I completed Day 6 and today is my *Pause* day....I'm still boiling over the fact that the car dealership charged me $59.00 to replace 3 tail-lights and an upper column brake-light. Oh the STUPIDITY of me to take it there....(I didn't want to ask my neighbor for help again as he does everything...but I much rather would have given HIM the labor costs than the dumbass at the dealership who made me wait for an hour).....grrrrr....I hope i use lots of calories fuming about this! Just THINK how many bottles of wine I could have bought?

Default *sigh*

Well since work has picked up a bit and I;ve been slacking on updating with you guys, this challenge is gonna be pretty simple:

1. Post EVERYDAY (No exceptions)
2. Walk ATLEAST 5000 steps a day (bought myself a pedometer so wanna put it to good use. HOPEFULLY work up to the good ol' 10,000 i think that they say is good)

So starting tomorrow since I JUST came up with it....

Wink still between challenges.....

Well, I'm still in between challenges. Just taking it easy for a few days and enjoying the feeling of FREEDOM!!! There are too many posts to go back over now, so I'm just picking up with the couple since my last postings. This place seems to fall apart though rather quickly without some structure....hmmm....come on, guys, pick it up! I can't always be here for ya!

marble -- Okay, taking a pause day. Congrats on Day 6 knocked into donedom! Hmm, I guess I'm used to Tokyo prices, because 59 bucks doesn't sound like much at all for four lights fixed! But it must be there for you to get so upset...and no, calories won't be spent fuming unfortunately...in fact, you'll probably cause all sorts of stress hormones to march to the front and protect your precious fat stores! Watch out!! Calm, deep breaths....you got the lights fixed...that's what's important...I do take it they were broken.....hang in there!

Silly -- Glad to see you back and preparing to set out on a new challenge frontier! 5,000 steps is a good start! Good luck!

1st of all I’m so embarrassed for not keeping up to date. I’ve had so many things going on! We went out of town this weekend just to relax and bum around. Only problem was I forgot my Vitamins! I was so upset my husband offered to drive back home. (2hr drive) I got myself together decided to do everything else and start again. It wasn’t the least bit easy pushing this aside but we really needed time alone in a stress free place. So ladies here I sit ready to start again! But it is well worth it I had the best time! So Day 1 success!! ( Same challenge)

Now I’m going to try and play catch up!
SHAD CARLA RED Chaps
Congratulations!! You guys really inspire me!

Chaps good for you not going to lunch with those snobs! Personally I think it says a lot about a person not wanting to belong to that kind of group!

Curly – Your dog is a cutie and sitting so nicely for the picture.

carla49 – Glad to hear the Gazelle is up and running.

Red face thinking of starting tomorrow...

Hi, all. Not much action around here. Sounds like a lot of people are still hovering around in between challenges. I am as well. I think I may start off on a new one tomorrow. It's time...well, past it....I sure would like a huge plate of spaghetti though, with lots of cheese....oh, well, I can do that on a pause day...

friends -- Glad to hear you got your Gazelle too. Sounds like a great bargain...if everything is in working order. I think the Elite is an expensive model. Are you on a challenge now or just starting? I think I missed it....it was about exercise, wasn't it?

mez -- Really! There's no reason to be "embarrassed" about not posting. I'm sure you've had your reasons. Wow, so upset your husband was going to drive 2 hours for some vitamins?!?! I hope you aren't throwing little tantrums there now. I hope you enjoyed your time off. And congrats on the first day down! What is your challenge again?!?! Tell this forgetful one here! Thanks for the congratulations, too!

Default Between challenges here

Hey all. After going for 22 days without chocolate, I gave in and had some. And was not so great. I ended up eating some brand that was a gift, and it was not very flavorful, and I thought, man, I could have gone for longer, and wasted it on this. Ah, well. I still finished the challenge.

I'm going to take a couple of days off because my dad and his wife are here. It's their first time in New York, so I'm definitely baby sitting them, whether they need it or not. We are going to hit some of my favorite restaurants, too, so I think a new challenge can wait for a couple of days. I'll try to come up with something really good and maybe hard.

I'll check in each day, though. There does seem to be a lull in energy on here. I'm definitely part of it, too. Perhaps it has suddenly dawned on us that the summer is really over, and now we're all facing the end of the year, I don't know. Let's keep each other pumped up! GO TEAM!!

Good Morning Everyone,

Red- I'm between challenges right now. I have to watch the video on how to use this thing. I tried it out and it seems kinda awkward. Maybe I was doing something wrong. It's also kind of close quarters for my big bum if ya know what I mean. LOL!

Red face pondering the next frontier...

Hello. Glad to see some more action here. We will prevail!!

friends -- Ok, I'll be waiting to see you back on a challenge. I'll be starting up the new thread very soon. Carla was having the same trouble with the Gazelle being so narrow, or she was worrying about it. I suppose it is rather awkward until you get the hang of it. I don't know though really. I have never used one. Hopefully, someone can help you out. Curly or vanessa, they both seem to be okay with theirs.

Melody -- Glad to see you sticking with your challenge. Day 1 in the bag!! I think an apple before meals is a great way to curb the cravings, especially if your meals are heavy on the starch. Good luck!

Chaps -- Hello there. I wouldn't worry about the chocolate. You completed your challenge. The extra was just extra. I hear you on the stuff not being as good as you thought. I am finding the same thing. It's weird. All the things I thought I loved so much, I'm finding I'm eating only because I can and feel I should like them, but to tell the truth, I really don't like them so much. Perhaps I did learn something after all and my values have changed. I think they did, really. I discovered things that were so much better tasting than chocolate and ice cream and the likes. I found what accomplishment tastes like, the taste of discipline and a sense of my own strength and determination. There's nothing like it!! Well, I'm sure some of those restaurants will be great. Good food is good food and healthy is good. Not like chocolate and such. Have fun and enjoy your father's stay. I hope to have you back with us very soon. Your presence is a strong cohesive force to the thread!

curly -- Great going on Day 14! How did you get so far already?!?!?! Is that possible. Are you sure you're counting right? It looks like you'll have to give gazelling lessons to some of our posters. friends is having a hard time and I'm thinking carla may be too, when she achieves liftoff! Hope you have some great pointers. I am with you on getting the scale to budge this time around. It did a bit but barely and I want to see more results. I am thinking of putting in the dreaded calorie limit to my next challenge.

Red – That huge plate of spaghetti had my mouth watering. That is one my top 5 favorite foods. On the rare occasions I make it. (Pasta has a way of going straight to my bum) I use 100 % wheat noodles. I thought my family wouldn’t like them but they LOVE them. Now that is how they like all their pasta. They like the fact it’s more firm. Have you heard my tantrums all the way in Japan!!??? I hope I haven’t kept you awake. Actually I got really quiet and sat there I must of looked really sad because that is when he said it.
My challenge is
1. Take My Multi Vitamins (6 total if I can handle the Super Omega Complex)
2. Stay in my WW Points
3. Exercise at least 5 minutes a day.
4. Not weight my self until the end of 21 days.
5. Tell myself while looking in the mirror each moring that I CAN do this!! And something good about myself!
The Vitamins I take are – Glucosamine Sulfate 1000 mg, MGM 500 mg, Calcium 600 mg, Super Omega Complex (when I can stomach they again) And Ultra Woman High Potency time released Multi Vitamin, Mineral,Herb for Women. I’m also taking something called Vital Joint it has Micro Lactin it works with the Gluco,Cals, and MGM for my bones and joints. I have bad knees.

Chaps - sounds like you have a nice few days coming up. I’m sure they are going to have a wonderful time!

Well I’m going to make breakfast. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Hmm, i think i need a new challenge. The 1500 calories/day is too challenging Just kidding. But I am back to day one. (yesterday was supposed to be day 1 again, but when I totaled everything up, I was at 1535 - I *had* to have whipped cream on my hot chocolate). Actually, the problem was that I ate fast food for dinner and ate the entire medium fries!

But i was/am in a better mood at the beginning of this week then i was last week. (PMS much?) If I can make it through one weekend w/o going over 1500, then I know i can make it the full 21 days!

Curly, way to go! you are doing great!

It looks like a lot of us are either between challenges or just starting new ones. Come on, we can do it! Have a great day everyone!

I'm back and completed Day #7! OK, so coach-carla hasn't been cracking her whip and I only did 11 mins....but I didn't not do it!. Where is that woman? off riding her Gazelle?

OT for a moment.....has anyone seen the movie on Cable, Harold and Kumar go to White-Castle? In one scene (after smoking weed) they ride off on a Cheeta they find in the woods after Neil Patrick Thomas steals their car to go pick up chicks (strippers) to get This movie is hysterical!

RB.....the price of the light-bulbs was $5.90........the LABOR (to plug in the bulbs?) and 6% sales tax is what drove up the price to ridicules-ness...it's live and learn (not to be stupid with my $$).

Hope everyone is doing well, I'm determined to stick out this challenge and complete it!
