newleaf - your trek sounds amazing. If you managed the Inca trail trek to Machu Picchu I am sure you will be able to handle this one. I went to Machu Picchu (touring, not trekking) and was pretty much in awe of the trekkers. Still, how cool!
Congrats kk2323 and LockItUp - goal weight! Wow, I'm impressed and envious! Elladorine - commiseration on the uptick, but you know that it happens. I have to say, you are one of my inspirations around here. We have similar starting weights, and I'm so impressed that you have kept off so much weight and are still losing at your pace. So thumbs up? Joss - congrats on the loss! Your fitness is really impressive. DancerinDenver and lucky216 - wow, you have set a really big goal and are more than 1/2 there! Me: SW: 263 CW: 259 GW: 255 I made Christmas goodies yesterday (medieval gingerbread, sugarplums, and some other things) and was very good and only sampled when necessary to adjust flavors. Then made myself a tiny package of sugarplums (basically a mix of toasted almonds, dried plums, dates, and apricots with some honey and orange zest and cinnamon) so I can have one per day until Christmas. Usually I roll these in turbinado sugar, but the ones for me are not rolled in sugar. Also made a Christmas tree out of cauliflower and broccoli. With stars cut out of yellow peppers. It is so cute! I need to remember to take a picture. |

Lucky216 - Down 6 pounds?! Nice job! I haven't had any holiday parties yet. I'm actually shooting for the 22nd (this coming Saturday) as my goal date and all my Christmas celebrations will be after that. I'm still NOT going to go bat-$hit crazy though. :) adrianna - Right there with you girl! Its all in my sig, but I'm planning a few treat MEALS, not DAYS like I would normally do. dancerindenver - I totally think 4 lbs in the next couple of weeks is doable, BUT, even if it's less than that you still lost a heap and that's nothing to shake a stick at! :) mnemosyne - Thank you! I was drooling a bit over your description of the baked goods! I haven't made anything myself this year, and I probably won't either. I am not starting my holidays until I get to my husband's house on the night of the 23rd, and then then schedule is all jammed up! I don't have any time to make anything! Ugh, I would have really liked to hit 118 so that I could end the year where I started it, but I don't think that's going to happen. I was 119.6 on Saturday, and normally that wouldn't be a problem but since I have gained more muscle mass over the past few months it's harder to peel off the fat layers as quickly. At the end of the day what matters to me is my body composition, and I'm fairly happy with that right now. I was aiming to lose a bit extra to give myself a "buffer" for the holidays but I'm not sure that's in the cards for me. I guess I'll see what happens on Saturday! |
Found another loss this morning! I was kinda worried that I'd be up because I've eaten fried chicken 2 days in a row (mom brought it home Saturday and grandparents had it for Sunday dinner yesterday lol), but alls well the ends the weekend well.

I'm skimming this thread .. wow Newleaf/Heidi is just about there. A few others might also be, I have a few more pages to read. ;) I'm discouraged w/ myself, I forgot to do sw and cw So I'm not certain what I've lost. I'm guessing I'm 3-4 down since this post and I'll add the stats below this paragraph, based on that.

I am doing really good about not going overboard. I am not eating half a pan of nanaimo bars, or half a dozen cookies. I am having a few. I am still going for walks (even if they are not as long as I would like) I am still eating a healthy meal at least 1-2 times a day. But all this salt and sugar is making the scale creep up and it's stressing me out! I have to stop worrying about a couple pounds of water fluctuations (and I am PMSing) and be happy that I AM going to make it through Christmas without gaining AND keeping 5-10lbs like I do every year!! :carrot: |
