Other than the gross smoothie, I must say I like the single-serve "blend-and-go" smoothie maker my mom got me. Just throw everything in the bottle, screw on the blade lid, blend it, and put the other lid on.
that sucks that it sucked! You're right it should have at least some agave or honey...splenda is SO bad for you. I quit using it. You should try adding cinnamon!

Got home from school last night at 9:30 and STILL couldn't get to sleep before midnight. (no wine) But I feel ok. Tonight is my turbo sculpt step class, which always makes me feel good. My dinner last night was 3 chicken enchiladas from Fresh and Easy, which were very good. 550 calories. BUT, when I got home I was hungry so I munched on wheat pita chips. My total for yesterday was somewhere around 1700. I don't mind, it's not a cause for weight gain. Once in a while we just need a little more!

breakfast - multi grain sandwich thin with bottom round steak, baby spinach, and chipotle laughing cow wedge. 186 (only an ounce of meat)

lunch - hearts of romaine and baby spinach with deli sliced turkey, wheat pita chip leftover pieces, and light olive oil vinaigrette. 155

snack - plum 30

seems that i didn't bring enough food today, but I get off at 3 so I'll snack at home before turbo sculpt on some tortilla chips and salsa.

dinner - I plan to stop and get my favorite frozen pizza from Vons/Pavilions - chicken bacon alfredo! It's only 300 per slice and I can have two

maybe a couple glass of wine

I'll still be under 1300 because of the step class!

Well, I don't use sweeteners very often. Splenda is still better than aspartame, but I do prefer stevia or honey, if anything. My mom is diabetic, so we usually only have splenda in the house. I can't have cinnamon. I'm mildly allergic to it and it makes my throat swell and/or my mouth go numb. It won't kill me, but I try to avoid it.

Please tell me more about the smoothie maker! I don't make them because I just don't bother with getting out the blender, etc.

Hi Everyone!

Novangel I have been using Purology products. They have really helped to keep the color and they seem to be gentle. I think the curl is a hormonal thing. I had a better hair day today. I put really large velcro rollers in my hair before I got in the shower. The large rollers seemed to smooth/straighten the hair and the steam set it. I am going to talk with my hairdresser about if she thinks I should let it grow or keep it shorter. I tried to let it grow before but I didn't last very long. Good luck on your exam. I wish you the very best in getting back to the field you love.

HungryHungryHippo I am getting the hang of level 2. By the time I am comfortable with it I will be in level 3 and complaining all over again. Congrats on feeling good about the clothing project.

Alyssa Autopsy You must be needing the extra rest.

Nzgirl Good job on your calories and the extra money.

Misti What does your surgery entail? Are you doing breast and tummy? I'm glad you've got friends to help you. I thought the recovery would be longer than 2 weeks.

Niagaragrl Did you buy fresh salmon? If it's a fillet, you can just freeze them and take out as you need them. They only take a few minutes to grill. You can use a grill pan/cast iron pan to get a good sear on it.

MsjuicyD Keep up the great work!

Psychic You must be doing something right!

Silver Sky I hope you get some relief soon. Have you been drinking enough water. Sometimes that slows things down.

Syckgirlsfv Enjoy the pizza. Chicken bacon alfredo sounds yummy!

Radiojane I'm glad you were able to get back to the gym.

I made it to the gym. Not much to report right now although I woke up this morning looking mighty thin in the abdomen region and I was happy...I've been slacking and I am starting TOM. Go figure.

Hi to the new posters!

MzJuicy – that’s fantastic!

Psychic – shoot—that sounded good—sorry it didn’t taste good!

Novangel – go, Girl!!

Not much to report here, either. Wrapped up the week with a total of 12.5 drinks (something I’ve been working on). For me, that’s acceptable. There were no 4-drink nights (and there never should be), so that’s a victory. I AM enjoying the Walden Farms 0-calorie caramel dip a bit much…finished a jar in 2 days, and am jonesing to go out for another one tonight. Hmmm….

Hello everyone

Diana, they can't do both the breast and tummy at once... too much for me. Doing the breast reduction now.

I am scurrying around trying to get things set up and organized.

Good Morning, Everyone! I hope you have a great weekend!

Calories for yesterday: 1470 +
Weigh In: 157.6 (TTOM)
Down: .8

I'm going to give TTOM a little more time to straighten up. I am on day 13 right now. The problems could be related to the thyroid and might take more time to regulate. The Endo mentioned that my TTOM might get heavier, more frequent, and longer as I get older. This is part of Peri. TTOM improved a lot over the last couple of years but everything got out of whack last year. My gyno wanted to do an ablation or put me on progesterone years ago. I didn't want to do the hormones because of my history with weight gain. I was hesitant to do the ablation back then because I have a history of anesthesia not working properly for me. Nothing like waking up too early during procedures. I am still hesitant to do the ablation because if my problem is thyroid related, it probably won't be successful.
