Good Morning to everybody . . .

Congratulations to everyone who has had either an SV or a NSV over the past couple of days. . . . and for those of us who haven't . . . hang in there, our time will come  .

All your talk about AF reminds me that there is definitely one good thing about getting to my age :D. I certainly don't miss that TOM.

Well, gang, I'm going to close for now. Don't feel much like talking this morning. I burned the roof of my mouth and bit my tongue yesterday. :dizzy: Definitely one way to curb your overeating compulsions -- but I don't recommend it.

See you later. Have a good day. :carrot:

Robsia 02-03-2006 09:32 AM

Oh, I forgot - I got a comment today! My first one from someone who didn't know I was dieting.

It wasn't exactly a comment about losing weight but I was told by one of my colleagues that I looked pretty today - so that was nice.

ladylane06 02-03-2006 08:43 PM

Hey Ladies,

A quick check in... hope everyone has had a good day. My day has been okay, I won't complain too much because it could have been worse :(

Paula & Robsia
, congrats on the weight loss :cheer: :cheer: I see how thrilled you both are and I share your excitement! Keep it up girls!

Linda, ouch! ...hope it feels better soon

Tina, whoohooo on your NSV :carrot: It's a huge incentive to know you can now buy a smaller size. I wish us all many more victories

Emily, congrats on your will power and your determination to get in your workout. :cheer:

I had another good workout w/ the 2 mile WATP got through it without modifying :dancer: My eating could have been better... I ate 1420 cals. (not the best calories) and ended with a 1695 deficit. I went shopping today, not something I do everyday so I logged it as a walking activity.

Catch you all later,
:grouphug:

Fridays happenings

Greetings fellow chickies...how is everyone doing this fine day......

I chose not to weigh in today since switching to Fridays as I jsut weighed in on MOnday.......so I'll wait till next Friday the 10th.

We are suppose to get slammed with a snow storm.....so I'll be on my gazelle tomorrow instead of going for a walk in the mall or outside!

Hope you all have a wonderful and great weekend!

hugs,:grouphug:

Well, I guess we're back on so welcome back!! I have lost 1.5 pounds since Friday now that TOM is over. I can live with that!

I have made a start on my Paddy's Day goal and am 1.5 pounds into my 12. And, after successfully getting into my old size 16 jeans I had a little fashion show yesterday and tried on some other stuff and two size 16 skirts and a dress all fit so I am over the moon!!!

meowee 02-05-2006 07:58 AM

Welcome back to all of us. It certainly was a quiet day yesterday.

Nova Scotia is back to mild weather again and most of our snow has melted away. Wow, this strange winter just keeps getting stranger.

Don't worry, Lori, if your snowstorm is anything like ours, it will soon be gone again.

Great going with the exercise, Lois. Of course, shopping counts. Maybe a little slower than some other forms, but walking just the same.

Wow, Robsia, you are winning, girl. Both NSV's and SV's. Keep it up.

So far my day is a good strong mediocre and holding. Hope all of you have a really great weekend. We'll see you soon. :carrot:

Hi Gals,
well its been a week since i checked in, gosh u lot hav been busy, you're all losing so much well done everyone.

well despite last sundays disappoinment at the scales not moving i though wen weighed in on monday (official weigh in day) i wos hopin for maybe a pound off or at worse still the same, but nope i wos up 1lb!!! to say i was not happy would be an understatement, i wos being good wiv cals i wos excercising i dunno how i put a pound on last week:?:
anyway wos so de-motivated that i went totally off program so hav eaten junk and not excercised for a week. feel tired and bloated and sluggish and i want my healthy feelings back. think i will probably hav gained 2-3 pounds but gonna wait till tomorow morning to weigh in cos monday morn wos official weigh in before so gonna keep to the same. but wen i see a rise in the scale tomorow i am not going to get discouraged i will remember how crap i am feeling now and i will remember how good it was starting to feel that i wos losing weight.
feel like iv let u all down wiv gaining and going off program but im getting back on track. i said wen i started this that this time round i wos in it for the long haul, now iv had a major slip up but i can fix it. gonna start setting myself sum smaller short term goals to have sumthing to look forward to and to see myself getting closer to my goals. will still have an ultimate weight loss goal but it seems such a long way off that need sumthing a bit closer to aim for. its my birthday march 23rd gonna work out how much id like to lose by then and make another tracker.
well its nearly midnight here so im gonna sign off and get to bed, and tomorow morning im gonna be up and on that treadmill and working hard to lose weight. i know i can do this i just need to be strong:)

Well I had half a small jar of chuncky honey roast peanut butter yesterday night. I threw the rest of the container away this morning. To heck with peanut butter. I have no control when i eat it so I just cant eat it anymore until I reach goal and then it is a maybe thing.

My son was home this weekend but he never came over. He and his wife live next door. I guess that I wont be able to expect to see him every time he is home anymore...they are getting into their life together which is what they need to do. But I still missed getting to see him. They have moved his discharge date back to the 13th (medical discharge from Army). After that I guess I will get to seem him more. I hope so anyway.

Congratulations to all who have lost this week!! Way to go!!

Andrewsmum - just dont give up on yourself. You will do better. You already have by stopping the binge and posting here. It will be alright but it is up to you to be strong. You have a great support system here. Use it.

Welcom to Melody - sounds like you are well on your way already!

I am not looking forward to weighing this week. But I will since I must. I hope I feel well enough to do a work out too while I am there. Still battling my respiratory infections. But not coughing nearly as much as I was, so that is good.

I sure am glad the site is back up...I have grown dependent on it and reading everyone's posts. So yesterday I went out and spent a fortune (for me) on diet and health books. I got both of Leslie Sansones' books and a new DVD set of WATP. This set works with small hand weights so it is different from the other ones I own. I will be happy when I can work up to that! Shoot, Ill be happy to go past a mile and a cool-down, so far 30 minutes is the most I have done except for the toning cd where I did 35 minutes because of extra crunches and push ups.

Anyway, Way To Go everybody...if you fell, jump back on, if you lost hurray, if you stayed the same, give it a bit more time and water and check your salt.

Mostly just Hi everybody, Glad you are here

AndrewsMum 02-06-2006 06:53 AM

Good Morning, all . . .

The sun is shining (and the snow is still melting) here in Nova Scotia as in other places. But, I'm sure it won't be long before we get more snow, or more rain. You never can tell, these days

Thanks, Paula, for thinking of us. I'm sure we'd all love to be on Oprah with you. Who knows, someday, we may all be famous.

Wow, great job of giving yourself a pep talk, AndrewsMum. I think you're absolutely right about setting some smaller, shorter term goals. Sometimes the "big picture' can be veery intimidating.

A big, welcoming  for you, Melody. You are off to a great start. Keep up the good work, girl.

Peanut butter . . . oh, drool, drool. Garnet, I so love peanut butter. I can't keep it in the house. I'd be rich if I still had the money from every jar of peanut butter, I've had to throw out. Personally, I prefer the extra creamy . . . oh drool, drool. Actually, there is nothing wrong with a little peanut butter (although it is rather calorie dense). However, for me it is never "a little" peanut butter; not to mention the toast that goes underneath it.

Well, time to go. Have a great day, everybody, we'll see you soon. I've got to go do something constructive to get my mind off that peanut butter . . . oh, drool, drool. :tape:

Saturday Morning Post

Good morning ladies, I hope you're all having a great weekend so far! I'm about to step on the treadmill, but I wanted to check in with you all. I made a goal on monday to try hard to lose 4lbs this week cuz last week lost was only 1 1/2lbs. Considering the weeks before I thought it was reasonable. Well it's saturday morning and I've lost another 1 1/2lbs this week. I'll give till monday morning seeing that I set the goal monday evening. BTW - I said I was going to wait to wear my size 18's out till I lost a few more pounds, but I wore them yesterday. Mom said I looked great in them, and they were comfortable!

Paula, congratulations on beating your goal! It's very motivating feeding off of your excitment! way to go!

Robsia, YAYYY! I'm so happy for you! You stuck to your guns and won! Enjoy this victory.

Linda, sorry to hear about your tongue. Hope your back to tasting and talking soon!

Lois, have a day your really proud of today!

Lori, we're suppose to be slammed today here too. I can't hardly believe it has been sunshine these past two days to a blizzard today! Have a wonderful walk wherever it may be!

Well I'm off to walk! Have a great day ladies!

~Tina

hahaha, I just wrote everything in notepad getting ready to post and it says I can't till late saturday or sunday, so I'll save it and post this when I can.
