I've thrown the remaining jelly beans in the trash. I am done. Moving on with my life, which means not letting this derail me, and just jumping back on the horse. I'm going to plot out an 8-mile walk for tomorrow so I have no excuses, then I'm going to bed. |
My original goal was 162 by Dec 27 (I started on Nov 27) but I will be content with 164.

FluffyPuppy - This time of year, the fact that anyone can maintain let alone LOSE weight is impressive enough! You should be stoked with your losses!
newleaf123 - I'm sorry that you had a bad few days, but like you said today is a new day, back on the horse, all that jazz. :) How was your walk? 8 miles is quite a haul! DougsGirl - I only just heard of naniamo bars a couple of weeks ago and had to google them to see what they are. OMG. I want them in my face like YESTERDAY, so you not eating a whole pan of them sounds like a feat to be proud of to me! I actually haven't had a single holiday goody since Thanksgiving because I don't want to open that floodgate... hahaha. I'm holding out as long as I can because you're right, it IS a delicious month! Hang in there, and remind yourself that it is a lot of salt/water and those fluctuations are normal. You CAN make it through the holidays without packing on a serious amount of weight! fated2loseweight - Yep, what LockItUp said; it's just a motivational thing... just to keep eachother going. :) |

DougsGirl - I'm with you, December is way too delicious. I'm going to be happy with making relatively good choices and then getting back on the wagon hardcore in January. I've done pretty well with all the goodies around, but am definitely not going to make an 8 lb goal. Am down 4 lbs for the month and have hit the 'stall' time in my cycle. I received a giant box of chocolates in the staff gift exchange and put it out for other people to eat, though. So yay me. :) I also made a veggie tree. I've posted the pic elsewhere, but am cross-posting it here. So cute. Just broccoli and cauliflower in a cone styrofoam form, with stars cut out of peppers. Had a doctor's appointment yesterday and my doctor was so excited by my loss that she had to hug me. That was fun. I had routine lab work done before the appointment, though, and my platelets were low. They would have to be MUCH lower to be dangerous. My doctor said it could be just the shock to the body of weight loss, so I am crossing my fingers that that is the case. Recheck in three months for the blood counts. Everything else was normal so it is a pretty isolated finding! |
I'm 4lbs down so far, sitting at 148lbs now.
This week has been a landmark for me - achieving a healthy BMI for the first time since I was a child :carrot: and reaching 75lbs lost! So pleased. Well done everyone else on your progress so far this month. |
Congratulations 1987!!!!! That's such a huge milestone!

Oh, and I've decided not to weigh myself until Monday... no need to get discouraged by my last few days, but soon enough to right the ship if need be :) I did take measurements today, and all seems okay...
