I'm trying a new plan where I do two shorter workouts instead of one long one. It seems to be working; I feel more motivated to workout and end up doing more and working harder than I did before. Some days I go a little overboard.

Penguin I think breaking up your workouts is a great idea. Whatever it takes to stay motivated! I was posting my progress once a month. I would have to go back and find what I weighed before, etc. Now that I can see it in my signature, it's even more motivating.

I wasn't exactly sure where to post this, but I just joined the site last Friday and I've started my weight loss journey about a month ago, and it's been a struggling battle my whole life as most of us know...today I cheated and I just wanted to dig a hole and stay in it forever. I know I shouldn't beat myself up about it. And I'm sure you've all heard this so many times on the forums. But I really need support through this, because this is life we're talking about. Not about food, or weight or pounds... but life. Our quality of life, the way we move daily, feel about ourselves. I don't know I'm lost.. help!

1pm ~ Whole Hog BBQ ~ 3 slices of beef brisket, 1/2 cup potato salad, 1/3 c baked beans, 1/4 cup slaw, water
4pm ~ 2 heart shaped sugar cookies
7pm ~ 2 eggrolls, 2 packets duck sauce, 1/2 serving Sweet and Sour chicken and brown rice, water.
8:30pm ~ 2 more heart shaped sugar cookies.

Naya, I had this same problem a few weeks ago. I felt everytime I cheated I should give up because it 'proved' I couldn't lose weight 'because' I had cheated. But I was wrong. Put it behind you and start fresh as soon as your realize you ate off plan.. Don't beat yourself up; think about what you were feeling while/before you ate, but don't worry about it, admit the mistake, and move on.
I read Dr Beck's The Beck Diet Solution and that really helped me with eating off plan {cheating}, why I eat, and gave me techniques to help me stop overeating and to think before I eat. Beck is a psychologist, her program isn't about what you eat, but why you eat, and how to re-train your brain/thoughts toward 'normal' eating habits.
