The only bridge that I can think of that would be large enough for that kind of pile up, would be the Mackinaw bridge which is up North from where I am. The other one that comes to mind is the Ambassador bridge to Canada. It may have been on the other side of the state. I live in S.E. Michigan, about 60 miles north of Detroit . I checked the local news websites and there is nothing there :dizzy:

If I had a fancy scale that worked (my unfancy one doesnt anymore) I would not eat and wait until I had pooed and all and then weigh everyday at that time, whenever it happens to occur. I am convinced that part of my scale problem at the gym is my nightly habit. If my tennis shoes weigh over a pound (I weighed them) then surely that can cause a gain of a pound or less. Dont you think? I have given this situation a lot of thought and I am sure that it does. But what to do about it? since I had to give up bran flakes for South Beach, my colon and I are not on speaking terms

Just to let you know, we didn't get nearly as much snow in Nova Scotia as they got in either New York or Boston. It sounds like the blizzard ran out of steam before it made it this far north. We only got about 6 to 8 inches. The Alantic states really got clobbered. Good to hear about your Tae Bo experiences, girls. Hang in there. I don't think they were designed for anyone who isn't already somewhat in shape. You'll get there . . . just be patient. Personally, I don't think it is something I want to try, right now. You gave me a chuckle with your bran flakes story. Personally, I like bran flakes. Unfortunately, I really need my All-Bran (which I don't particularly like . . . its sort of like eating sawdust.) Hey gals! I gotta say I have tried to go back in the past and reply to almost every single posts since I last posted. But yowsers! You all have been busy!
I'm getting ready to settle in my down mode and watch the Bachelor. I'm down only a pound this week, that's makes 20.5lbs. since Jan. 2 I took yesterday off from excercising and got back at it tonight. I hope to have a more sucessful week this week. I want to see some numbers falling off. This is getting to be so slow! I love the pictures! It's getting to be a real album in here! All your kids are so special and sweet. I'll have to give it a try too. Show off my little girl. (not saying that I'll get it to work! lol) And guess what?!! I ordered the Biggest Loser Workout dvd online!! Yay! With help over the phone from my brother. It suppose to get here by next thursday. I'm so looking forward to it. Well I guess that's it. I think someone found a wind up handle on my little girl. She is absolutely into and on everything and everyone tonight! I got to settle her down somehow. I think she's too excited about bringing her Valentines to preschool tomorrow. We made treat bags to go with, she thinks its the greatest thing in the world! LOL I'll have to do a better job keeping with you all! Have a good night! ~Tina |

Weighed again this morning at 227.6 Basically maintained after being all over the place on the scale through the week. I'll take it...with the week I had I was lucky it wasn't a gain! Did my t-tapp this morning and went for a 30 minute brisk walk after dinner. I'm hoping for a good loss this week and know I have to work for it! We have been busy with valentine's stuff too- I have 2 kids in school. Even made frosted sugar cookies and only snitched a little dough and frosting! lol Hope everyone has a great night! :wave: |

I actually got a dozen red roses today from my SO. We've been together six years and he's never given me a dozen red roses before!! Usually I get chocs and alcohol, but they're on the forbidden list so i guess he decided to splurge on the flowers instead! |

Don't know if I reached my goal, but I doubt it. Tomorrow is my weigh-in day, so will let you know before I set a new goal for St Patricks day. I'm still happy even if it's an 8 to 9 pound loss, that's still good. Sorry I didn't check in yesterday, I pretty much slept away the day till I had to take my foster daughter into town for an appointment. I'm just really tired for some reason, and feel about the same today. HAPPY VALENTINES DAY
Morning Ladies ... sorry I haven't been around the last few days - things have been busy and I've been too pooped at night! I have A LOT of reading to do to get caught up - the one thing I did get a chance to look at were the pics ... which I LOVED! So thanks to everyone for sharing them and KEEP 'EM COMING - I for one really enjoy looking at pics! :) A BIG :welcome3: to all the newbies! ... This is a WONDERFUL group, you're going to love it here! Congrats to everyone for your losses this week :carrot: :cheer: :carrot: :cheer: I lost 4 lbs this week, but unfortunately 2 were 're-losses' which come from outta no where! I'm not sure what I had done to gain them b/c I've stayed on plan - guess I should just be glad they're gone 'again'! oh and btw - I got a new treadmill :woops: and some new (different sizes) hand weights :workout: this weekend. The treadmill is by far much nicer than our old one - It's a 'My Tracker - Step Counter', it has all kinds of neat little things on it - Yesterday I completed a 30:13 min. walk program @ 3.0 mph that included some incline walking (upto 5.0 incline), here were my results : 165 cals burned, 3103 steps & 1.541 miles ... I was pretty happy with that b/c 6 mths ago there would have been no way that my knee would have let me do that at that pace! So ... YaY - I was excited! Ok, I need to get caught up on some reading ... I'll be back later to do some personals ... again WOOHOO to all you LOSERS - you're doing AWESOME! |

Hi All! I have requested from my DH that he not get me anyting for :val1: V-day !:val1: I told him I wanted to save allll my holiday's up! Because on my Birthday (November 9th) I am going to buy all new clothes to fit my new body! If I haven't lost to my goal by then I will just buy a whole truck load of chocolate!!! :rofl: No I really am going to meet my goals :crossed: I just have to be :strong: and do what needs to be done!
My youngest son has dr appointment today! That means I have to leave the house and I have been doing so good! I don't see how you'll that work lose even an ounce! I just have no willpower outside of this house! Anyway, I have to go get twins bathed and ready to go! Happy Valentine's Day! I too am praying for no chocolate, LOL! But I don't think I have to worry about that since we are so broke, but we are going to file our taxes tonight (fun, huh?) and hopefully get our refund check on the way!
Well, I don't think I told you girls, but last week I went to the doctor to talk to her about a weight loss program for me since I am breastfeeding, and I happened to mention to her that I sometimes have heart palpitations. But they have been happning more and more lately. Well, she had me get an EKG which came out okay, but she also had me wear something called a Haltor Monitor. The results of that came back yesterday, and they were abnormal. So she is sending me to a cardiologist. I go on the 22nd of this month, and I am SO scared. I am only 22 years old, I shouldn't be having heart issues! I do have really bad anxiety though, so I wonder if that might be a cause of the heart palpitations. Anyways, if you are praying women, could you say a small one for me please? Okay, just had to get that out. Now, on to weight loss! Does anyone have the Walk Away The Pounds videos? If I am cleared to exercise (hopfullly the doc will okay that on the 22nd) I am thinking about WATP...anyone know about it? I am OUT OF SHAPE...think I could keep up? |

It isn't the chocolate . . . it's the fat and sugar. Let's not blame the poor little chocolate fairy :nono: . I hope you're all having a great day! Emily, I'm with ya girl! Maintaining is so much better than gaining, especially after a few cheats. The only thing, if I have one cheat I think for sure that's a pound gained! LOL Let's hope for a better week this time around. Good job keeping up that excercise. AndrewsMum, my husband has worked every valentines day since we've been together. So don't worry, even some of us hitched ones are still spending it without a loved one! Robsia, enjoy your flowers! One of these days I would like to go fast enough to do 2 miles in 1/2hr. Now that would be ideal! Paula, stay strong today! Even if you do slip, we couldn't beat you up about it. We're only human trying to do a healthy thing in this world of unhealthy temptations. Cassie, I pray everything comes out alright with your heart monitoring. Try not to stress out too much (yeah, easier said than done huh!) The more you dwell on it the more stress on your heart. Just think you are doing something to get your heart healthier now. The good has to outweigh the bad! Linda, I just had a Special K bar with chocolate drizzel on it. I could never give up chocolate!
