I had the BIGGEST craving for pizza last night as i was in bed! so today i was careful with what i ate during the day , so i could have 2 slices of pizza for dinner. and made sure i got in some exercise aswell.
wow Angela 70 minutes is AMAZING! impressive
0.8 lbs is nothing to worry about. you will lose it, its perfectly normal to fluctuate up and down.
and what Sunni said, is right! its just water retention.

Sunni wrote = Echo - Good job on your exercise! I want to try the couch to 5K, but I get impatient and always think "well I'll just skip ahead to the jogging 0.5 mile point" and I get all the way up to 2 miles and then quit. Crazy, huh? I'm sure it's part of that self-sabotage cycle.
Thanks Sunni!!! I appreciate that yah maybe when you come back you can try it
I wanted to share with you guys my weight loss progress, its been exactly a month since i got real serious about losing weight.
here's a graph, as you can see, weight fluctuations are normal, and being plateud for a couple of weeks are to be expected.
So today i have lost 10 lbs in 1 month. But who knows what my weight will be tommorow ! hehehe but that's okay, i know i can lose it by being careful with my diet tommorow.
i also measured myself this morning when i weighed myself
1 month ago:
waist - 32.5 inches
belly - 37 inches (measured around the belly button)
I'm so glad i took these measurements, as i can really see the progress i have made. just made me realise, everyday does make a difference and anything is possible.
Got my 8 glasses of water in, a little over 2ltrs in all
Took a break on the exercise to flush out the water...back at it bright and early tomorrow morning!
water
large salad with 1 oz FF cheese and reduced fat french dressing
1/2 cup snow pea pods
banana
strawberries
six cheese crackers
diet dr. pepper
coffee, black
water
water
gluten free fettuchini alfredo entree
1 1/2 cups asparagus
six cheese crackers
diet dr. pepper
1 cup of cottage cheese
sprinkle of bacon bits
I did not exercise much and I need to improve in this area. Although I am doing something everyday for exercise, even if it is just walking on my break at work, but I feel the need to step it up.
Echo - I'm a scale junkie too. I've been going through serious withdrawal over here. If we weren't sharing a suitcase, I would have packed my scale too. I have a problem! It's so hard not knowing how much damage I've done (or good). Blah. Tonight, I'll be reunited with my scale and tomorrow I'll beat it for telling me I gained weight. Nice graph by the way. Mine's a mess, see for yourself.
Angela - good going on the lunch decision! I find it difficult to choose healthy when I haven't planned ahead of time, so good for you!
Totally nervous about my weigh-in on Sunday. Mostly because of yesterday...
Yesterday's food confession:
Breffix - 1 brownie. I succumbed. We bought it with dinner the previous night and it was just sitting there and I was hungry and well...ok, no excuses, I was weak.
Lunch - Buffet. Very unspectacular. Was easy to not eat much. I did eat 3 cream puffs, 1/4 of a slice of carrot cake, a mini eclair and a slice of some cake that tasted good and had only 1/4 in of icing. Yeah, I splurged on desserts because I didn't eat much lunch.
Dinner - This was the worst meal of the day by far. We ate at a chinese restaurant, a hip one . We had singapore noodles and garlic&tomato chicken. Both of us were HUNGRY and we ate. We also had non-alcholic margaritas and while it was good, I knew it wasn't fat-free...
Lots of damage yesterday. We walked a fair amount. I'm just hoping my gain isn't too much that it will discourage me. Argh! I can't believe my vacay started out so well and then just spiraled into this (food-wise). Oh well, back to the drawing board tomorrow!
[COLOR="Indigo"][SIZE="2"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Agreed.. love the graph!
aww Thank you Angela!!
awesome on the calorie intake !

LOL!! that's hilarious!! and glad to know i'm not the only scale junkie around here hehehehe
sunni dont be so hard on yourself!! its not like you're on holiday every month!! you deserve abit of a break and let loose. you can burn those calories in no time when you're back!!
lol at you beating your scale . you're so funny! you crack me up!
thanks for sharing your graph! love it
thanks for sharing your graph! love it no matter the peaks and the lows you got bang on target. that is impressive!!!
i was listening to jillians podcast this morning , and something she said really hit home to me.
she was talking to a caller who was saying, is it worth it
and she used the analogy of.
if i told you that if you ran on this threadmill for 1 hour tommorow you will be 100 lbs lighter, would you do it?
and the caller said yes.
then jillian said, then its worth it.
every time you eat healthy. exercise, or resist temptation, you're taking that one step closer to one day being at your goal weight.
which can also be used in other aspects of your life. like studying a paper. if it meant passing your exam, would you read it. of course i would. i never thought about it like that. i used to always feel overwelmed. but now i'm trying to change my outlook
of course you're gonna trip up and fall. but you just dust yourself and try again!!!
ps i just joined that thread! so thanks dogmom for telling me about it. as i really need to stay away from over eating and binging!!! so thank you we can do it together!
dinner:
appetizer : 3 home made small stuffed mushrooms with low fat cottage cheese (onion and chive and garlic) spinkled with homemade breadcrumbs. (52 calories)
main - salad (50 calories), 1/3 cup lamb curry (77 calories) with 1 small lamb chop (226 calories), 1/4 cup of brown lentil soup (75 calories).
i like calorie counting, its fun hehehe its probably not really accurate. but i dont care hehe :-) its just a way to monitor what i'm doing whilst on the paul mckenna programe.
Sunni. i was just looking at my fit day graph.
and i noticed something interesting. i noticed my plauteau.
it almost looks like, cause i lost the weight below the "target" ie underneath the line of the graph. my body stabilised it, until it was TIME to lose abit more. funny aint it! hehe
I ate ice cream today!
hmmm so like over the last past year I have rarely eaten ice cream and now it seems like an every other day occurrence this past week or two! My mom always wants to go out for ice cream so we did that a few times last week. But again she wants to go out today and I said no, you have ice cream at the house, eat that (doesn't this sound like something a mother would tell the kid?)
For one, I know how many calories the ice cream at home has because I can read the labels. I also know it has zero trans fats since I read the label & ingredients closely. Also there is portion size...even the small is very big eating out and I hate to waste it by throwing it away or have it melt on the way home...so eating a little ice cream at home seems a smarter choice...
Well she gets out the ice cream and I grab a spoon and she asks what I am doing? Well I wanted a few spoon fulls so while she is filling up her dish she puts a spoon full on the lid and pushes it over to me!
So I hate that I ate ice cream but I bet it has less calories than the ice cream I would have eaten at the restaurant place?

ah dont worry ! having a few bites of ice cream isnt going to do any damage.
i ate ice cream today aswell hehe. i was craving it for a week! finally had it today. but i just made sure for the rest of the day i was careful with what i ate (ate a healthier dinner with no carbs to compensate, and pushed myself abit harder on the exercise)
