Pauli: SOunds like you are doing great! I think I read you are supposed to eat about 300 calories more than normal when you are pregnant? Obviously everyone is different. I know I always ate WAY more than that, especially in the third trimester.
Love2b: Aww you know you didn't gain 4 pounds in a day, its just water. Keep on keepin' on.
Sycksgirlfv: cool that you already have your Christmas vacation planned! Something to look forward to.
I eeked back up into the 166 range today but barely. Yesterday I felt overwhelming urges to eat when I wasn't hungry, I don't know why. I did end up eating a little snack when I wasn't hungry at night.
Today, I was running and gunning and only had one official meal, and lots of on the go snacking when I was hungry. So we will see what the scale thinks about that.

I'm still double posting in here and in the 150's thread...I'm pretty solidly there now but sometimes the thread is too quiet
on the scale this morning - 158.6 another pound and a half and I'll be where I was the day I left for Vegas, which was only 8 days ago. Not bad considering I came back only 6 days ago! We might have pizza tonight, though but we're going to get in at least 11 or 12 miles of bike ride!

Syckgirlsfv: that is awesome that you are moving down so quickly. That is also great that you ride your bike so much! You must be in pretty great shape.
Today I am back down to 165, even further down than I was. TOM is on its way so we will see what happens.
Well I'm back up to 164.8, TOM is here for once my iphone app is correct. My only desire for this month is to not be higher than my 160 on the 30th which is what my weigh in was on the first.
Yes, Pinkhippie, by the third trimester I'm supposed to have added 300 calories to my usual calorie intake... but I'm still a long ways to go till my third trimester. I haven't even finished the first one. I already added 100 to my usual calorie intake for this first trimester, I'll add another 100 in the second, and another 100 in the third. That's the plan. Doctor okay'd it. It's flexible, too, if I feel I need to eat some more at the end of the day when I've maxed my budget, I do eat more. I'm not so concerned with the calorie count as I am concerned with where those calories come from. They cannot, by any means, come from starchy foods. They're the death of me. Hahaha!
So replacing the whole wheat pancake and working out yesterday, I lost 2 ounces so I was 169.4. Not much, but it's something and I'm headed in the right direction for next week. I want to lose a bit more before I hit the second trimester because then I know I am expected to begin gaining.
thanks Pinkhippie I am getting in pretty damn good shape again! the bike riding really helps because instead of sitting around the house, we're out doing something that's fun AND burns the fat. We have such awesome places to ride around our neighborhood, and that makes it even better and more fun.
TOM day 3 and maybe the last day at that...I seem to be releasing water at an alarming rate today! Hoping to see 157 again quickly...though I don't know what the effect on the scale will be tomorrow if I eat Papa John's pizza! Maybe I can steer DH away from the pizza deal he got offered and on to something healthier...
I'm really in the 160's now 166.2. Enjoyed a great dinner with the kids last evening, that and TOM are my excuse for the 1.4 up today. Hoping to stick to a better meal plan today and then move a little of this out by months end
169.0 this morning. Ah, sweet loss. Little by little.
Also last night I had a huge NSV because my sweet husband bought pizza and I did not eat one bite of it. What was his thinking process when he got the pizza? I have no idea, but he apologized profusely for making me feel bad by bringing it home and making me crave it. I forgive him.
Pauli: Ahh that makes sense. I think my problem has always been I can barely eat during the first trimester and then I go crazy in the second trimester because I felt so deprived of food. Sounds like you have a good handle on it.
sycksgirlsfv: wow a 20 mile bike ride! I am impressed. very impressed. that is awesome!
love2b: Glad you had a great dinner with your kids.
I am still 165 and moving down. I am pretty happy about it. Hopefully I won't go crazy this weekend and eat a bunch when Im not hungry.

Pinkhippie -- My problem (I know, it's not much of a problem), is that being that my morning sickness is so mild, I don't really lose my appetite. The only time I lost weight with a pregnancy was with the first one because my morning sickness then was a little bit stronger (that was the time I almost felt like throwing up, to give you an idea of how mild my morning sickness is, hahaha!). I lost like 5 pounds and then as soon as the morning sickness was gone I went wild with the food and gained 20 lbs that stayed and 40 that went away (mostly water retention, I almost had preeclampsia with that pregnancy). So I feel pretty normal throughout the whole pregnancy and my aversion toward foods is very little, so I have to make a conscious effort to eat and not to eat certain foods throughout the 40 weeks.
I just went out on a nice leisurely bike ride with my oldest daughter. Didn't burn that many calories because it was... well, leisurely. My 7 year old is a worrier and she doesn't like riding her bike too fast. But hey, it's something!
Thanks Pinkhippie, I have been trying so hard to eat low carb (it obviously isn't working right now), but actually having my mac n cheese was a delicious treat. I usually only make it for holidays and if the family ask me to for a gathering. The kids said mommy's eating some good food . I almost couldn't finish my serving. I ate my green beans and barbecue pork sirloin first Thinking back it was probably my binge on Frosted flakes and the rest of my day that added to my up on the scale I ate more FF than I thought and didn't realized it until my daughter sat down for a bowl of cereal this morning
Yay! I'm in the 150s! 159.5 to be exact. It was my TOM this week and I used to woosh like crazy but hadn't the last couple months so hopefully I'm back to that. I saw the number before going to the pool and while I was not really excited to be going, that made me bound out of the house! Did my few laps and also walked this morning. I'll do pool tomorrow and Friday depending on schedule.
So I'm going to head over and do like Syckgirls is doing, visiting both threads! I'm so excited.
