Hi all! Well, last night's calculus test did not go well I really thought I prepared (2-3 hours of studying per day seemed reasonable ) but it seems as though the things I read about this professor on ratemyprofessor.com were true! Not to worry! He drops the lowest test score, probably this one, and I spent an hour when I got home last night watching YouTube videos on continuity - these people seem to explain things way better...in such a way that normal people without a PHD can understand!

I also ordered Calculus for Dummies and a practice workbook full of calculus problems. I will NOT get less than a B in this class - I have a 3.7 GPA because I've never gotten anything less and will not let that change now

ok...FOOD!

breakfast - Eating Right sandwich thin, bottom round steak (2 ounces?), baby spinach, egg white, creamy horseradish: 225

lunch - squash/carrot veggie penne pasta with peas, chicken breast, and light alfredo sauce 345

snack - orange 45

for the day at work, projected calories (assuming I don't eat anything else ) are 707

going to the gym after work and really haven't figured on dinner yet.

I'm so tired today, because I felt like my brain was doing algebra and calculus all night and I couldn't tell if I was asleep or not! I do know I slept though, because in between the algebra and calculus I was dreaming about zombies

alaskanlaughter It would be great to get in touch while I'm there. And yes, I'm traveling alone. I love solo traveling. Plus, no one wanted to go with me!

I did really well today. I'm back on track. I feel good.

breakfast- greek yogurt

lunch- eggs with chicken sausage and peppers scramble

dinner-some lettuce with dressing, miso soup, and shrimp

snack- nectarine

Confession time...I did not eat my orange and instead ate a chocolate chip cookie! It wasn't a big one, but it was sure GOOD!

Doing shoulders and arms at the gym when I get home...I think I'm going to use the bottom round I still have at home along with spanish rice to make burritos. I use a low cal wheat wrap that's only got 100 cals so that's a good thing. And a nice yummy hearts of romaine salad. I'm getting hungry!

Ugh! Last night I worked really late and now today I'm dragging from awful PMS fatigue. I'm so tired of being tired every 28 days.

I'm trying to muster up the motivation to get to the gym but I'm definitely not feeling it.

Hi Everyone!

Lauren Your trip is still a ways off. You have plenty of time to prep for your trip. You will be in great shape by then.

Alyssa hi Good job!

Katydid I wonder if any of the pasta dishes are going to be in a good calorie range. I like to get the lighter portion of chicken alfredo at Jason's deli.

Nzgirl Good job staying in your calorie range.

Silver Sky Good job on the .8. Keep up the great work.

Psychic I hope you have a great dinner tonight. The smoothie sounds like it's going to be delish.

Niagaragrl Good job on getting a workout in.

Radiojane Hang in there! We have those weeks. Ha! It's been known to turn in to a full year for me. Good job on the 1.2 pounds.

Alaskanlaughter I don't think I could survive there.

Syckgirlsfv I hope you can get some rest tonight. Good luck with the calculus. I never took it and avoided it like the plague.

Novangel Were you able to make it to the gym?

went to zumba! I almost forgot how great I feel after the gym. I'm planning on hiking a bit next week.

Also, I put in a query about a local co-ed softball team. I am really nervous about playing a team sport again, but I miss it so much. At one point I was even sort of good!

diana remind me to tell you all stories sometime of my childhood growing up in the Interior of Alaska, where temps drop to 60 below zero on a regular basis in the winter, the sun only shines from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and growing up on a homestead with no running water and only a woodstove for heat

and the time down here in Juneau when a huge black bear broke into our house...yes INTO our house...and my husband shot it in our living room

Just a quick post to say I'm leaving town tomorrow immediately after work for the wedding, so I'll be MIA for a couple of days. BUT I shall be back quickly.

Just didn't want it to look like I dropped off the planet

Misti – I’m so glad your appointment went well!! I was thinking of you!!

Alaskan – 9 degrees? Damn!

RadioJane – Easter chocolate!! Ha ha—love it!! But you totally worked it into your calories!

SilverSky – Hey!

Nothing new here, which is why I didn’t post yesterday, but just checking in! Have been eating / “exploring” a few Walden Farms products—those calorie-free dips and dressings. Have to say, the chocolate dip is good, after not having anything like that for so long.

Hello everyone. And thanks, Hungry

Since I have now told my boss, I will post it here... but yes, I have the surgery scheduled in late April! Exciting but scary. My surgeon has his own private surgical facility so I won't be in the hospital. I am arranging for friends to come in and stay with me for a few days.

Wooohooooooooo the results of all my hard work... now it is all paying off. I cannot WAIT
