressed on my sinuses and they hurt, so I'm wondering if something is brewing. No headache, just feeling pressure (which is why I probably feel tired).

Made some sautéed wild caught scallops last night. OMG, they were so good! Had them with steamed fresh broccoli and a small red baked potato topped with 2 tsp. butter. I was in heaven

Feeling a little better today, thankfully. 9/10 today.

Happy Thursday everyone!

9/10 for me. I did go running last night and it seemed pretty hard to do! I had missed two normal running nights, not 2 months of normal running nights. Oh well.

Hoping to do some weeding tonight. I'll just have to stay motivated, rather than flopping on the couch when I get home.

I miss my laptop! I've been borrowing my mom's laptop since she hardly uses it but it's not the same. GeekSquad told me it'll be 2-4 weeks before I get it back .

My commitment is ?/10. I've been doing really well with my eating but tonight I might be drinking a lot of alcohol. I'm hanging out with my BF's friends for a game night and I might challenge one of his buddies to a drinking contest. It's kinda cruel on my part because I'll win. For some reason I metabolize alcohol way too fast so I'm instantly tipsy but it never goes beyond that and it only lasts about 20 minutes. I can drink a lot without getting drunk, I never get a hangover and I sober up really fast. I once drank a whole lot at a bbq and then an hour later I wound up in the ER. It wasn't alcohol related on my part, my friend accidentally hit me in the head really hard with a softball. Because alcohol and concussions don't mix they tested my BAC and it was 0. The doc couldn't believe I had spent most of the afternoon drinking but after an hour of not drinking it was completely out of my system. This is why I generally don't drink anymore because there isn't a point in spending the money or calories. BUT...sometimes it's really fun to drink a cocky SOB under the table which might be my plan tonight. But only if they have a good vodka. I'm not wasting senseless calories and carbs on something of poor quality. Don't worry, we will be safe. I won't let him reach a point of getting into trouble and none of us will drive. I never drive if I've had anything to drink. I may metabolize it fast and I may feel completely sober but I don't trust it until its been a few hours. I take it incredibly seriously and it's not a risk I will ever, EVER take.

Firecracker, glad you're joining us! Stick to that diary! Hopefully, you'll be giving us a great report tomorrow!

Lovemylife, woohoo on your great planning, early rise, exercise, and dinner prep! Way to go!

Raining, so glad to hear you're feeling better!

Slashnl, good for you getting out there and running! And weeding sounds like a much better plan than being a couch potato! You're getting in the groove!

Jersey, your scallops sound wonderful! I'm sorry to hear about your sinuses acting up. I go through that. Do you take anything for them?

Leah, your post made me laugh, but I do appreciate your clarifying the no getting into trouble or drunk driving, for the mother hen in me, lol! That's too bad about your computer but at least you have your mom's!

MsTibbles, lol! I'm glad! Yay on the upcoming ticker!

Perennial, good menu! (I like string cheese too!) And you'll have a ticker before you know it!

Meal plan for today:

- Large soy latte
- Couple of mints, water, green tea tablets
- Salmon sashimi with the extras (ginger, wasabi, soy sauce, etc)
- Side squid salad (PROTEIN!)
- Nettle tea
- Diet coke (vanilla)
- 50cal lollipop
- Chicken/quinoa salad with capsicum, chickpeas, cabbage
- Sparkling water with lemon
- 50 cal lollipop

I heard somewhere that Coke Zero/Diet Coke etc sends your body signals that you are hungry because your brain picks up sugar but then doesn't get any so leads you to overeat. Can anyone deny/confirm?

Perennial, congrats on being 2 lbs down! I've read the same thing about diet soda, but the researchers are only giving it their best guess. They don't know the real cause of why diet soda seems to cause people to gain weight. Another theory is that it alters your metabolism so that you don't burn calories as efficiently. They don't really know, however. I've given up Diet Dr. Pepper since the last time I dieted, and honestly, my weight loss is about the same. BUT I did ultimately give in to cravings and ended my diet last time. Some research says that's common with all dieters at about the 6 month mark, so I can't blame the Diet Dr. Pepper, but who knows? I really don't think I'm having daily cravings as much this time around. Do you know where you are going to be going out to eat with your friends? If so, maybe you can pull up the restaurant's menu online and plan ahead.

Jacqui I wrote that last little disclaimer with you in mind because you've become my forum mother and I knew you'd have your concerns.

We actually skipped game night and opted for a night in which was much needed. Also I decided even if we did go I wouldn't drink because I remembered that alcohol lowers your B12 and that's the last thing I need to deal with.

Happy Friday every one!!

I did pretty good yesterday. Didn't go over my calories and went to yoga.

Today I am feeling pretty committed. 9/10. I had breakfast and will have a small lunch incase dinner plans end up being higher in calories. Hoping to get a walk in later as well since the weather is absolutely beautiful out today!

Hope everyone has a good day
