Remember Me?

Hi everyone. I am terribly embarrassed that I have not taken the time to post over the last several days, and I will try to do better with that. I have had alot of things on my mind and on my plate (the proverbial plate, that is ;) ), but I know I need to be on here in order to stay on track. The BF is back on the road for the next 2 weeks, and I will need you guys to help me make some strong progress before he gets back - especially since I will be starting my TOM this week and will be feeling way too big. :censored:

I hope you are all well - welcome to all the newbies we have gotten over the past week and I hope you are as glad to be part of the group as I am! :hug:

Nori71 01-23-2006 03:35 PM

Well this is the start of week two being house bound with sick kiddos. My 2 year old seems to be on the mend now and keeps asking to go "play" - that's what she calls the gym!!! Of course she does get to play. It still seems like "work" to me!! My 9 month old is SO sick though. I think it's just a cold of the "regular variety", but I did put a call into the peds this am. I could suction her nose every 15 minutes and it just doesn't stop. Eating is difficult. Everything is difficult for her. Poor thing. She's coughing so bad now and just cannot get rest.

But the good news is that woking out at home worked for me and I lost another 3 pounds last week. I've lost 3 pounds each week for the past 3 weeks, and suppose it'll slow up a little any time now. Especially since I will get AF next week. (I'm not used to calling her TOM yet.) Today I did Denise Austin's Shrink Your Female Fat Zones and it was a great workout. I'm going to do WATP later this afternoon. I'm having DH pick up the Biggest Loser dvd for me today - since I cannot make it out of the house. We tried to rent it, but it was always out. I hope the mis-steps don't distract me too much. I'm a little concerned about that because even shoe laces dragging on dvd's kinda bug me!:^:

Erin - did you get a new scale?

Well, gotta go eat some lunch. Only ate 1/2 a Zone bar for bf because I've been sobusy being a Mom!:)

Hi

Hi gang,

Nori - I have not gotten the scale yet, but I bought an upgranded verision off ebay it should be here at the end of the week. It is one of the fat monitor/body scale. SOrry to hear the kids are sick and I hope they are feeling better.

I did weigh in our office scale ( I work at an insurnace agency). It said 284 so I am not sure where I actually am. I am fine with 280s becuase it is still lower than I have been. One of the girls at work said she could tell in my stomach and someone I have not seen in two months said I was looking good so for the meantime I have to be happy with those results. I have a doctor's appointment in the begining of March so hopefully I will get a good idea of how accurate the new scale is after I have that appointment.

I ate really well today. Not much exercise - I am hoping to get something in after my son goes to bed and before I get some work done at home tonight. Tomorrow will be an early day in the office so I will have to work out otmorrow night as well.

Divalared - my husband is back on the road this week. I know it is hard when they ar out of town, but I just try to keep my portion under control.

Have a good night all

Nori71 01-23-2006 07:32 PM

When I worked in a pediatric office one of the docs worked with anorexic girls and we had one of those scales. Just make sure you follow the directions that come with it regarding the body fat calculations. Ours wasn't a super duper one - it was a Tanita and around $200 - but it mattered what time of day it was, what your water intake was (anorexics will drink lots of water right before weighing), if you were on AF...anyways, it was very cool, but very particular. Hopefully your's will be easier. Let us know.

My baby does have an ear infection. I'm so glad I went ahead and took her in. It's her first one. Poor thing. At least she got some antibiotics and hopefully will be feeling better in 2-3 days now.

marinemommyof2 01-24-2006 12:15 PM

Where is everyone? How is your week going? I went to the doctor today for my yearly exam. Even with the weight I've lost, I still got the "you're clinically obese" talk. Talk about depressing. My blood pressure was up, and the dr. asked me to go get blood work done. So I walked up to the lab and they took 5 vials of blood for different tests. She wanted to check my thyroid, vitamin b12 levels, blood sugar, cholesterol, iron levels, and it seems like there was something else.

The good news? Only a few pounds to go where I move from the "obese" section on the bmi scale to the "overweight." YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here's to removing the word "obese" from our charts, ladies.

PS - ELIZABETH & J - WHERE ARE YOU GUYS???

serena37 01-24-2006 12:51 PM

doing a little better

Hi everyone. Well I did manage to last 10 minutes on the eliptical last night which is an accomplishment for me cause I usually can't last more than 5 so yay for me. Two of my 3 boys have been sick this week too. Boy is that rough. About two months ago all 3 were really sick and they all were taking 2 to 3 different medications a piece so I was having to write down every little thing that I gave them and when just to make sure I didn't over dose any of my children. It would take me about a half an hour to give all of them their medicines during the day. Anyway, I really love my husband but I might would actually do better if he were one of the out of towners just cause he doesn't know how to be supportive correctly. When I tried to start back on WW a few months ago, my first week back I lost 4 pounds and he was like that's great and then the next week I lost 2 pounds and he was like you need to do better next week. So I started eating what i wanted and was back where i started. I'm an extreme emotional eater. This turned out to be more of a personal life than a weight loss post, sorry, but I just don't have anyone to talk to these days. The few people that I thought were friends turned out to be users and the one friend I do have moved away.

DivaLaRed 01-24-2006 01:19 PM

Miss Serena, anytime you need to post emotions or weight loss info, IT IS ALL WELCOME!!!! Trust me, this week, I will be doing much more personal than weight!!!!

Have you tried telling your hubby that he is not motivating you the way you need him to? Alot of guys actually aren't trying to be mean (I hope that is your case) but they just don't know how to adjust their "sensitivity chip" when it comes to dealing differently with women than they do their buddies. He needs to try and understand that with 3 kids, losing ANY weight in a week is a HUGE accomplishment (I should know - I have no kids and haven't lost ANY :mad: )

nighthawk 01-24-2006 01:28 PM

Hi Everyone.
So far this week has been going well for me I took a couple of days off on the elliptical and it really gave me energy for Mondays work out I blew my previous best distance out of the water ( I stay on for 1 hour no matter how slow I am moving) I joined weight watchers Sat and my food has been really good since then. My official weigh in day isn't til Sat but I am addicted to the scales and so far it looks pretty good this week.

Nori: Kelowna is straight north from Omak about an hours drive over the border.

Lori

marinemommyof2 01-24-2006 02:56 PM

Serena - great job on the elliptical! Like you, when I started using the elliptical, I could only do 5 - 10 minutes at a time. I'm happy to say, when you keep at it, you really can add time! Now, I get on and do 45 minutes. Then, to keep things constantly changing, I do either the treadmill or the stationary bike. (My gym days are M, T, Th, Fr)

Lori - way to go upping the distance!!!!!!! Can I ask how far you're going? I need to go faster, I think. It's taking me 15 minutes to do a mile.

DivaLaRed - lol! Love the "sensitivity chip." LOL Guys just have a different perspective on so much.

KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK EVERYONE

MommaAshley 01-24-2006 04:01 PM

Surprise Surprise !!

:^: Hi Ladies :grouphug: ~

I hope this finds all of you doing well ! I am so sorry I haven't been around. I am not much on during the weekends since that's when we're working on our home renovation project, and we got to spend ample time with Sam who is 10 months old !! I have enjoyed reading and playing catch up with all of your posts !! I came to work yesterday full anticipating to get on here and say Hello, but our net was down so I was so unhappy :( Anywhoo. . . on a positive this weekend it was so nice J & I took Sam out for a stroll down out country road we live on. You would have thought he won the lottery he was SO Excited !! J & I both have been dieting and exercising ~:coach: which I've just got to get off my frumpy rump and do !! :drill: )

What I REALLY want to know is how EVERYONE of you Ladies is doing ? :chin:
From what I've read everyone seems to be doing quite well ? :carrot:

:welcome3: to all the Newcomers !! I hope you enjoy being part of this AWESOME group of Ladies !! I look forward to hearing ALL about you and what you're doing on your personal diet journey !! :welcome3:

From the posts ~ It seems everyone is doing well on their diet and exercise !!

:cheer: WOOHOO FOR WEIGHTLOSS, GOOD DIET & EXERCISE !! :cheer:

I also wanted to share a little update of what I am doing !! Hope you don't mind !! :^:

Weightloss & Diet UPDATE !!!

I have lost an additional 3 lbs ~ for Grand Total of 16 lbs since January 1st :)

Here's some of what I am doing as stated in my 1st initial post in this thread:

1. Completely gave up sugar - Splenda is a wonderful supplement for helping tone down the sweet tooth !

2. Eating a maximum of 1200 calories a day ~ if that

3. Limit of 1 Soda a day, Diet & pref. Caffeine free

4. Exercise at least 30 mins a day (still struggling w/ this one)

5. Drinking LOTS of water !!

My Mom is a retired Registered Dietian, and so that helps out a TON !! She counts everything at dinner. And it's a surprise with certain things we eat for a meal. But she gives me an analysis every night, so I can maintain my caloric intake !! YAY for my Mom !!

Yay for J my hubby who's doing this too - he's losing inches and weight !! And he's SO supportive !! :hug: :love:

And to answer some of ya'll about the Denise Austin dvd - I haven't tried it yet !! Which is TERRIBLE - but that is on my BIG to-do list !! ;)

Thank you ladies, also for sharing your meal plans, snack ideas, and helpful hints. :carrot: :cb:

My one tip - when you need to curb your sweet tooth - Purchase Sugar Free Gum and chew it until your jaws are sore !! I know that sounds ICK, but the flavor and smell and the achy jaws does me in :o

Hugs ~

Katie Bug 01-24-2006 05:58 PM

Hey Ladies! How is everyone?

I haven't been around for the past few days. I kind of fell off the wagon this weekend and didn't count calories at all. I've also had no energy whatsoever - I'm struggling to stay awake right now! I hope this goes away because I miss my intense workouts.

In other news, I found a beautiful dress for prom this year - (I hope this link isn't removed) http://www.davidsprom.com/images/dre...ll/9518431.jpg. Now I have extra motivation to lose weight. Prom is April 29, so I'll have plenty of time to lose some inches around my waist and hips, my two problem areas. I'm excited! :carrot:

edit: Elizabeth, that is a very cute image in your signature :)

ejb180 01-24-2006 06:28 PM

Im Tired

Well it has been a long day. I really do not think I am going to get to the 30 min mark today (of exercise), but I did get a little in here and there. I do not want to drain myself for the entire week. I am doing well on the calories and water intake. I am probably drinking too many sodas, but if they are diet I can live with that.

Katie - that is a great dress; I am sure you will look great.

Take care - Erin

Very cute dress! Love that color! My 2 year old is sitting here and when I opened the link, she exclaims, "Oh pretty...dress for dance..."! I think she's been watching too much Dancing With The Stars - right off the bat she knew what you wore a dress like that for - God knows I don't have any!

BTW - I did The Biggest Loser workout dvd this morning. It is GOOD! I really feel that I worked all my muscles and can see why these folks toned up so well!

** Stacye ** 01-24-2006 07:44 PM

Look who the cat drug in!! Y'all remeber me?? I know I haven't been around the last several days ... things with work have just been super busy - I promise to do much better this week!

Elizabeth :: Just wanted to let you know that I'm moving in with your mom - so let her know I'm coming! lol The DH & I were talking this weekend and told him that I was going to find either a Dietitian and/or a Nutritionist this week, I've had it with trying to figure it all out - but again things have been so busy that I haven't done that either! grrrrr *making note* I WILL make that call tomorrow!
:carrot: :carrot: on 16 lbs so far ... you're doing an awesome job hun, keep it up!!

Katie :: The dress is gorgeous, you're going be stunning in it! Be sure to post some pics after so we can see!

Big *waves* to everyone else ... hope you're all doing ok!
I have tons of reading to catch up on, so I'll be back when I'm done.

Oh and btw - I was down 4 lbs this week - 9 lbs total for the month of January - and Total loss since August is 65 lbs ... I still have a ways to go, but I'm so :D about that!
Also, my DH takes progress pics of me on the 22nd of each month (wearing the same clothes) ... I have new ones posted in my siggy if anyone would like to take a look.

Be back in a bit!

ETA: I've changed the pics in my siggy - didn't want to confuse anyone b/c the post stated that I had the same clothes on and in these I don't! lol

Katie - your dress is very pretty...My daughter is going to prom this year also...hers is in may...I know you will have a wonderful time and you will look great in your dress.

As for me....I didn't get to exercise yesterday...I went to see Aerosmith in concert last night after work....He is so great...They really put on a great show....Didn't get to sleep til after one so not enough sleep....I'm going to try to at least ride my bike tonight but I'm really tired...I am doing good with my eating so far this week.

sehh 01-24-2006 08:00 PM

Hi I would like to join too. I am 43 living in Alberta. I am currently going to WW and am down about 6 lbs. I just joined the gym and go 3 times a week at the very least. I really like it. I am NOT and excercise person but this program really seems to work for me. it is 30 min start to finish--perfect for me.

I am married and have 2 kids 18 & 16 and 1 stepdaughter who is 26 and a grandson who is 16 months. My motivation is to see them all mrrried and happy. My short term goal is to take up hiking with my hubby. We plan on a backpack trip for a weekend in the mountains. I am looking forward to it. I am good on the walking staight and narrow as I have a dog and walk him about 45 minutes 4 times a week but let me tell you that hill just about kill me. I want to be able to do stairs and not be totally out of breath at the top!!

I see you all are trying to quit sugar, HOW on earth do you do that?? Cold turkey? To me it is almost like quitting drugs! I can't even imagine it.

Please help me on this one!

Sorry, I cannot help you. I haven't been able to have 1 day so far with NO sugar. I really got into a sugar rut during the holidays this year. I haven't "lost control" with sugar since I started. But I do need to set that as a goal now. Even if I manage to not have a nibble of something sweet, I ALWAYS have 1 teaspoon chocolate syrup in my morning coffee. I do like Splenda - got look into that more.

Elizabeth - do you bake with Splenda? I remember I baked banana bread once and it turned of "different".

nighthawk 01-24-2006 10:50 PM

Hi Everyone, I've had another good day.:D

Sarah: I was doing a little more then 4 mi on the elliptical then I took off the weekend and Mon I did 5.67 mi, Tues was a less at 4.51 and Today I did 5.16 and, drum roll please, I LIKED IT!! My resolution this year was to do an hour a day I just got on the first of Jan and said I had to keep on till I did an hour on the timer. No moving no time, so a couple of days it actually took almost 70 minutes to do my hour but this week I am liking it.

Elizabeth: Congrats on meeting so many of your goals

Katie: what a beautiful dress you will look stunning in it.

Stacye : I check out your pic what an inspiration you are

Sandy: Nice to meet you, you're going to like here. We have a few thing in common Age, weight, foodplan and I LOVE to hike. I quit sugar cold turkey dec 28 after a few days the craving went away, until then I used sugar free pop to get me through. I find if I stay away from sugar the whole food plan is easier to follow. Good luck with quiting

Have a great Wednesday everyone
Lori

ejb180 01-25-2006 06:43 AM

Morning -

I am up and ready to get 15 minutes in before dropping my son at day care and get into work. I am trying to figure out the best way to get my schedule organized so I can get time for an entire workout. I really want to do the Biggest Loser workout again, but I am not sure how working out late at night (after 7) will work - any thoughts for those who work out in the evening. I usually have done morning, but get rushed when my husband is out of town. Right after work is not the best since my 3 yr old son wants to join in and I would end missing half the work out in order to avoid falling on him.

Lori - You have done great with the ellipitical workouts - WAY TO GO!!! :)

Stayce - you did great with the weight loss - good for you!!!

Momto2 - I have baked with spenda at Christmas and sometimes it is trail and error to see which recipes it works in. For sweets I typically use a half and half mix. It at least lowers calories and no one ever says anything (and I usually threaten if you do not say something about it being icky - that means I will keep making it).

Hope everyone has an awesome day - Erin

kmccann 01-25-2006 03:37 PM

Hi everyone, hope your having a good day! I have been to the doctor and have a sinus infection and fluid in my ears so the exercise is on hold. Hard to walk on the treadmill when you dizzy. The diet is going okay though because I don't feel like eating (the "only" good thing about being sick). I have only lost the 4 pounds since I started on January 13th.

Erin-I normally work out in the evening, I'm not a morning person. It works well for me and I sleep better but my children are old enough to leave me alone for that time.

Got to go lay down, talk to everyone later!

MommaAshley 01-25-2006 03:38 PM

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To answer some questions about Splenda ~ I use the sugars - both white and brown, and the baking kind. I must admit Splenda in incredible, and I really learned to love it last year when I was pregnant and was Gestational Diabetic ! But it's my friend now since I gave up sugar !! Splenda is wonderful when making just about anything. Once you start using it you get used to it !! :D
Now I have some questions :chin:
What in the WORLD is an elliptical ? I don't know what it is, or what it looks like, etc and so forth :o
Who all is using exercise videos ? Which ones, and how do you like them ?
Well all that's all for now !!! I will be checking in again this afternoon. BTW, another Biggest Loser "Families" starts tonight !! LOVE that show !! :carrot:
Just thought I'd share.
I'll bbl to write...got to go do my workout while both of them are sleeping...:carrot:
BTW - Jen, that happens sometimes. You'll make up for it next week. I don't know the scientific reason...and it's frustrating...probably just water...hormones...being a woman... You just have to know that you are doing everything right...and you didn't gain...YOU STILL LOST FAT!!!!!
MommaAshley 01-25-2006 05:29 PM
Hi Jen ~ :hug: NO worries on .6 gain !!! It's amazing how much our bodies fluctuate in regards to sodium and water !! Isn't life just GRAND ?! Keep up the good work and hang in there !! ;)
Mom2Two ~ OMG what beautiful Children you have !! Your girls are so precious ! You're so pretty too !! Thanks for sharing pics !! :D
I would LOVE to see pics of all of you !! I know you've seen one pic of J & I, and now our son. :)
Why thanks! Of course I think they're beautiful! Your little fellow is adorable as well! Is he 10 months? I thin k you said that. Melina is 9 months - born 4-11. And I'm always willing to share their pics - it's mine I'm more stingy with. I need to have DH take a full length pic of me soon. The most recent full length picI have is a belly shot (fully clothed:p ) from about 1 year ago. Here's a family picture from July. I couldn't get the colors adjusted right scanning it in, so it's kinda dark.
hump day is right
Hello everyone! I have been lazy, and not checked in, in a few days! We seem to grow so fast. :welcome2: Today is truly a hump day. I fell off of the wagon today and I ate what I should not have. :o Not only do I emotionly regret it, but I physically regret it. The food just tore my stomach up. I have begun my exercise routine. Haven't done that today either! I would like to try The Biggest Loser tape. You all have said very good things about it. Can't wait until tonights show. Of course, since I go to bed so early because of work, I tape it with Tivo and watch it the next day.
I absolutely love all of the pictures that everyone has posted. I will get my picture on here soon. I will try tomorrow. I have a feeling there are a lot of reality tv viewers on here. I have a picture of my kids with Ty Pennington. They did an Extreme Home Makeover house in my town in December. It has not aired yet. My daughter was ecstatic. We were able to be
closer then most people, we had connections. :smug: We did not stay for the reveal though.
Well, I hope everyone is doing well, hopefully better than I am. My father in law is going through a bad stage right now. It is taking a toll on us. For those who knew I was spending the day with my husband and kids this last Monday, We had a BLAST!:D
Thank you everyone for letting me vent, talk to all of you soon!
Catherine:halfempty
dgpebbles 01-25-2006 07:21 PM
Hey everyone
Well I didn't get to exercise yesterday either..I was just too tires from the lack of sleep from the day before.
Elizabeth - I have been using the new biggest loser dvd with Bob training..so far I like it...and I also like quickfix total workout for toning ...today I went to best buy and bought a few dvd workouts of Jillian training from the biggest loser so I will be trying them this week...I also bought a DDR(dance dance revolution) which Ive seen alot of girls on here talk about
sandy - sugar is really hard to cut out..it's my biggest craving...I buy sugarfree hard candys so the flavor last a while and also sugarfree ic cream bars...I also have a reciepe for peanut butter cookies baked with splenda if you all want it...their a little dry but they do the trick....hicking in the mountians sounds like alot of fun...I wish I had something like that to look forward to..
Lori - great job on the elliptical...keep it up girl
Katrina - sorry your sick...get some rest and feel better soon
sweetpeas - your family is so cute...you all look so happy.
I try to do my dvd workouts in the morning(that is when I can get my butt out of bed) and I ride my bike at night after supper.
Have a great night everyone
I've done workouts at all times of the day and evening. I usually try to go to the gym arround 11am. Right now I do a dvd wheneven both girls, or at least one is napping.
I like BL and Walk Away The Pounds the best of all my dvd's.
Elizabeth - an elliptical is a machine that you do cardio on, and it's SUPER easy on your joints because your feet are on the pedals the whole time. Here is the brand we use at the gym (Precor isthe brand) http://www.precor.com/cons/efx/533/.
Mom2-Beautiful family!!! Your husband looks like one of my husband's staff sgts.
Hump day Jamamom? YOU BET!!!!!!!!
To everyone - keep up the good work, and whatever you do, don't give up. I just read an article with Bob Greene (Oprah's trainer) that said most of the battle is believing you're worth it and you deserve it.
Good luck!!!
Hi everyone! :) I'm excited to be joining you all. A little bit about me. I am Vanessa :) I am 26, married with two little boys 2.5y and 9months. I am a student at night, working on my bookkeeping.
After my first son was born I weighed my highest of 261. I lost 63 pounds before conceiving my second son a year later. I gained the 63 pounds back to weigh 261 after my second was born too. 9 months later I have lost that 60 pounds and now I am working on the 50 pounds I gained when I got married.
I dont know how I lost that 60 pounds, breastfeeding, stress, a lot of summertime walking with a colicky baby.
I went and got a gym membership, I can go during the day and put my kids in the in house childminding/gymnasticky type of thing they have there. There are tons of classes for me to go to during the day and I have taped the schedule to my wall so I can glance at it and go! I go and see the personal trainer there on friday night.
I spent the day trying to find a sports bra. Heh, what a frustrating thing to do. Everywhere I went had sports bras for 100 pound girls with no boobs. Not a 200 pound mama with nursing boobs!
So, finally I went and ordered a really expensive one from the sears catalogue, but at least I am hoping that my boobs wont move an inch in it.
Hi everyone!!
Well I took my little one and grandmother out to dinner. I had a salad and some chicken breast. We came home and I went to work and did the BL workout. I think it was a little harder after a full day of work, but I am glad I put it in.
Welcome Vanessa - good job on joing the gym - hope you find some classes you like and let us know any pointers the trainer gives you.
Momto2 - your family is a great looking bunch
dgpebbles - let us know how the Jillian Michaels DVDs are - I was thinking of getting those next, but have not heard much on them - would be interested in someones view.
Here is a pic from Halloween 05 of my husband, myself and the little guy. I think this is my heaviest 300ish. I could not find a recnt picture, but will try to get one this weekend.
Take care - E
Loretta's mini goals...
Allright, it's time for me to hunker down and do some serious work here!!!! I have decided to make mini goals instead of the long term ones (that always seem sooooo much harder to achieve).
For the next 7 days:
1.) Eat less fat and work more vegetables into my meals. :carrot:
2.) MOVE!!! :dance:
3.) MOVE some more!!! :ebike:
4.) Smile! :D
5.) Get my heart rate up more, for longer stints (see 2 & 3). :dancer:
6.) Lose 1.5 pounds. :goodscale
nymmy,
I remember the Oprah show had a really good bra that they were showing off unfortunately I couldn't remember the name and couldn't find it on the web sight but you might try looking on her web sight to find it. I'm just not good with searches. They said it was suppose to be really good for larger or full figured women and they said when you wear it you don't move at all. Of course I imagine if Oprah was wearing it, it probably cost a pretty penny.
Welcome to our group Vanessa! :hug: I hope your sports bra is great!
Eldubu, I know you can reach your goals! Good luck! :D
How is everyone? Things are going okay for me, but I need some new lunch ideas! I'm getting reaaaally tired of soup. Anyone have any ideas?
kmccann 01-26-2006 06:32 PM
I usually eat lean cuisines for lunch or a pack of reduced fat peanut butter crackers. Another idea would be a lean ham sandwich or a salad with FF dressing.
I don't know about you but it is hard to think of healthy foods to eat when your brain has been programmed to eat "whatever".
I know this has nothing to do with dieting but does anyone think it is wrong to let an 11 1/2 year old pierce her belly button????? I think I just started WWIII with my mom for letting my daughter do it. The stress mothers have to endure. I think I have bigger battles to pick with her than a ring no one will see unless she wears a swimsuit and that will be a while. Thanks for letting me vent. Hope everyone is doing well.
Katrina
WOW!! I'd be upset too I'm sure. Especially if my DD had been bugging me to get it done and I'd already said not yet. I don't know if that's the case here. In the "big picture" it's not so huge...but still...I'd be upset at my Mom too.
I'm starting to go a little crazy being house bound for going on 2 weeks now. My DD's aren't getting much better. Poor things. At least I get to go out to a scrapbook cropping party on Saturday!!
I am starting the feel the effect of AF's upcoming arrival - early next week. I've always had cravings and moodiness in the week prior. And I tend to gain about 3 pounds in "water weight"? Anyone else do that? Doing good so far though.
Erin - you are beautiful!! I really like haveing a face with your name now! Thanks for sharing. Your little fellow is adorable as well! Are you just doing the BL dvd for your workouts? Are you following the 6 week plan that is included? I prefer going to the gym when my kids are healthy, but really like this BL dvd!!! What I've been doing so far is alternating my WATP 3 mile one day with the Low Intensity Cardio & and Sculpt and Strengthen (I think that's what it's called?) on the next day. I think I'm going to stick with doing it every other day even when I go back to the gym.
BTW - who won the 2 seasons of The Biggest Loser?
Katie - you probably don't want to know what I eat for lunch. Very unconventional. Sometimes yogurt and Kashi GoLean Crunch cereal...sometimes a pita/chicken sandwich...sometimes just odds and ends like a cheese stick, a few crackers, a few almonds, and feew slices of lunch meat...weird!
Loretta - Love your goal list!!! I agree, moving is the key for me too!
Vanessa - our kids are similar ages. My oldest just turned 2 in November and my youngest was born April 11th. My hat is off to you going to school. My DH is in his last year of nursing school. It is HARD. He is a Med/Surg Tech right now. I cannot help you on the boob/bra issues. Unfortunatly not a problem for me.:( Mine stay a B-cup all through pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Catherine - I know what you mean about feeling bad. I haven't "fallen off the wagon" YET, but the other day I had a very low calorie day and decided to eat a big oatmeal raisin cookie. I PHYSICALLY felt sick afterwards. Like it did to you - if tore up my stomach. So we learn!!! Very cool about the Ty picture!!
Well, I hear Livi messing with the dvd player and I need to go resue my BL dvd before she trashes it...
Hi to everyone else!! I'm so happy to be here!
-Nori
Nori71 01-26-2006 10:56 PM
Ok, put in a Elmo movie!!
Sarah - I was meaning to ask you when you started your weight loss "journey"? Also how long do you stay on the Precor? I love using it at the gym too - usually alternate the preset workouts for 30 minutes.
