ice -- Here are a couple more links for caffeine content listings. Be sure to note the difference in sizes being measured:

It looks like there would be about 60 mg of caffeine in a 12 oz (340 gm can) of Pepsi Max.

Default Day 13 is done for me

excellent!

Today I did pilates because it's pouring rain outside. I haven't done pilates since about May, but I can *totally* do things way better! The roll up, no prob! I don't think I'll be doing the hundred perfectly any time soon, but I can really feel a difference from the strength training I've been doing! Yippy!

I may have a slight caffine addiction myself. I have at least 3 cups of coffee a day. It would be interesting to see what would happen if I tried to quit for a few days. But... dieting is enough of a challenge. I'll try that some other time....
Day 2 complete even though I had to step at midnight last night. And boy was it hard resisting a drink but I just thought about how much better I would feel about myself today if I didn't and it worked!!
I think I'm going to have a hard time with calories today, but I'll try.....

Default Hi GUYS!

Been doing my net look up . diet soda can be awefully bad if you listen to all the talk! really don't know what to make of it! but i must say yesterday i only had that soda after lunch ! so only 600ml (compared to over 2ltrs) so i am starting my challenge to not drinking more than 600ml a day!
YIPES thats only 100mg of caffeine compared to probably about 400-500 mg!

So DAY 1 here goes again!!!!!!!!! (if i get desperate i will have a coffee!! LOL!) but definetly kicking the soda!

Default Day 16 completed

Food
Exercise
Water
Portions & carbs

All in all not a bad day. Windy as all heck, couldn't work outside on what I wanted to do so spent the day in the kitchen, cooking the DS meals for while I am away. There is enough there for nearly every day and I have only a spag bol left to do.

Exercise today was unreal. I upped the time on the cardio machines to 15 mins. That's 5 machines, 5 minutes for the warm up ones and 15 for the other four. By the time I got to the third, my legs were on fire and I had to lower the resistance level but I got through them. The treadmill at the end was the easiest (which is why I left it till last - I enjoy that one more than most of the others)

Back to work tomorrow for another stint at inserting information into the heads of a civil servant - some more civil than others!!

Have a good weekend for those still in the mode. Oh and Happy Thanksgiving to our Canadian friends. Here you go.

Wink Day 18!

Curly great idea! I have no problem with thrift stores, the only challenge seems to be finding decent stuff in my size in them. Ebay is another good idea though. It seems to me that a lot of plus size women wear their clothes to the rags because we hate to try new clothes on or something, so when they do make it to a thrift store in my size they are pretty beat. I will definitely have to check out ebay and I just found out that one of my favorite stores is having a huge sale this weekend. Fashion Bug, do they have that where you are?? I love that place. What's your nic in the journals?

Thanks again,
Lisa

Default Day 14 done!

Suh-weet, that's two whole weeks without chocolate. I wonder how long I can stretch this out, after the formal challenge is done. If I can make it through my period without eating chocolate, then I will really feel as if I have accomplished something.

Where's Redballoon? I hope she's ok.

Sillyfluff - Excellent for you to start on pushups! I started with one. That's right, on freakin' frackin' pushup. And now I can do 10. Someone else on here is doing that for her challenge...I can't remember who. Anyway, she has also steadily increased. It's sort of amazing what starting small can yield.

Have a great day all!

Red face Day 15 dead and gone!!

I am wrapping up Day 15. God, I can't believe it's only 15....okay, I'll use mez's trick and say..."only 6 more days!!!" Hurrah, hurrah!! Speaking of mez, how are you?!!? I hope you're better.

curly, get out there in that rain! I do it all the time...as someone who hasn't driven in some 25 years, I do a lot of walking and a lot of it's in the rain, like today...you can do it!! If you can, get some raingear from a hiking shop or at least a poncho. It's so much more fun when you don't have to carry an umbrella.

friends, you're almost done!

chaps -- you sweetie! I am here. I am okay. Was really bummed today, really bad, but talked with my bro by IM and even got this big A to the gym! Hurrah. I just did a little weight training but I was happy I got there. You can get through the no chocolate period! I have done it many times. You will want to eat more and I would do that just so you don't bust out later in a big way, but you won't need the chocolate. I would get real sweet fruit, pineapple and grapes and watermelon (may be too late in the season I guess for that though) and you can get through those munchie PMS days. It won't be easy, but when you're prepared for it you can do it. I KNOW you can!

Others, Shad (what mouse?), vanessa, sweet, silly, Apple, marble, (where are you?!?!), icedragon, motivated? anyone else, potential newbies! lurkers! no time to write now. Sorry! Good luck, all.

carla -- Are you OKAY?!?!?!
