Wow, Ian, you amaze me. As a non-runner (my preferred exercise has always been swimming) I applaud you - and any person who can run more than a quarter of mile. My ankles and knees just can't take it.

Me, I'm looking forward to restarting my yoga/pilates routine next week.

Okay one last update for the night.

I joined Daily Burn on a free trail and started their yoga program. I did Surya A routine....and did 40 minutes of body bending yoga. I even broke out in a sweat and burned 309 calories. I feel great now, but something tells me I'm going to be sore tomorrow. And I grabbed a banana as a treat...so I used two more weekly points tonight.

Night all

Will check in tomorrow. Hopefully not too sore. This almost 40 yr old body isn't used to exercise. LOL

Dakota

(Diana, the most popular hazelnut spread is nutella. I am sure if I ever got a jar of it, the contents would be gone within a couple of hours Vermont is lovely to visit in the summer. Skiers like it in the winter. I snarl at winter.

DakotaTrace, I know its hard. Anxiously waiting for that 3 weeks. You can do it

Ian, seriously, you deserve all the support possible.

Tyla, the ocean sounds glorious. How absolutely wonderful that you got to go.

power back on after a line of severe storms. I am ashamed of how out of kilter I felt with just having my iphone and ipad. Not proud of self at all. Cooked dinner by flashlight.

usual fare throughout the day
low fat chicken sausages and salads. with the requisite hot chocolate and of course the low fat low carb lemon protein drink... frozen.
Total estimated calories: 1200 carbs were quite low.
I remain in great admiration of everyone who is exercising ( had to be really careful with "spell check" on that word). I have stairs which I use about 20 times a day. Tonight before sleep I WILL do the jogging trampoline. Peer pressure the beauty/benefit of forums such as this. This body has 62 years on it and a lot of miles And let me tell you that the spare tire does not get less inflated with age.

I hope everyone has a great Wednesday

Yesterday's Calories: 1590

B - Aunt Jemima Scrambled Eggs w/ Ham and Potato
L - Campbell's Homestyle Italian Wedding Soup + String Cheese
S - Menchie's Frozen Yogurt
D - 2 Pizza Hut Breadsticks + 2 Slices Pizza Hut Hawaiian BBQ Pizza

Exercise: 7406 Steps (-192) + Stretching

I did okay yesterday. I'm shooting for a net of 1550 now, so I just barely went over it. I wasn't planning on having pizza last night. My friend broke up with her boyfriend, so I took her out to cheer her up. We walked a mile and a half afterwards though, so that helped offset the extra calories.

peachflesh/flower123 - I wouldn't claim to be psychic, but I'm very intuitive and I sometimes have extremely accurate dreams about the future. I dabble in energy work as well.

DakotaTrace - I use a pedometer app on my phone called Pacer. Its fairly accurate and doesn't use much battery power. Since I have my MFP set to sedentary, I sync Pacer with it and count that as activity. I've made an attempt to walk more since I've been using a pedometer. I like seeing the number go up.

Diana - Hazelnut spreads are addictive. Chocolate and hazelnut are very tasty together. I don't have the willpower to keep that in the house.

Checking in this morning. A little sore but expected to be.

Diana How long have you been doing yoga? Do you find it beneficial? Last night I broke a sweat and it was only a 40 minute instructional video with a how to on the basic poses.

Psychic I definitely will be checking out app. I do some walking, and I do mow the yard. Makes me wonder how many steps that was.

Okay, so far?

1/2 cup of unsweetened applesause - 1 pt
tsp of Cinnamon - 0 pt
Large Banana - 2 pt

1 cup of lettuce - 0 pt
1/4 cup of chopped tomatoes - 1pt

3 tbsp of diced green pepper - 0pt
1 tbsp of scallions - 0 pt

I've been in lurk mode but still keeping track, weightlifting and keeping up the fight. I almost saw the 160s but still floating up 170 to 172 pounds. Work was getting a little out of control with extra commitments and I finally spoke to my boss and have cut out one of my shifts. Life should be much better now!

Hope you all have a fabulous, on-plan week!

Hello all, working my program, trying to find the right tweaks, we're eating more veg during the week and not so many treats on the weekend. It's a tough process, but so worth it being fitter.

Ian big you've helped so many, it's good you're being helped/comforted

Diana glad you survived I'm trying not to be so worked up about the number on the scale, it's hard, sometimes harder than others, congrats on being able to take a break from it.

Syckgirlsfv I miss it... we started watching Breaking Bad, I'm such a late bloomer when it comes to TV shows, we didn't start watching Bones until it was in season 5

coolmom great job speaking up, I was just reading an article about finding extra time and making yourself leave work on time to take care of yourself.

Well, got to go to bed, just wanted to let you all know I'm thinking of you guys!

Best to all

Hi Everyone!

DakotaTrace I started doing yoga about 1 1/2 years ago. My Dr. recommended it to help with my stress levels since the loss of my Mom. My thyroid/meds were off after having been regulated for such a long time. My levels are still off. I'm not positive if the yoga has worked. I guess I look at it that maybe I would be worse off if I hadn't started the yoga at that time. I'm not a yoga person and don't really enjoy it. Until recently I did mostly very relaxing yoga. I have been doing some different stuff recently, since my thyroid levels aren't any better. Are you sore from your yoga routine? I have gotten sore from a few yoga and stretch routines.

Flower No pressure on the exercise . . . . . . . Did you workout on the trampoline?

Mars Hi Yum, baby bok choy!

Psychic Good job having the pizza in moderation. I don't think I could have the chocolate and hazelnut spread in the house either.

CoolMom Hi I hope cutting out the extra shift helps.

Kelijpa Good job keeping up with your program. Ha Ha I think taking a break right now is better than facing the scale. I think this is the longest I have gone without weighing. Right now I am thinking about starting to weigh again on Monday. This will give me a week of being back on track. We'll see how it goes.
