Nice gloves Frus makes me wonder about your instructor though wearing PINK!

Its a weird day today..was blowing a gale during the night and the power went out..it poured down all morning and now the sun has come out

Sarah Ann, You're not from TEXAS by any chance are you?

Don't know what to do with myself four days off..I was going to take myself off to Vegas tonight but the flight only gets back late on tuesday night so i'd have had to stay in Vancouver then get the 7am ferry on wednesday to get to work for 11 so I did'nt bother..don't fancy going on my own anyway and I could'nt tempt hubby to come with me..he works every day..even christmas day if we don't go away so i'm used to having to amuse myself

What a day, we went to the movies and saw Munich. Daniel Craig was gorgeous, with a rather dodgy Afrikaans accent!!! And Eric Bana was fabulous. It was kinda a good story, I think the story was about as historically accurate as George Galloway's version of his relationship with Saddam Hussein, however, not to worry!

We had sushi for lunch which was delicious, and I got chatting to the person next to me, who happens to be from Sydney and walked into a London recruitment agency who found her a job.........in Wigan!!!! What a culture shock!!!! So we've swapped phone numbers!!!

No exercise today!!!! Shock!!!!

Chinsaws, BB...it's all sounding very scary to me...

Cathy, you should have booked a flight to AZ instead of Vegas and come and hung out with me luvey...how come you have four days off anyhow? I have a three day weekend this week, but only cos I took a personal day for Monday as I have to take Hannah to doc appointments.

By the way, we're moving... AGAIN!! Dave left me on thursday to cross the country again. He has a new job in Massachussets (think that's how it's spelt). We're staying out here until summer time for me and Hannah to finish the school year...so Cathy, maybe when I'm closer up north to you, we could arrange to meet, although I know you loved it down here and remember Wickenburg is on my doorstep if you ever fancy another visit before the summer

Love the pink gloves Frus...I love pink at the moment...have a pink handbag. Time for bed now, have a new book to read...

Love the pink gloves Frus - I alos ain't no girly girl, but I love pink. In fact, I ALMOST bought this bike http://www.trekbike.co.uk/2006/?sec=...eID=22&ID=222# because I loved the colour so much, but in the end I decided making a £900 purchasing decision purely on the basis of colour was one girly step too far so I pulled back from the brink and bought a much more appropriate and better-value-for-money boring silver-grey bike instead.

Man, I'm getting old...

Hope everyone's enjoying their weekend.

Veggie, are you suffering from BB withdrawal symptoms?

Hmmmmmmm I think our girly girls are coming out of the closet as we lose weight!!!

I'm doing the futile shopping for exercise gear today. Ok it is easier now I am a size 18 but still not easy!!! We had a look around the shops yesterday and Col says quite loudly "why do people think that fat chicks doen't exercise??" well, precisely.

I ened some tops and desperately in need of bottoms, that aren't too figure hugging but too loose, is it so much to ask???

M & S had a great range, but now the bottoms are still gerat, but they only have little tops, best described as disco tops, waste of time!

I've been for a swim this morning, and Col has gone missing, can't even find the cat! Oh well, I suppose they'll be back when they're hungry!!!

Back from my long run, today I managed somewhere between 10 and 11 miles (it was up country paths which aren't shown on google maps so I can't plot it accurately ). Still, I ran for about an hour and 50 minutes, and drawing a relatively straight line down the trail bits it still comes to 10.3 miles so I reckon it's more like 11.

I have to say I'm getting an exercise gear addiction at the moment, I love my posh new running stuff Have you tried Asda, the George in Leeds city centre actually had some decent looking wicking t-shirt tops which I'm going to try, and they tend to do everything up to a 20 or 22 let alone an 18.

I got a top and some bottoms at TK Maxx today, yippee! The top is girly girl pink!!! I blame frus for that! I also got some bathers (cozzie, swimming togs whatever you lot call em) and a sports bra, it's only a level two, but will be fine for work (I workout at lunchtime, mainly toning so no bouncy bouncy stuff!!!)

I got cross at JJB sports as they would only let me take two things at a time into the change room. Must be my convict heritage they don't trust!

And I went to the new JJB posh gym, that opens in a couple of weeks and had a tour. Very swish, I'm going to join!!! They'll give me February for free (and so they should as they are only open for half of it!!!) and it's £35 per month, compared to £28 I pay now, and it has twice as much stuff!!! And classes!!! And spas (two of em) And yoga classes!!!

It sounds very nice, I'm jealous! (And it's cheaper than mine, grr)

I haven't bought anything pink recently but it's just a matter of time. Or at least not since my big Zara shop in Spain at Christmas anyway when I got a nice pink top with a sparkly butterfly on it

It does look very good and the staff seem friendly. It has two workout studios, and it has fitballs to play on, my current gym doesn't have that. And no brats! Kids are only permitted in the pool 2 - 5 weekdays and 9-12 weekends, yippee!!!!!!!!!

I think it might be nap time now!

Oh Chris wish i'd known I would have been there i've been saying to myself all weekend "Why are you sitting here? you could be enjoying yourself in Las Vegas" You'll be further away when you move all the way over on the east coast so I can't imagine that the weather will be anything like you've been used to in AZ but look how close to New York you'll be you can drive there if you've never been..I have'nt and just look at how close you'll be to England too just a small leap over the pond and you'll be home in 4hrs or so..whoopee reason i've got four days off is because no-one is shopping much now after the christmas rush so they don't need us part-timers (mugs) the same..i've only been getting 12-14hrs a week..and next week but one I only get one 6hr shift Anyway, i've taken another job at another store so i'll get 12 regular hours there on even less money if you can believe that! that means on the day of my 6hr shift i'll be working at both jobs which will give me a 7-7 day

Cat - so much work!

How come a fake celeb can win celebrity BB?? I just don't get it!

Been to Utrecht, it was great, very trendy and very cheap and arty and very very cold! I bought some lovely red shoes, a blue military coat, a bright orange vest top with fuschia pink sequins, a bright yellow zip top for running, a grey long sleeved T-shirt, a new wallet, bright pink and bright green shortie knickers, eyeliner, er.. I think that's it! Then we went to Haarlem and had McDonalds! then went on a bus trip and a train trip and back to Amsterdam to get the coach home over night.

Yesterday we stayed in bed all morning, then spent loadsa money on fruit and veggies in Tesco - an extra 20 quid on fruit and veggies! Came home and made lemon and herb chicken for the week, roast veggies (squash, courgettes, aubergine, carrots, broccoli) and boiled up about 2 cups of brown rice. So I can bung all the stuff in my bag, bring it to work and whack it in the micro rather than living off scrambled eggs and cottage cheese!

Slept in this morning so really just getting into the "awake" phase of the day! Quite scary considering I rode here for about 40 mins...
