Good morning chicklets!
I'm still sick. Ugh. Hopefully I'll get some rest this weekend and will be better by next week. Guess what! I saw Rocker on TV!!! Since I'm sick, I slept in a little bit, so I was home for the Today show. (And don't tell her, but I almost completely forgot about it, and luckily switched over right when they were coming out.) All I did was scan the crowd, and there she was, about 10-15 rows back, I'd say, with a white shirt on, and her hair pulled back in a gold barrette or something like that. Once I saw her the first time (and I freaked out to myself!!), it was easier to spot her. I'm so glad she got to go and he didn't cancel!! Anyway, not much else going on here. Just busy getting stuff done for the dragon boat race next weekend (10/1). There'll be info posted on the website throughout the week...www.philadragonboatfestival.com...for anyone who wants to come down and watch. Again, we're the International Boat of Mystery, we'll have a huge brightly colored feather boa banner at our tent, and we'll have bright yellow t-shirts on, with IBOM in big red letters on the back. We shouldn't be too hard to find! :-) Guess that's all going on around here. I'll try to check back in later, if I'm still awake. Man, I hate being sick!!!!!!!!!! Just wanted to say HI before it got crazy around here. It seems that things are hitting the fan that just don't make sense. Everything is going crazy around here with two of our offices being affected with Katrina and now Rita. Our New Orleans office is completely wiped out and they just found the last employee missing last week. All employees now are accounted for and safe. Our company just started a relief fund for our employees for these disasters and future disasters. Isn't that great. All employees affected by Katrina who were left homeless and all will be relocated to other states and given positions within the company and their SO will be helped to find employment, plus their paycheck will continue the same while they are trying to get back on their feet. I never knew I worked for such a great company. I was sick :headache: this whole weekend. But, as sick as I was I still had to get up on Saturday and go to DS Tae Kwan Do Tournament. He won by default, his opponent left without telling anyone so he was automatically disqualified. I have pictures, I'll show them off when we get together. We were there from 7:30am to 3:00pm. It was fun, but man, I was looking forward to seeing DS fight. Now we won't see that till December or January at the next tournament. They have the next one in October, but I'll be gone for that one and he can't go without me because it's in CT. He is really upset with me now. TWIDDLE, my :ebike: class has been scheduled for four times a week now. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. So with all that spinning and my lifting weights and abdominals, I think I'm getting my fill. If you think we can meet in between those days, it will be tough...but, I'll manage somehow. Hey Chicklets! :wave: Me here....man did I have fun on Friday! WOOHOO...we got there and were numbers 5 & 6 in line...the people you saw in front of me TWIDDLE were the VIPS...It was all worth it but I don't think I'll be doing that again. Too much for me...will give you all the full scoop whenever we get together. I don't think I've ever been so tired then I was when I got home...was up for almost 2 days straight. I was so tired I was crying--that's bad! I wasn't sure whether or not I would be able to make it home form M's house...I could barely focus my eyes! Oh the things I do for the love of Jovi! LMAO!
Just got in a couple minutes ago...have to work late tonite. BOOHOO!!!! Gotta run--my first appt's here! BBL! |

ROCKER - Glad to hear you had fun on Friday! I was so psyched to see you!! What time did you get there? I'm just curious... SPILLIE - If you don't want to walk anymore with me, just say so. I get it. No more bonding moments. Fine. Whatev. I'm still sick, but slowly getting better. Went to visit my NYC GDTers on Saturday evening, at the one girl's apt, just for pizza and beer. It was a nice evening. Yesterday, after the Eagles game, we went for a hot air balloon ride (DH got it for me for our anniversary, but we kept getting cancelled because of weather). Let me tell you, that was an awesome experience! We just went around Bucks County...it was so enjoyable. If you ever get the chance, do it! Going to the Phillies game tonight (pray for no rain!) and tomorrow night. Both sets of tickets were free - woo hoo! Then I get to rest a couple of days, and hopefully get rid of this cold, before my races this weekend. Alright, that's it for me for now. Hope you're all well. When are we getting together again? |
Okay - I'm extending an invite to everyone on this board. My house, October 29th, don't know what time yet. This is the day that our dear friend SPILLIE will be coming home from the Dominican Republic, and she'll need her best gals :grouphug: and best bottles of booze :cheers: to surround her and help get her through. Expect lots of tears :cry: , but hopefully some of them will be from laughing her azz off with (at?) her friends. :rofl: :lol3: :rofl: :lol3: :rofl: :lol3: Let me know if you're in!

Morning Chicklets :wave: ....not feeling so great today, kinda down in the dumps. :kickcan: It seems as though once AGAIN, I have S-U-C-K-E-R written across the top of my forehead. The long & short of it is that I was played a fool by someone whom I *thought* was a good friend and as it turns out, IMO, used me and when she got what she wanted that was it--she's not talking to me at the moment. I can't believe I didn't see this one coming. DAMNIT, I'm not a fair weather friend, I'm not one who uses you for my own gain. When I'm your friend I'm a good friend! GRRRRRR....I was there for this person through the good and bad, and it seems as though just b/c I can't accommodate this one thing that she WANTS to do, that's it. FLUCK IT. I'm mad, hurt and you name it. We are all grown adults here, at least I thought so but apparently some of us are not.
VIVA: please tell me what happened on LV last night! I saw maybe the first 15 minutes before I fell asleep. I woke up at 1am and have been up ever since! I did watch the tape of last week's show. TWIDDLE: the 29th sounds great to me.....I have to work all day though til about 7pm but could come afterwards if you guys are still there. Allow me a lot of extra time to find your house too! Well I had myself a good cry last night with DH and we seem to be understanding each other for the first time in a while. We kept fighting and knitpicking(sp?) at each other about everything. But last night I broke down and told him I couldn't take it anymore. We both know that this is not happening because we want it to, but because it's the law and that's that. Then we told each other how we each were feeling (scared mostly) and then had a very good cry till about 2:00am. I'm feeling a little better getting that out into the open. We were both scared to make the other feel worse by showing our feelings. But when I told him I couldn't play strong anymore it was like permission for us to just brake down. This is one of the worse things I have to do in my life and I pray everyday that it will be the last. Okay enough of that, I hope all had a wonderful evening even though it :rain: I personally love the rain so I thought it was a good one. I went to :ebike: last night and let me tell you, I :love: this new instructor, he is a :drill: and the instructor tonight is the same way. So I hope that all this will show eventually and I start losing again the way I was before Christmas last year. TWIDDLE, I don't know what time I get in on the 29th, but I'll check so that you can make your plans. THANK YOU for being such a good friend, :cry: AWWW here I go again.
