I need your strength

Just a quick note to say hello. If I do not keep on task I start to cry. Our kitty girl has gotten really sick over the weekend and it is time to send her to heaven peacefully today or tomorrow. It is breaking my heart, but the right thing to do is always the hardest, and this is the right thing to do. We can't let her suffer, its better if we put her in God's hands.

On another note, It sounds like you are all doing great!! I am proud of all of you ;) Keep it up....we're kicking butts (or losing butts, whichever  ).
I lost 2 more pounds....3 more and I get another flower WHOO HOO...

Love yous, I will check in later (gotta look like im working or something...)
Take care of yous!

Good Monday Morning Gals !! Glad to see a few more faces after the quiet weekend.

Well I did it.. I got my hair cut. It is about chin length now. Not sure if I am totally in love with it. It will take some getting use to !

I had my WI this morning and happy to report that I lost 1.0 lbs. TOM has officially left the building, so hoping for better result next week !!

JENNIE ~ way to go girl !! See I told you that you would have better result this week. You will be getting your 10% key chain soon.. or do they do something different in the States ??

MOM ~ I will be 36 at the end of this year.. so I can't really bug DH about his age seeing as I am pretty close to it ! Glad to hear that your knee is feeling better.

DEE ~ you may just be the young one in the group, although we are all pretty close in age. Hope your training goes well today.. you sound so excited about the new job!

MOON ~ having psychology classes would definately help in business.. quiet often I ask myself "What were they thinking ??!?!?!?!"

LISA ~ sounds like you had a busy weekend... and no you are not old!! I love going out for breakfast, but haven't done so in a long time. Maybe that will be a treat one weekend for hubby and I.

LOOKING2LOSE ~ so sorry to hear about your kitty  I know how attached you can get to your pets, but you are right you don't want her to have to suffer. Take care :grouphug:

well I better get some paper moving on my desk. Have a great day

~~Sunshine~~ 06-13-2005 01:58 PM

Hello everyone!! Hope all is having a good day!! I am so far did my sweatin to the oldies tape and at 2pm going to my workout room to workout with my mom!! She already has lost 70 pds and has kept it off for 3 yrs!!

Dee~ I have you bet I am only 25 years old and DH is 30!! Mommy to 3 Garrett 7, Madison 3, Colt 20 months!!! Married to Brian 7 years and together for 10 years!! Yes I was 15 and we have been together ever since!!! WOW that sure is a big load!! LOL

angel-eyes 06-13-2005 05:55 PM

Okay ....okay but just don't call me M'am!!!..... I am almost ...ALMOST 45 yo!! :D Dh and I have been married for almost 17 years and we have 2 boys ages 7 and 11. I think I am the old fogey here!!!

Looking........Sorry to hear about your kitty. :( I thought she was on the mend but I guess not. She will always be in your heart but maybe you're right....her time has come. A few years ago, we also had to put our cat to sleep as her kidney disease was just too much for her. Please be prepared as the injection works VERY fast, say your goodbyes quickly and her pain will be gone in less than 2 minutes. {{hugs}} BTW, weigh to go on the weight loss!

ClipClop.......woohoo....a new haircut!! Bet it looks great!! And you lost another pound also? You are doing so well.

Lisa......hmmm, a $20 lawnmower?...I'll be right over!!

Deerod.....Pink hair rocks!! Its just as they say, opposites attract. For my 40th I got a tattoo on my right shoulder. Actually I forget about it until I wear a camisole top and then everyone says...."oh. I didn't know YOU had one!!" I guess I'm the least person they would expect. ;)

Moonray......good luck with your weigh in tommorow at the drs. office

Petra.......I have had that chicken pecan salad (Dana Carpenter) and yum yum!! One of my forays into low carb meals. She has quite a few good cookbooks.

MoonRay 06-13-2005 06:30 PM

looking2loose- Sorry to hear about your Cat :( be strong, for the both of you I'm sure it's the best thing for her.

Well ... even if i cant see any decrease on the scale.. ( i am afraid to look now) i can see it in my clothes... I am hoping all this see-sawing is the effects of not having a period for like 9 months and to all of a sudden get one... maybe it was hormonal changes... who knows...( hmm maybe i still have time to have that baby ive always wanted)

Tomorrow nite is my hot date!!! whooo hooo! cant wait... tomorrow at work will be the longest day ever...

Ive been doing good staying under 1200 calories every day .. errr umm and walking most days..

When i am off wednesday ... I will go see what the curves like place is all about and if i can afford it...

My chai (dog) is having such a time with flea allergies.. even tho he always has frontline on.. i guess he got a bite when we were outside. Ive been giving him benedryl and cold baths.. poor guy..

anyways i'll see u guys wednesday... and let u know how the date goes..

GDay Gang ~ here is the daily motivator. Sometimes they just aren't relevant.. but this one certainly rings true for the journey that we are all taking together. Have a good evening my friends :)

Really want it

If you really want it, you will have it. If it means enough to you, it will happen.
For if you really want it, you will find a way. You'll stop making excuses and start making it real.

The obstacles you encounter are not there to prevent you from reaching your goal. The obstacles are there to make sure you really want it.

When you really want it, you'll find a way around, under, above or through each one of those obstacles. And as you do, you'll be literally creating the value of what you intend to achieve.

When you really want it enough, it is in many ways already yours. Full and complete attainment then becomes a matter of going through the motions and following a path that leads surely there.

Decide what you really want, and be careful what you decide upon. For when you truly want it, you will make it so.

Howdy All!!!!! Spring has finally spring in my little corner of the world... we are heading for the mid-70's today and the 80's for the weekend!! No rain in the forecast for several days!! YIPPEEEEEEEEEEE

Did my 3 miles yesterday while Mallissa was at gymnastics. Wahhhoo... She was so proud of herself after gym, she did a round off...off the high balance beam by herself!! Then I did part of RS, Dance your pants off. Activity is my friend. LOL Eating wise I did ok yesterday. I really need to start journaling better but I tend to keep it in my head. I know when I overeat and have things that I could of made better choices.

Curlylocks: YIPPEEEEEEE On the loss!! Hope you have fun on your date.. LOL not too much fun..hehe Stay busy today and the day will fly by. That is my plan anyway!

Clipclop: I think the modivator was good. We all want it and working hard toward our goal! We have excuses, obstacles and willpower to make it happen! We can do this with the support we have from our friends! I cut my hair a few weeks ago too. I let my bang grow out..not too sure I like it but it is ok...my bangs keep getting in my face and that drives me crazy. LOL

Moonray: WONDERFUL!!!!!! Glad you surprised the doc but even better that you surprised yourself!! Keep up the good work!!

Angel: You are only as old as you feel! Sometimes I feel like 80 and somedays 5. LOL I am not a tattoo person. That is my older person in me. LOL Actually Mallissa and I were talking about tattoos the other day. We were watching Nickeleon and there were 2 young men on there their arms were covered. I told her that looked yucky... she thought it was kewl... I told her tattoos were ok as long as you could take them off. LOL SHe doesn't understand the permancy of them...or the pain involved!! My $20.00 lawnmower is back in the garage. ..where it is safe. We just bought it at the end of the summer last year.....and we just gave the extra one to my stepson.(that one we got at a garage sale for $25.00 to mow the back yard in places...Dave didn't want to use his "good" one. LOL) Men are so funny!

Sunshine: WOW been married since you were 15! That is so kewl. WOW, your mom is an inspiration to us all. The other night Mallissa and I did RS Sweatin to the Oldies and at the end where they show the weight loss...She said..how much mom...LOL When I put it in context to what she could tell, like twice her weight..etc...she was amazed. LOL Lil Brat that she is. LOL

Lookin: Sorry about the kitty! Big hugs!! IT is hard losing a family member. Great on the loss too!! Another 2lbs gone forever!!

Dee: We are still glad you are back! Just take your time getting back on program...it will be so much better in the long run. You can do it!!

Petra: Is your world sane yet?? Glad you survived the weekend!! I used to work for an answering service many years ago....... peds and gynos are the worst.. people call in for everything!! We answered for a HMO group so they had to call the people back...no matter what.... some of the calls were really stupid... most of the doctors were really nice about it... but there was some grumps.

Well..I need to go get my shower for work!! Tonight is swimming!! Dave is going with us. (Mallissa talked him into it..plus he loves the hot tub!!) so I can work out while she is in swimming. My plan is to workout on the treadmill and bike..might try the elipical but I have never did it so if there is not many people..I will try. LOL Don't like to make a fool out of myself. Last time I went to the Y...I couldn't turn on one of the treadmills. I really think it was broke. LOL but it made me feel stupid. So I just moved to another one but had that feeling...like hey look..at that fat women..she is so stupid she can't even turn on the treadmill.

Hope everyone has a great day!! Be good to yourself!

Hi Everyone,
Yesterday I took a personal day so I was no where near a computer. Some times, it is so nice to take a personal day. It was great. My son started a soccor camp. YOu know I would probably lose 20 pounds in a week if I was at his camp, they literally play soccor all day. He loves it. I am lucky, he is a very active kid, he would rather play outside than watch TV. I am trying to foster that. My parents never encouraged me to do sports. when i was in middle school, I joined the soccer team and played in middle school and highscool and I don't think they came to a single game. But what ever, now I am like excersise mama, I have even looked into joining an adult recreational soccer once I have lost a little more weight and can run a little better.

Curlylocks, great job on that scale finaly moving down. I know that plataue frustration to well.

Lookin, so sorry to hear about your kitty. It is really hard to say good bye to a good friend.

Angel, definatley won't call yo m'am, I hate when my students call me that I'm like I am not a m'am, I am still young, at heart!

Moonray, graet job on the loss, keep that docotor in awwh.

Sunshine, I can't believe you have been with your hubby so long. that is crazy. I'm not even friends with people i met when I was 15. well some but not a whole lot. good job on that one.

Clip clop, thanks for the motivation, some times we need to read things like that and reflect on our selves. keep em coming

Petra, when you are on call do you have to run around a lot? It can be hard to schedule in food. Maybe try just taking some good snacks you can eat and go with.

Lisa, I was slipping on the weekend a lot to, but then I stoped loseing. Journaling is my good friend in this. I notice when I don't do it, I don't lose. Even if I think I am keeping track, when I go to write it I have had so many more points then I thought. But if you are still losing, you are right, youdon't have to be so strick. You must be doing a lot of things right.

Deerod, that is good that you can go back to dressing the way you want. I don't think I could work in a place you have to dress up everyday. My job is very layed back so we can kind of dress how ever we want.

I hope I didn't miss anyone.

Hello everyone

Thought I'd check in and let you all know I was still alive. Just barely, though. The weekend was ROUGH! Snack and junk food everywhere you looked. I stepped on the scale this morning and I've gained 1.8. How damn depressing is that? After all this hard work. I sometimes don't think I have the energy to keep this up. I had to literally force myself to just to the 1-mile WATP this morning and it felt as though I might croak right there. :dz:

I'm so tired I can barely keep my eyes open right now, but wanted to check up on everyone. Congrads on everyone whose lost. :dancer:

I do want to thank Clipclop for the motivational quote. It was something I desperately needed to read. I'm having a lousy week and it's still not over. This weather here is making things all the more depressing. It's been raining A LOT! I miss my husband. He works 3-11pm and I sometimes really wish he was here. :stress:

At any rate, I'm super sorry I don't have the energy to respond to everyone, but I have read the posts and feel caught up.

Someone PLEASE help me to get over this terrible hump I've plunked myself into. I'm feeling scared that I can't do this anymore. :(

curlylocks 06-14-2005 09:01 PM

Annie dont u give up! I went 3 weeks without losing 1 oz and gaining 3 even tho i was OP the entire time... and u see the reward i got today!!!! its a slow process at times.. just try to re motivate yourself... give yourself a non food treat... and post away it really does help... and i know everyone cheering me on sure helped!!!

O my dinner date>>> :( he had an emergency on a project in AL and had to hop on the next flight... rescheduled for next wednesday!

petra65 06-14-2005 09:12 PM

Hi everyone. Had another day from **** yesterday but I think things should finally calm down for me. No more call for the month of June!

Looking-so sorry about your kitty. I can't imagine losing one of my boys although I know that will happen one of these days. Someone will probably have to medicate me for a few days. You are doing great with the weight loss though, so keep on doing whatever it is you are doing.

Clipclop-thanks for the motivation. It is so true. Also congrats on your loss.

Curly-I guess tonight is the big date. Good luck. Glad to see the scale finally moved for you.

Dee-I never pictured you with pink hair. Hope you are doing well and enjoying the new job. Look forward to hearing more from you.

Angel-I guess you and I are the senior members of this group and have to keep these young ones in line. LOL

Annie- Those 1.8 lbs will be gone in no time. I know it seems like you worked so hard to get rid of those pounds and poof, just like that, here you gained, but if you get right back to your program I bet they will be gone by next week. Almost all of us have had a little slip, you just get back on the wagon and keep on going. We're in this for the long haul. (I'm much better at butt kicking than sweet talking, LOL)

Sky-I used to have a Saturn, different model though. I really liked it. The only problem was that we get a lot of snow here and it didn't do well in the snow so I have a subaru now. Enjoy the new car.

Didn't intentionally leave anyone out.

Did some low carb baking tonight-isn't that an oxymoron? Anyway. I made a sour cream coffee cake. It smells and looks great. I hope it tastes great too. Some interesting things on the Low carb Thread here. Yesterday some guy was on and was blasting low carb diets on our thread-what was up with that? Also, a new woman came on who lives about 10 miles from me. Also, more interesting stuff on the protein power site recently. I'm learning a lot. I'll have to tell you about my coffee cake tomorrow.
