I only joined yesterday but here goes:

I know it doesnt seem much but Id love to achieve just a small goal so hope thats ok

Welcome! I'm guessing you mean GW 235 by feb 1st and not 135, because WOW that would be a HUGE goal

6 pounds is a great goal in a month! Anyone can choose any goal! "lose 10 pounds by..." is just a tradition, definitely not a rule! I for one won't be losing 10 pounds this month!

6 pounds is in no way feeble!! When I am doing really well, I'm losing 5 - 6 pounds a month. Don't worry about your rate of loss, just keep focusing on losing the next pound. Welcome, and of course you can make a difference in your life, too -- you've already begun!
