Down another 0.4 today - 191.8.
I did my CB DVD AGAIN this evening - I have never exercised two nights on the trot before. My stomach muscles killed though - I guess they need a little recovery time. I took Bethany to the beach today as it was a sunny day - but it was COLD! I bought her a bucket and spade as her old one was broken and also a new ball cos her old one was popped. We made a sandcastle and then decided to play with the ball. Well, I threw it to her but she missed it, and then the wind carried it away, down the beach towards the sea! Well, we ran and ran but the wind was just that bit faster and we didn't catch it!! She was absolutely heartbroken but I said I'd get her a new one - they weren't expensive. But I never for a second thought I'd be able to actually run that far or that fast. Probably a few weeks ago I wouldn't have been able to, but I didn't give it a second thought, I just ran. I often (well, occasionally!) wondered what would I do if I had to run away from a madman, me not being very fit and not really having done much real running. But if I can run like that to catch a child's ball, then I'd be OK running away from an axe murderer!!! Oh, my Next 16 jeans that I bought and could barely get on? Well, I wore them ALL DAY today and they were comfortable!!! So now I've got into those, I'll have to buy some 14s and shrink into them for my next clothing goal. I have the most gorgeous pin stripe skirt suit in a 12 I can't wait to get into. Thanks for all the nice comments about the pics. Sorry no personals tonight but congrats to all you losers ;) |
Rosbia- Sound's like you got all your exercise plus some in today!
Meowee- I just got some Weight Watcher scales that are pretty good and they don't need batteries either! Well gang I decided to rest today, cause of my back and pick it up again tomorrow! I feel really funny not working out today! Anyway, I have to get off my Tush and cook supper for my crew!! I will check in before bed!! :grouphug: |
Hi,
Just a quick check in since we are all sick with some bug and I feel like c...! I'll try to do personals tomorrow if I feel up to it. Today was WW weigh in day and I stayed the same, so I'm content with that. Better than a gain in my book. Robsia...You look AWESOME!!!! ~Cheryl  |
Happy Wednesday!
Hi girls! I just finished supper and I'm afraid I over did it. I made chili, yummy chili! Been craving it for a while, so has my little one. I just had to give in! I'm waiting for it to settle before going to meet up with my BL dvd. I guess the good news is I maintained this morning but I can't speak for tomorrow morning! hahaha We'll see, it had quite a few beans in it, which is fibre, which shouldn't stay long! Hopefully! I've been caught up in a whirl wind of house hold chores today. I decided to get at my ironing which I've been putting off for weeks. My husband has a LOT of shirts!! Today I did 30, took me 3 hours! That's all is new with me, not much exciting eh? LOL
Mum, nice to see you so determined! I'm sure you'll see a difference on weigh in day. About what your son said, that's so cute. It's funny how honest kids are, my daughter said to me yesterday as I was doing the dishes, mommy I don't think you are bigger than daddy anymore." hahaha What a laugh! I wish! Paula, my sister had the epidural 3x (3 kids) and she says she stills feels sore from it too. That's why I decided I wasn't going to get it, besides the fact that I'm petrified of needles! I hope your back starts to mend soon! Also, my thoughts will be with you as you take your twin to the doctor. I know how scary it is to see a little one go through some really big obstacles. My brothers boy (2yrs.) had open heart surgery in Nov. to replace a valve (with a plastic one) his had expanded to almost the size of his heart! and doctors still can't say he's outta the woods. He has a problem with his ateries and viens being so soft and stretchy that they just balloon out till eventually they could erupt. It's a sad situation, but we're enjoying every minute we can get with him. He's such a great kid, and so smart. He celebrated his 2nd birthday Jan. 19, we took it as a celebration of life. Fourwinds, nice to see you back in the wagon again. Congrats on the 5lbs! Garnet, you're so welcome for the "advice". You sound like you had a great day yesterday. Beleive me I think house work is just as good as a workout sometimes! It's cardio and strength training all in one! hahaha Cassie, LOL @ whopper diet!! Congrats on the loss! Linda, I agree with everyone else, take the lower # and own it! Barb, Quiznos is a sub/sandwich place. I can get a sandwich for less than 6g fat. Lois, I told you the havic my muscles were in! I warned you! hahaha Glad you're still going to keep BL dvd part of your workout. I did #1 again and it is getting a little easier, even the lunges! Robsia, I wish I had a beach that I could go to. How serene. Just don't get that here in the prairies! I was born in Newfoundland, an island. My childhood house was only steps from the shores. I guess I miss seeing the water and hearing the waves. Congrats on wearing your 16s all day! Well I guess I should get off my arse and get moving! Time to get muscle tortured! But loving every burn, cause that means I'm buring! Later girls, have a great night! ~Tina |
Oh, I am SO tired tonight, but I thought I would pop in and tell you all about my appointment with the Cardiologist today.
She said that I am having a faster heartrate or something like that, which can sometimes indicate hardened arteries, but she does NOT think that's what is going on with me. She thinks that it's hormones! But, to be on the safe side, she is sending me for tests. I have to have an echocardiogram, and a Thallium Treadmill Test. I am really worried about the treadmill test, because I am still nursing my son, and I won't be able to nurse him for 48 hours after I am given the Thallium! That is going to be awful, becaues my son has never had a bottle in his life, and he breastfeeds everytime we wants to sleep.....I am going to have to pump and dump, and pump milk before-hand to get him through 2 days.....and I don't even own a pump.:?: So I am stressed and confused about this now....I just want to get it over with and get GOOD results. I am off to cuddle with my kiddos, night ladies! Sorry so rushed, but it has been SUCH a draining day! |
Cassie- You might try your local Health Dept. I know in MS the health dept. Will bend over backwards to help you breast feed! When my twins were born they gave me a big ugly green one for me to use! You might want to try to get it a couple of days in advance so you start pumping and your kiddo can get use to the bottle!! I am so sorry you are having to go thru this!! I have been praying for you all day!! But, all will be back to normal in a very short while!!
OK gang- :cheer: I got to change my ticker! Another one is gone forever!! Yeah!!! :cheer: |
Wots exercise?
Just a quickie folks....
Tried out my new stepper this morn, HOW unfit am I!:faint: :faint: :faint: I'm ashamed to say even after the warm ups I was knackered! I've decided to set my alarm half hour earlier, so I get time to workout before getting ready for work. The rest of the house are still in bed then, so I can look daft with no one seeing!! :lifter: So now I'm of for shower and prep my lunch. Have a good day all!! P.S. Thoughts were with you yesterday Cassie, let us know how you get on with finding a solution. Also Robsia, Did you have a heatwave up there??? It's been freezing down here on the southcoast,(my local beach is about 2mile away) you're a braver girl than me!!!! Tina, ta for the message, not far away from me then!!! hAVE A GOOD DAY |
barb i wos thinkin the same thing readin bout robsia on the beach, i can manage the park in this cold but the beach is just freezing with the wind. saying that tho i know sum of these guys are in much colder places than we are so i shouldnt moan.
cassie get pumpin that milk so uv got plenty for that 48hrs, hope ur son does ok with the bottle and good luck wiv ur cardio tests. mama4dmkd another one bites the dust u go girl!!! and thanks for the link it worked fine this time, havnt had time to have a proper look yet but site looks great. tina, chilli aint too bad theres a heck of a lot worse u couldve overdone on! anyways the rate ur losing u need the extra calories- we dont want u wastin away on us! i hear ya bout the epidurals, would hav been terrified of havin a needle in my back ouch! gas and air for me! (not that it worked lol) cheryl anything thats not a gain is great- just put it down to losing sum fat and gaining sum muscle. right gang only meant to read posts not reply im running late already, catch y'all laters big hugs to everyone and keep up the good work!! XXX |
No personals tonight, Im beat.
I hope all goes well with everyone's health problems. I too had an epidural for an emergency C section down the middle. Later had a bikini cut for my hysterectomy so I dont even want to look at my abdomen what with stretch marks and all. Oh and probably one of the world's deepest belly buttons. Sorry to hear about the breast feeding problem, I agree you should express now and get the baby used to the bottle while you are still available so he/she can learn. My dad is a Shriner and we donate to the hospitals every year. I take toys to the Crippled Children's Hospital when I have the money. Their hospitals are supposed to be really excellent! I am sure your twin will come thru like a champ. I had a lovely evening at my son's house, he grilled chicken breasts and asparagus and we ate on the patio. Then we went inside and played yatzee and scrabble, and poker. I think he and his wife got a bit dissappointed when I did not let them bluff me out some times. ha ha ha This old cat knows a little bit about the world after all...ha ha, really, I think they were happy to have some company and a third player. They play games all the time, the good kind...ha ha Anyway, I am good tired so I will sign off now. But I want to say to Cheryl that I hope you feel much better very soon. I know how difficult it can be to get over the crud if you have what I had! Take care of yourself and drink that water! Take care everyone. I am so glad you all are here! |
Tina, 3 hours of ironing burns 574 calories - WTG!!!
I started to love housework once I realised how many more cals it burns. And the best thing about ironing is that you can burn cals while watching TV! No, it has been cold here also but Beth is off school for half term this week and as it has been sunny she was begging me to go to the beach (we live about 5 mins walk!). So we did, but it was definitely a wrap up warm day. Down another 1.3 this morning - wahoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 190.5!! |
robsia im also 5mins from the beach (brighton) sure is funny weather snowy and sunny here today :dizzy:
me and ironing dont mix i dont care how many calories it burns that aint sumthin im ever gonna enjoy doin! garnet glad u had a nice evening wiv ur boy, we'r glad that ur here too :) |
Oh to be in England now that Spring is there . . .
Actually, I'm a little glad to hear it is still cold in the UK . . . I was beginning to worry about our weather getting even stranger than I already thought it was. Hey, at least you guys still get Spring (eventually). North America (at least the parts that get Winter) seem to go from cold to hot overnight with never a glance at warm (most years, anyway). Good morning to everyone. Yes we have snow on the ground again. Actually it looks very pretty because it is heavy, wet snow that clings to all the tree branches like a little overcoat. If the sun would just put in an appearance, it would be a perfect, sparkly, winter day. Not much else going on around here. Congratulations to everyone who has had another loss. I'm sure I'll be among you again soon. Have a great day, gang. :carrot: |
Happy Thursday!
Good mornig sunshines! The good news, I've still maintained! Even after all that chili. I've estimated it to be about 3 cups that I ate, I mean it was three scoops with a big spoon, and my chili is pretty thick so it can be a heaping spoonful. I felt awful! I was so long with that "too stuffed" feeling. Haven't had that in a long while! What a reminder to not overdo it anymore. I gotta get my girl off to preschool so I gonna try to make this fast.
Cassie, I don't envy you at all. My mom had a stress test a couple of years ago, and the doctor definitely didn't care if she was winded. They kept pushing her and pushing her. Hopefully you have an understanding doctor! I hope everything turns out to be in check for you. I know it's going to be tough for those couple of days, my thoughts will be with you and your son. He'll have his own stress test not having a boob to rely on! But like Paula said, the health clinic should be able to help you out with getting a pump. They do that here too. Paula, congrats on the pound loss into oblivion! Good job girl, keep it going! Barb, if we were all in good shape then I guess we wouldn't be here! LOL You'll be stepping away in no time! It takes time to get used to things our bodies haven't known that it can do or haven't done for a while. :) Mum, I feel like it's not going fast enough! LOL Wouldn't I love to wake up skinny!! Wouldn't we all?!! But your right, maybe my body could use an influx of calories just to through it off. Garnet, so nice to see you had a great day with your son. Here's hoping for another good day today! Robsia, boy, 574 calories! No wonder the chili didn't have any effect! LOL Thanks for sharing that, you're a great cheerleader! Congrats on the loss! I'll have to get my butt going, you're definitely catching up! hehehe (kidding) Linda, we're waking up to a fresh batch of snow too. No matter how pretty it may look I'm still ready for it to go!! Hope you have a great day! Well girls, I gotta jet! Talk later! ~Tina |
evening all....
Barb, hey it was just the first time on the stepper, I'm sure after a few more tries, it will get easier. I have an eliptical machine in my basement... I really need to try and put it to use. I bought the darn thing more then 3 yrs. ago and I think I used it twice. :( I'm with you I'll have to get into ironing myself if it burns cals like that! :D Tina, so glad to hear the chili didn't add any gain and I'm sure it was good! :hun: ...maybe it was offset by all that ironing! I'm still maintaining as well... there has been no movement on the scale in the past three days. I have been keeping my cals under my limit. The way my muscles have been feeling, I'm going to chalk it up as muscle gain.... yeah, that's it! :D ...instead of looking at it as not losing! Robsia, sounds like you had a wonderful day at the beach, and got some added exercise too! :carrot: ...congrats on another loss... you'll be at goal before you know it at the rate you're going :cheer: garnet, so glad you had an enjoyable evening at your son's. My mom has always loved playing yahtzee, since I was a kid... she's ruthless too! ha ha! Cassie, I hope the echo and stress test go well. I sure it's going to be an adjustment for your son but I think Paula's advice was good... try to get him used to the bottle beforehand. :goodluck: AndrewsMum, awww... how cute that your son said that... maybe he does see a difference! I've had a good day. The temps today were near 50, but it's suppose to snow again tomorrow. I was able to get in another workout last night... so I did 3 miles yesterday :carrot: This morning I had an appt. that I had nearly forgotten about so I was rushing to get out of the house and did not do my exercise this morning. Hope everyone has had a good day... I'm off to get my workout in :workout: :grouphug: |
Thanks for all your support ladies, it really means a lot to me!
Well, tomorrow is my "official" weigh in day! I am feeling optimistic, the weight is still dropping off rather quickly. I wonder how much longer that will last, though. I wish they would hurry and clear me for exercise so I could do even better at this....soon, though, I hope! |
