  • First of all, congratulations Jacqui!! So cool to be in onederland!

    I'm probably 7/10 today. I already went to the gym, but have to be careful with food..... my nemesis on weekends.
  • Slashnl, thank you! You are amazing having lost 75 lbs, and now you are only 20 lbs away from Onederland yourself! Just think about that when you want to splurge this weekend! I know you can get through it! Great job on the exercise!
  • Jacqui My nausea was related to what felt like a bad muscle pull in my stomach/side. It was hurting so bad I thought I was going to throw up.

    8/10 Jamba Juice did help yesterday. The guy looked at me like I was insane for wanting a large. I explained that it had to keep me going through my whole shift and he seemed to get it better. I'm going to have to figure out making my own at home because I am NOT going to keep spending that kind of money!! I even get a discount for being a mall employee. But currently our kitchen is under construction so that makes a lot of home prep difficult.

    Today, I am a 10/10. I am still in Onederland after Carb Day, so I'm thrilled!
  • 8/10 today, and hit 250 this morning, so just 1 lb away from the 240's! Getting over some side effects from a new birth control pill. Stopped taking it and then my time of month came. Think the new pill messed with my hormones and is what was causing my mood to be so low. I already am starting to feel like myself again, thank goodness!

    Today, I'm a 10/10. Had a really great weekend and was down on the scale this morning
  • Ami I had a similar issue except I started my BCP just before TOM wanted to. I had a week and a half of mild but uncomfortable cramping and bloating. My mood and emotions were all over the place. I stopped the BCP for a couple days to let TOM happen and then everything went back to normal.

    7/10 Today my commitment is to portion control. For lunch my best friends and I are getting together at a pizza joint and we're all splitting a pizza. I know that it won't be the healthiest and I'm okay with that. We don't get together like this very often anymore and it'll all average out in the end. I don't have control over the nutrition and calorie load in the pizza but I do have control over how much I choose to eat. I don't need to eat a full third!
  • Ami, I'm so glad you are feeling like yourself again! Hormones can be a bugger! Thankfully, you're feeling better! Congrats on being so close to the 240's!

    10/10 committed to eating on plan and 7/10 for using stairs instead of elevator, walking from parking lot instead of shuttle.

  • 8/10 today. Super busy at work due to my company is closing up its fiscal year today (I work in accounting). I don't foresee having time to eat lol. But the real test will be after work when I will need to destress. But I will get through, after thursday I am off July 3rd for the holiday and then I am off all next week and the Monday following. I can't wait!
  • Ami, I hope you took a healthy snack with you to eat at your desk (or you can get one at work) to offset how hungry you might be when you get home! I'm wishing you good control and only healthy eating!

    Today, I am a 10/10 on eating but only a 5/10 on exercise. My knees are bothering me today. It started two days ago. I've soaked in epsom salts each day but it's not taking this nagging ache away. I've read that it's a good idea to take one day off a week from exercise, but Carol Sue cited another source that said you should exercise everyday for at least 15 minutes. I wonder if the fact that I have to go upstairs (19 steps) every time I want to go to the bathroom counts toward that 15 minutes? I want to go to the gym but I don't want to aggravate my joints since I have RA, so I am a little torn. If I go, I should probably take some ibuprofen beforehand. In fact, I'll take some ibuprofen now and see how that makes me feel.
  • 10/10 Quit my toxic job this morning, just got back from a hike, and now I'm kicking back and relaxing. It's a GREAT day!
  • Good for you Leah! I've been there. Life is too short to spend every day in a place you hate. All that chronic stress just messes with you mentally and physically in ways you don't even notice. My job is stressful, but I actually like it. I only wish I made a lot more money doing it lol.
