|
Hya all!
Hi everyone:wave:
Like Cassie I've been away a few days this week. My mum's little cat had to go to the Vets for his 'Unkindest cut' op and she hates taking him so the rotter that I am, I offered!!!:fr: To catch up I weighed in monday and have also lost 4lbs this week, bringing my total to 15lb in 2wks...HOORAY!!!!:carrot: I haven't eaten soooo much on a diet, and this looks like it could be the one for me. I have set myself small goals along the way but I would like to hit target before May 7th 2008 as that will be my hubbie's and mine 25th Wedding Annniversary and we are planning to renew our vows at Stonehenge of all places!!!! I hope you are all keeping well, especially in colder climbs, ie US, poor you, the weather is certainly cold, even Florida I understand! Would you believe this time last year we were holidaying in Orlando and our Valentine's treat was a Champagne balloon flight.:beach: I'm glad it wasn't this year, I'm no good with heights anyway and I didn't think we were going to get off the ground what with me in the basket!!!:wl: !If you care to check out my profile pics, that's me and my two kids after the flight, I was still getting over it all, but the champers certainly helped!!! Well, must away, I've just got home from work and as a surprise my darling hubby is cooking, a very rare occurance, but I'm grateful!:hun: Take care all, will report in Monday with this weeks loss( I hope) Barb xx |
Hello everybody . . . I thought I was never going to see any of you again. The wind and ice storms seem to have knocked out my internet and it just came back up. I'm never going to catch up with everything that's been going on so I won't even try. Suffice it to say that everybody seems to be doing fine and dandy even if you are a little cold.
There were several really bad accidents between Ontario and here yesterday because of the ice and wind. I mean 50/60 vehicle pileups with lots of serious injuries and two or three deaths reported. I'm a little concerned that I haven't heard from my on-line buddies in the Eastern half of the country, but hope everyone is warm and well. After the wind died down this morning, the sun came out and it looks a lot warmer than it is, but at least we don't have any new snow yet. They are still telling people to stay off the roads because of black ice that a day of sun couldn't melt. Anyway, I sure this too will pass. At least I'm connected to the world again. See you soon. Hope you all have a great "rest of the weekend". :carrot: |
Barb....WOW!!! 4 pounds is great! You will be at goal in no time the way you are going.
Linda...Still feels like the Artic here!! It's the first time in the 8 years that we have put rolled up rugs in front of our doors to keep the cold blast of air from coming in. It was so cold in our breeze way that I drop a bottle of de-icer and the plastic bottle broke because it was frozen. Now that the rolled up rug is against the door, it's toasty warm in there. :) I just cringe at the thought of all that heat and money going out the door. We use oil, and it's not cheap this year. It's been a lazy Saturday for me. Did a little sewing on my quilt, helped my foster daughter cook dinner and been watching movies I rented for the weekend. Try to check back with you all later. Cheryl |
Hi Cheryl . . . you and I really seem to follow each other around sometimes.
Believe me, I know cold, too. We are a lot worse than we have been but still not as bad as I've seen it the past couple of years. My favourite room is the family room off the kitchen -- I call it the "Sun Room" because it has a lot of windows and it faces mainly south. The outside door tends to leak a little air so I made it a special quilt that completely covers the door in the winter. It works quite well. I heat with electric and it used to be the most expensive thing around but I think oil has outstripped it lately. Hello to everybody else that's out there. We miss you, gang. |
Wow, all this nasty weather is awful, huh? It's just the Wind Chill getting me here in Kansas....we haven't had too much snow this winter.
Had a slow day today! Just basically cleaned house and hung out with my kids. Tomorrow is my shopping day, and with it being so cold, I am not looking forward to it! I did run to the store quickly today to get things for dinner and found a great sale on Healthy Choice meals, so I got a few of those since I have a frozen dinner everyday for lunch. Then I had taco salad for dinner. I had to roughly estimate my calories for dinner, and I think I may have went a bit over...oh, pooh. Tomorrow is a new day, though, and I will do better. I weighed myself (again) this morning, and I was 282! A full 2 pounds less than yesterday...is that even possible? I am not going to update my tickers or anything until Friday, just in case it was a fluke, LOL! But 282 is what I hoped to weigh by the END of next week! I am so glad to be here! This place is so great, and so are you ladies! |
Brrrr!
It is sooooo Cold! Nothing compared to the temps some of you have but we live in MS! It is not suppose to get so cold here! We are use to short sleeves year round! They just call hubby to come in to work! He works for the state and they have all their employee's on high alert! But my hubby got elected to go in! Oh well he has to take off in April to take our little girl to the Shriner's Hospital! They don't get paid when they are called in they get Comp time don't That just stink!
Cassie- I think you should take the lower weight! The way I see it is that maybe yesterday you had just eaten or you had extra water weight? Go ahead and take the lower weight then when your regular weigh-in day rolls around and it is what it was yesterday you can move it back! Welcome back for you'll who have been gone! We do miss you'll when your gone! Britchik- You have a nice lookin family! Your alot braver than me I DON'T do heights YIKES! You were only 2 states away from me! Well I am gonna be up for the night! I just got back from my aunts house Dennie wouldn't quit screaming! So she had to come home! I tried to tell them that she would just scream when she got home anyway! CP is very hard on babies(andy their parents)! The Dr. Said if she is have a screaming fit and you have done everything to soothe her there is nothing else you can do! They said to put them in the bed and just check on them often(easy for them to say)! I just feel like crying myself when she does this! I will check back later! :grouphug: |
Good Saturday!
Hello ladies! It has been a long day for me. I've been out and about all day today. I managed to drop another pound this morning! Making a total of 23lbs! I was really excited things were looking up. I was thinking only another 6lbs. and I'll be in the 30's!! That feels great when considering 7 weeks ago I was one pound away from the 70's! I went swimming tonight with my daughter. I understand it isn't exactly lane swimming but I'm hoping that I'll count for something. As I didn't get a chance to workout with Bob tonight. But I did do a lot of walking today also, which I am taking into consideration! And I've only eaten out once since the weekend came in. That is really fantastic for me. It's usually every meal. My current mood: "I feel good..dun na nun a nun...I fEEeeEElL good!..dun na nun a nun!
Robsia, your picture looks great! You can really see a loss, you look so good! Congrats on the loss aswell. You're really kicking butt! Lois, I managed to stay a little sane looking lastnight doing my sculpting part of the workout. Turns out there wasn't a lot to do with lunges. Otherwise if someone were to sneak up on me while trying to do some maneuvours, I think they'd run and start CPR!! Hope you're having a good weekend thus far. Cassie, congrats on the loss! You're doing so well. And I have to give a round of applause for the no smoking for four days. I have watched so many of my family members struggle with quitting smoking. The key word would be TRy! That in itself is a immense struggle, let alone weightloss. Keep it going girl! garnetfairy, I hope you start to feel better. Valentines can be tough on singles but it's nothing to beat yourself up over. Especially not to binge on peanut butter and chocolate. Like I said, I've been married 5 yrs. and I have never spent Vday with him. I don't get dinners, flowers or cards. He has worked hard through them all. It's one day out of the year, just like any other day. That's how I see it anyways. You are doing so well, keep it going! cheryl, the chicken tacos were a great substitute. I would definetly do it again. Paula, a loss would be great every week. But we just have to accept that it isn't going to happen sometimes. Just keep in mind with persistance, it WILL come off eventually! Hang in there girl! Barb, congrats on the four pounds! That's really wonderful. You are doing an awesome job. Keep it up! Linda, stay warm and dry!! Well girls, it's 10 to 12, I am ready to pass out! Have a great one! See you later gators! ~Tina |

Barb - congrats in the 4 lbs this week - that's great!!! Hope you enjoyed dh's dinner!!
meowee - glad you're back!! Cassie - congrats on the 2 lbs!!! I'd definitely add it. Weight lost is weight lost, but weight put back on is only water weight so long as you stick to your diet!! Tina, congrats on the extra pound - you're doing fab but I'm catching up with you . . . Well, I lost another half pound this morning bringing my total for the week to 4 lb!!!!! That's more than I've lost in any week except the very first so far!!! So that's 20 lbs altogether!! Oh yeah!!! Skinny chic - here I come!! I'm in my size 16 skinny jeans (not fat jeans) and they look great - I'll get my dad to take a pic when he comes today! Unfortunately top half is not yet in a 16 - damn these boobs! |
Good Morning to all . . .
Wow is it ever cold this morning. Walked down the driveway at 7 am to pick up this week's shopping flyers and thought I would freeze solid in about 2 minutes. The sun is trying to come out now and that should help a little. Congratulations to everybody on your SVs and NSVs. Some of you (Tina, Robsia) are getting so slim we'll soon need a magnifying glass just to find you . . . absolutely great going girls. I also want to say a huge congratulations to New Orleans. I just heard on the news last night that they are getting ready for Mardi Gras. That is the kind of spirit in the face of overwhelming adversity that makes this world such a wonderful place. All of us can learn a lesson here. No matter how bad things may seem . . . tomorrow is another day . . . and one we can welcome with open hearts. Go, team, go. Have a great day, folks. We'll see you soon. |
Just Checkin' in!
Hi Chicks!
I was just checkin' in Robsia- wow I hope the wind doesn't blow to hard you might blow away! Congratulations! Britchick- Thank you for the flowers they are very pretty! Meowee- I wish they were rebuilding Mississippi like they are New Orleans! My aunt just went to the coast of MS, It is still total destruction down there! I live in central MS we had limbs down and our lights were out for a month! But it wiped out most of the coast! Tina- Congrats to you too! Wow! You'll are doing so good! I must not be doing something right! Ok well I will talk to you'll later! :grouphug: |
Oh Mama, I'm so sorry to hear that. For some reason we tend to hear a lot more about New Orleans and the horrors in that section of Louisianna than we hear about Mississippi. I really hope Mississippi and the hard hit sections of Texas are going to get their share of rebuilding funds and attention too.

Hi Ladies...
I hope everyone has had a great weekend! I've been trying to get on here, but with the weather being so frigid, the kid stayed in and have been hogging my pc. :comp: It's hard keeping up if you don't check in everyday! :fr: Tina, congrats on the loss! :cheer: You are doing so great! It's amazing how much a difference a few weeks can make. I was out at WalMart on Sat. and my daughter spotted the BL video, well I could not pass it up and I thought $10 was a good price. I'm still reviewing it and will give it a try soon.... then we can laugh at each other! :workout: Barb, good to see you back and thanks for the flowers. Robsia, you are awesome! :carrot: That's a big loss for the week... I know you must be so excited. :dancer: I'm excited for you. That's great motivation for us all! Linda, I always look forward to your post. You are always a ray of sunshine... I love your spirit! Well today was weigh in day for me... I'm down another 2lbs. :goodscale: Horray for me, I finally met my 1st mini goal. :carrot: :carrot: :carrot: This is a huge victory for me, a milestone. I have not been below 250 in about eight years! I have tried a couple of times before but could never break 250... that's why I chose 249 as my 1st mini goal. Even though I know I'm putting in the work... this time it doesn't seem as hard as before... I know it's because I've decided to go easy on myself this time and not get down when I have slip ups (I've had a few). I'm only human. This attitude has made it easier for me to get right back on track instead of going hog wild. :ink: :hun: :ink: Being here with all of you keeps me going too! I am now going to set my mini goals in 10 lb increments. Hope everyone else is doing great! Holla, at y'all later. :grouphug: |
Great job Lois!
