just came in from a 16 mile bike ride for a 550 or so calorie burn - cooking dinner with DH now.

He's doing the bison burgers, and I'm fixing fresh asparagus and the chipotle sweet potato fries he ordered from Omaha Steaks. It smells amazing in here

I tried to run tonight but my knees and legs felt like linguine. I wound up fast walking the 3 miles. I hope my knees aren't starting to give out or something.

Diana, Jillian is amazing. I really need to start doing her DVD's again. I keep talking about it but....

peachflesh, I remember being told that while I was exercising I would be building muscle ( even if it is not lifting weights) So perhaps you are in fact adding muscle mass and therefore the scale is not showing a more significant loss in weight. It sounds like you are doing well though.

claygirl, slow and steady really does win the race. If you are craving more protein, perhaps you can add even more protein drinks to your daily intake. I blend mine in the blender with ice cubes and put into bowls. Then I can scrape it like ice cream for treats. I do not absorb foods well. So I need to eat more proteins than most people. I personally think that if people are craving protein it might be a good idea to think about increasing. But if course that's just my thought.

Thanks Diana on the positive take re the cocoa powder. Yes, I sure am getting antioxidents. And its great for the neuritransmitters and LDL cholesterol and even possible bp. But it also can cause kidney stones. So it would be best in moderation. I hope those Mahi tacos were as good as they seem.

Today I went to the chocolate factory to buy more cocoa powder. I had the best sample. It was dark chocolate with toasted salted almonds. Just amazing. I decided to buy 2 pieces of chocolate. One was a salted caramel chocolate. Was not impressed. Next was a hazelnut paste filled chocolate. Once again, not impressed. Should have stopped at the free sample. It was divine.

Other than that high calorie/high carb diversion, I was okay. There was the usual cocoa thing going on. But other than that I was okay with my usual fare.
chicken sausage: 440
salads 180
cocoa powder and milk 350
lemon protein drink 100
chocolate candies 240
total calories 1310 carbs today were higher due to the sugar

I am planning to stop the sugar again. I believe that will put the craving monster back into sleep mode. It may be a bit tricky to stop eating sugar while going each week to a chocolate factory to buy cocoa powder.

I have started a new movement thing. Twice a day. Its part of "energy medicine". Hopefully this routine will be the beginning of getting things moving. And then the trampoline will come more easily.

Up 0.8lbs today to 170.2lbs. I hate being over 170

Diana, my work gym does boxing so I do it there. It's a very convenient start to the morning but an early one (I have to get up at 4.45am - 5am to get there).

Today I ate sardines and smoked oysters with a bowl of oats for breakfast and my usual for lunch with baby squid, mussels, shrimp and scallops. Tasty.

Exercise: Ran 4 miles before work. Did 50 minutes weight training before lunch.

I am doing a three-a-day tomorrow: boxing (morning), weights (lunch), running (evening with beer). Wish me luck!

crazy craziness of the impending High Holy Days is keeping me super busy! Quick one:

B - belvita breakfast biscuits
L - butter lettuce salad w/sunflower seeds/shaved parmesan/chicken breast/poppy seed dressing
D - school tonight - will eat leftover bison burger if DH hasn't eaten it, otherwise garden burger or turkey burger with zoodles and mashed potatoes

Hi Everyone!

Syckgirlsfv Your dinner sounded great. Are the fries spicy?

Novangel How are your knees today? Maybe a couple days off will help.

Dakota Good job on your day. Did your DD rest well last night?

Flower I'm so glad there isn't a chocolate factory near me. Is this the place you go? http://www.lakechamplainchocolates.com/ Good job on your calories.

Iam@hero Congrats on the 4 pounds!

CoolMom Are you keeping the little ones busy? I know Summer can be a difficult time for parents/kids. Ha Ha The school season can be even worse.

Ian Look at those muscles and that smile!

Hey everyone. Sorry for the late post. I've been sans internet all day. I'm SO happy to see everyone. I can't believe how well everyone is doing.

Ian - love the new pic. And with you three a day you should shed that pesky little gain in no time.

iam@hero - congrats on your 4 lb weight lost. That's just wonderful.

Flower - wish I was close to a chocolate factory. Love that stuff. Instead tonight I cheated and had a small sliver of homemade chocolate cake my daughter made. This cake is so good we don't even add frosting to it. So while it's not the healthiest for me, it's only 4 pts and I burned those calories with yoga tonight.

NovAngel - sorry to here about your knees. Hope today was a better day for you.

Syckgirlsfv - bison burgers? Are those pretty good? Never had them. Although I might have stolen a few of your sweet potato fries. I have a serious addiction to them. YUM!

kelijpa - lots of yummy veggies I see. A woman after my own heart. I love my greens. DH says I'm gonna turn into a bunny...but that's okay. Congrats on your run. Some day I might try that. Until then I'll work on my yoga.

Diana - DD is on a new med in addition to her old med. This new one will not only help with her anxiety attacks but help her sleep better at night. *crossing fingers* it works. Today was a pretty good day over all. So I'm happy.

Over all I've had a good day - even if the kids drove me crazy.
