Mornin' ladies.
Doing it a little tiny different this month because today (official weigh in for this challenge for me) is TOM and I'm up. So I'm going to put my starting weight as what I weighed a couple days ago but still own up to my current weight. Plus I have a stretch goal (SG) weight and just a regular ol' goal weight. (Way to over complicate a simple challenge right!?) SW 145 11/30 147.6 (TOM) GW 142 SG 136 |
I'm ready to start and feel very motivated. My very fit sister and I just decided on a lark to do a 7-day trek in Patagonia in mid-March. Just the push I needed to re-engage, after maintaining since 10/25.
You'll see below that I don't record the decimal points - it makes me too nutty to track to that level. It should hopefully be a quick drop down to 166, since I was 167.2 today - a new low in this weightloss journey. SW 167 CW 167 GW 160 |
I'm gonna say I'll be in for 5. I am going to try to ease back into working out next week, after I'm done with these meds, but I'm not sure how it's going to go yet.
Starting Weight (12/1): 228.2 Week 1 Weigh In (12/8): Week 2 Weigh In (12/15): Week 3 Weigh In (12/22): Final Weigh In (12/29): Goal: 223 |
I've been losing about 10lbs per month, so hopefully I can keep it up this month.

I'm with Arctic Mama with regard to not really being able to control the scale. My real goals are in my signature, but if I should happen to drop 6 pounds on the way it's a huge bonus.
Just to spell it out a bit more, my goals for december (which I actually started on 25 November) are; - Stay within my allotted calorie range EVERY DAY until my Christmas Eve party on the 24th. - For the 24th, keep the indulgences that night to THAT NIGHT only, not the whole day! Lower calorie drinks -- not heavy, creamy, sugary stuff and not continuing to snack all night once dinner is over. - For the 25th -- rest day from the gym (only because I know we will be hungover and out of town anyway) and keeping meals light during the day. I will even pack my oatmeal and/or a protein bar to have for breakfast instead of the pancakes/sausage/eggs, etc. that will be served. Dinner will be very indulgent, but I'll enjoy it and move on. No bringing home leftover food or alcohol from the event. - BACK ON PLAN the 26th! Get to the gym, sweat out the crap, and keep going. *IF* we decide to go out on New Year's Eve it will be the same; keep meals clean and low cal during the day, workout hard, and limit drinks/dinner to just the one meal. - Overall -- No bringing any seasonal crap/junk food/treats into the house... period. If we don't end up joining friends for dinner/drinks on Christmas and/or New Year's Eve it will be business as usual; gym, healthy meals cooked at home, etc. I really overdid it on Thanksgiving and I vow NOT to do that again in December! |
I'm in!
Start weight: 242 Goal weight: 232 This is going to be tough with Christmas parties, but I think I can do it. |
How about 4 pounds? Shouldn't be hard considering I'm bloated today.
Start weight: 127.4 Goal: 123.4 by 12/31. |
I commited to 10 on a different thread by Jan. 1st. It was for 30 pounds by Jan. 1st though. But I have lost 6 pounds so far, so 4 to go. :D I am so happy because this is the lowest I have weighed in a long time.

I'm in for 5 pounds, but I'm going to make the endpoint December 24 because the holidays are going to be very tough for me to stay on plan with my adult kids and their significant others visiting from the East Coast. I'll be cooking and eating out all week. I probably won't even look at the scale from Christmas until about a week into January by which time, hopefully, I can make a little progress to repair any damage from the holidays. 5 lbs is about all I can do during my best months.

I'm in. I need the motivation, not sure I will make 10 but anything I can lose while trying for 10 lbs is a win.

Ditto... which I should have specified. I'm hoping to hit my goal by the 22nd because the 24th, 25th and possibly 31st I have events to attend. Ideally I'll hit goal on the 22nd and maintain that until the 1st. |
I'm in!
10 lbs by jan 1st. |
I'm in too! I haven't been here for a while because I have been slaaaaacking.... but I'm going weigh myself tomorrow and face the ugly truth. 10 pounds in 4 weeks is do-able considering the amount of physical activity I have planned for the month of December. I'd like to kiss my size 8s & 10s goodbye by the new year....

I slacked off during the holidays on my exercise and keeping up with calorie counts..got back in the gym this morning and weighed in also.

Ok, I need to join this thread for some accountability! I gained through the entire month of November and I'd like to stop that! My goal is 5 pounds this month. :) Thanks for keeping me on track everyone.
