newleaf123 - Well I certainly don't aim to be an inspiration, but I'm flattered that you think so! I suppose I just see it as pretty amazing that in the days generally considered to be the most indulgent and decadent of the whole year so many people are managing to actually LOSE weight! My goal for this month was just to stick to my plan... weight loss is a positive side effect but not entirely necessary. I guess I'll see how it all turned out come Saturday when I do my last WI for the year! |

* * * SW: 227 CW: 227.5 GW: 220 Well, last night was my last official weigh-in of the year, although I'm seriously considering sneaking back to the hospital the day after Christmas to borrow the scale. :lol: I had a Christmas party to attend on Tuesday night for my husband's work. I had very light calories for the day and made sure to eat something immediately before leaving so I wouldn't be too tempted by unknown goodies. I didn't do too bad while there; I had four chicken tenders, one slice of pizza, and one cannoli. Funny how I thought I did much worse until I stopped and actually thought about what I ate! Probably a lot of sodium in the chicken tenders but I know I did ok calorie-wise. And yesterday my TOM started! I'm a week early so it was unexpected, but at least this way I won't have to deal with it for Christmas. But I think both things affected my weigh-in. Regardless, I was down half a pound from last week! I'm guessing it should have been more, and if so it'll be reflected in my next weigh-in. I indulged a little after the meeting with some candy and a small slice of cake, but nothing over the top (it's extremely rare for me to have full-on sweets anymore). I made sure to get half a mile of walking in before going to bed, even though it was late. My next official weigh-in won't be until the ninth of January, which is three whole weeks away. I'd really wanted to lose the 7 pounds for this challenge (which I'd planned on continuing until then), and at the rate I've already been at this month it's hard to say where I'll be. But as long as I'm at least in the 220's, I'll be totally satisfied. I'd spent nearly 13 years wishing I could somehow dip down into the 220's again, so I'm ecstatic that I've finally made it happen. I'll probably completely freak out once I get into the two-teens (since I've never been there as an adult) so maybe it's just as well it happens slowly! :lol: |

Well, as previously reported, I had 3 days of bad choices, then followed by 1 day of okay but not great choices. So, 4 days off. Yesterday was completely on (yay!). So I am going to go 3 more days of completely on, and then weigh myself at the end of that. Which makes my next step on the scale on Monday morning. |

Traveling to visit the parents this week and had a nice morning with the "Silver Sneakers" at my mother's YMCA. She goes to two classes on Friday, so I got 1.5 hours of cardio and 30 minutes of lifting in during that time. Definitely time for lunch.

Bleh...haven't been doing so hot without a scale...I doubt I'm going to drop 3.1 lbs in just over a week.
