DakotaTrace, does your dd exercise? Perhaps she could do this with you.

Exercise kicks my anxiety in the @rse.

Mostly because when I feel that close to dying from working out, everything else on my mind takes a very distant second...

Morning all...

I need every drop today. Woke up sore from the yoga this morning, but still determined to do it. Sore muscles means it's working, right? It's cooler than average today for Iowa, something about a Canadian cold front. All I know is it feels like fall outside.

Today will be another hectic day, lots to do.

Breakfast: 6pts
Coffee with ff creamer - 1 pt
WW toast with butter - 5 pts

Lunch: 4 pts
Salad
2 cups of lettuce - 0 pt
tomato - 1 pt
dice cucumber - 1 pt
scallions/peppers - 0pt
1/2 cup of diced turkey - 1 pt
tbsp of ff dorthy lynch dressing - 1pt
Crystal Light Lemonade - 0 pt

Total Daily points: 10/30 pts

Will be back this evening with supper and exercise calories.

Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday!

Up 1lb today to 169.4lbs. Breakfast was sardines, kippers and oats. Lunch was salmon, scallops and crab with my usual.

For exercise I did 1 hour boxing before work and went for a 4 mile run before lunch.

Hope everyone is doing fine.

Hi all

It's been several days, I need to post more often!

Anyway, I started my journey about a month ago. Since starting I've been trying to simply eat better and watch my portions and work out more, but I'm really not seeing much movement on the scale. I usually eat about 1500 calories, but have had some days where I eat less and some cheat days. To date I've still on lost 3 lbs. I work out almost daily and my arms are the slimmest and most toned they've been in yrs. But I'm not lifting so I don't think it's possible that I am putting on much muscle weight.

Think I need to weigh more often to really track my progress? I watched the scale religiously during weight loss in the past and I remember a fair amount of fluctuation day-to-day. Maybe I'm hitting lows that I dont see bc I'm not on the scale often? I don't want to get obsessive, but I do want to be efficient in my efforts. Any advice?

3lbs in a month is pretty good at your height/weight peachflesh. I would just keep going.

If you were 250lbs, we'd be having a different conversation. But you will lose slower at lower weights.

You could try to do more cardio or eat fewer calories if you are desperate to speed things up. I'd recommend more cardio.

Workout: 30 mins elliptical
Post workout: Greek yogurt

1381 calories today.

Not seeing many changes in the scale, but my boss said I look skinner every time she sees me which was nice! I just wish I would lose faster and feel more comfortable in my clothes. I'm still a few pounds away from my 16s.

I'm also just curious what other people's measurements look like compared to weight. Here is where I'm at right now:

Bust 42
Waist 33.5
Hips 46

Also, I don't know if its the increase in exercising I've been doing lately but I've been craving protein. Greek yogurt has been saving me from blowing it the last couple days! I love light and fit Greek yogurt. It has the least amount of sugar and the most protein that I've seen, for 80 cals it keeps me full for a while. I'm thinking I may need to have a rest from working out tomorrow, but I'm not sure. I can't remember the last day I didn't work out. To rest or not to rest?

Hi Everyone!

I have been tweaking my foods/calories that I post again. I have changed some brand names, etc. Also, I changed from eating sugar snap peas back to Greek Yogurt. I have also been working on figuring out exactly how much honey mustard I use at lunch. I have worked on lowering my honey mustard consumption. It's funny, I used to eat more veggies at breakfast and more honey mustard than I do now. Overall, I think my calories were lower when I was losing weight than they are now. Go figure. I have adjusted all of my info to be correct again.

Kelijpa Good job on your day and the exercise bike.

Novangel Do you have a Curves or a ladies only type gym there? Ha Ha There's always Jillian. You have said yourself that she is the best at whipping you into shape.

Dakota UGH! I can see how the hormones can make things worse. I can get mild anxiety with my monthly TTOM. When you have a morning like that you need the coffee IV! Just hook me up!

Flower Well, a good thing about the hot chocolate is that you are probably getting a lot of healthy antioxidants.

Psychic Good job on your calories and your activity.

Syckgirlsfv Good job getting back on track.

Ian Are you still enjoying the boxing classes? Are these at your work gym or a separate gym?

Peachflesh I do agree there can be a lot of fluctuations from day to day. These fluctuations can be difficult for some people to deal with. You have lost .75 per week. That's not too bad. I was never a fast loser. How high in calories are your "cheat" days and how often do you have them? Could those extra calories negate your weight loss efforts? There are so many variables to consider. ETA: I just read Ian's post and agree.

CoolMom Yum on the bean burrito!

Claygirls Good job on your day. I don't normally do measurements. I just go by the scale and how my clothes fit. Congrats on the compliments from your boss!
