Sorry I haven't posted in a few days. My DD's recital has had me running around in cirlces!! Today was ridiculously insane. Between picking up flowers, getting her dressed, taking her to get her hair done, being at dress rehersal by 2:30 which of course was in downtown Houston of all places!!!! And I didn't leave work until 11:30... so it was a very hectic few hours. After rehersal I meet my DS and DH for dinner at the Spaghetti Warehouse...but I hadn't eaten all day so hopefully it won't be too bad. The show was at 7:00 so we didn't get home until about 11:15 tonight. Needless to say I have a very tired 4 and 6 year old!! I quess I'm just trying to unwind alittle and catch up on posts. I will try to do better in keeping up with all of you!!! Time for bed!

I wish sweat was good for your hair
Because if sweat was good for your hair, I'd have silky, luxurious locks by now. Soaked clear through to my "unners" TWICE yesterday. Worked out (INSANELY) with my sister yesterday morning and then after my shift at work ended (2330 hours) I hauled my turtle arse to the office gym and did another HOUR on the treadmill! :s: This time I bumped the speed up (2.3 MPH) and left it there and managed to get 2.25 miles in. For my short turtle legs, that's about as far and fast as I can go without breaking into a jog. I'm too big of a gal to jog just yet. I can hear the wet fat slapping right now. :barf: Last summer when I'd go to the outdoor track and walk alone in the dark, I'd do what I called "Jo-wuffling." It was my blend of jogging, walking and shuffling. I'd never make it far doing that, but since I was alone, I tried. Maybe I'll start going to the outdoor track again instead of the office gym. I may not push myself as hard, but it's a much more pleasant atmosphere. It's just so dang dark over there. And kind of spooky too.
Well, this day sure got away from me. I slept in a little this morning (which is good because I was up at 0530 yesterday. But my "TO DO" list is getting longer instead of shorter. I have so much to do before my trip, and I'm not getting ANY of it done, playing on line. MOVE IT TURTLE! :drill: Have a great Hump Day, everyone. I'll check in with you all later today (from work). MoonRay! You go gurrrl. Great job III LBS bite the dust! :smug: |
GDay !!! Wow.. I miss a day and it takes me forever to get caught up. I will try to read everyone's messages tonight and do a longer post.
Just wanted to check in and say . I think it is great that we are all rallying to get Dee back. I will also send her a message, so hopefully she will realize how much we want her to come back !! Hope everyone has a great day and I will write a longer post tonight and catch up with you all. Ciao for now :D |

Wow! We did it the boys and I walked (well my 2 year old rode in the wagon) all the way to the library, I know it's about a mile and a half maybe 2 miles not sure from there from here but it seemed like a long long way . Whew.......we are so hot and tired now hmmm maybe I can get the little one to take a nap . Knowing him though that is not likely to happen oh well one can dream huh? The good thing is my hair is turning back to blonde instead of the yucky brown YAY!

I have a big challenge this evening. I am going to a medical staff meeting that includes dinner. I've already eating 30 net carbs today and only have about half my protein in so I hope there are some good choices for dinner. The last few things I have gone to at the hospital, there seems to have been some attempt to have low carb options available--cheese, low carb fruit, diet soda, etc.

Hi PIC Divas
How's everyone doing? I'm at work, but I can't complain. Of course, I still do. ;) I slept in a little today (felt good) but I'm saving my workout for tonight when I get off work. Another hour on the treadmill, I guess. I told "Mr Personal Trainer Guy" that I'd like to do just one mile and maybe a weight lifting circuit, but he suggested I stick with the cardio for now, at least until I get back from vacation. Hmmmm :chin: Maybe he thinks I'm going to be bad at the :sunny: :beach: :lol3: I'll comply for now :tread: I'm sure tons of cardio isn't going to hurt THIS body. I hope you're all having a great evening. As for me, we're having pc problems here and I've had to call out people I REALLY don't want to call again. Errg. And I see it's shutting down again. Better scoot. I mean they ARE paying me for this.

 Boy am I steamed! I went to my staff meeting and I got paged with an "urgent consult". I called the floor to find out what was going on and the resident couldn't tell me what was urgent about it, just that the attending (the doctor in charge, said it was urgent) so I left the meeting before I even got my dinner to go do this consult. When I get there, it turns out there is NOTHING, I mean, NOTHING urgent about this. The patient is barely awake (so no agitation problem that I urgently need to manage) and has a nasogastric tube in so she is not going to the psych unit tonight!! And of course, I had no plan B for dinner so after I get done seeing this patient I have to figure out what I'm going to do for dinner. I ended up getting a chicken at Boston Market and ate some of that. I haven't had my protein requirement for the day but I don't think I can eat any more. I'm going to have to get the head of our consult service to give this attending some feedback tomorrow. I think I deserve an apology for this one. How do you put the little emoticons in your message? I can't drag them and I can't copy and paste.

Hi Everyone. Hope all is well. I got on the treadmill for an hour today ran a little and used the incline a little. I'm feeling pretty good but the knee is acting up still. Oh yeah it decided to :rain: here today so I still have not been able to use the jogging stroller :(. The rain is actually not helping my knee either. I have arthritis or bursitis (not sure which) which acts up before and during rain.
Moon - You big loser!!! 3 lbs!!! Way to go girl :cp:. Give yourself a pat on the back. I'm so proud of you for going back to school. That is such a hugh step for you. Let us know how it goes :goodluck:. Jennie - You must be working something right to have a sore booty. I can't image being sore there and having to sit at work all day :stars:. I'm glad you put your scale away. Your going to go  weighing all the time. Lisa - Sorry about the cell phone issues. I have had a few of them my own self :dizzy:. Hope you are having a good day today. kpe - Bet your glad the recital is over so you can actually breathe huh???? Curlylocks - Thanks for the recipe. I'm going to buy the stuff to make it next time I get to the grocery store. :smug: Hotcup - I hear you on the sweat thing. I'm getting tired of taking so many showers every day. That is an exercise of it's own . Clipclop - I really wish Dee would just let us know she is o.k. you know. I'm worried about her. I don't know how to reach her. If you think of anything let me know. Maybe she just needs time. Or maybe her computer is down. Sky - Great job on getting your exercise in ;). Your doing it girl!! Petra - I hope they had some healthy choices tonight. You would think with all the people on diets they would provide some good choices. |
Wooo, I'm gone a day and BAM! Lots of posts. Been busy. I mowed the lawn tonight and with this heat, I thought I was gonna pass out. I did it, though. Great exercise, indeed. Then I ate a low-cal, low-fat chicken gumbo for dinner (ohhh so very tasty.) Then I did Jane Fonda's "Toning" routine with weights. It's a most excellent work-out, but I found I couldn't do the abdominal work, as my gut is quite large. :o
I've been keeping good with my calories and exercise, though I think I'll probably blow it this weekend. (Remember the get-together) at my brothers? Ugh. Petra- Sorry about your ruined dinner plans. I can't even begin to tell you how many stories I have from work. Most of the time, it's not my co-workers but the patients themselves. Everything is always an emergency. I'm sorry, but green boogers do not constitute anything even remotely close to an emergency. At any rate, just a rant. Sorta of a "blah" day. Also, what exercise do you do, if you don't like exercise videos? I love them. I can pick and choose my workout and go at my own pace. Mom- Hope the knee is feeling better. Great job on the CURVES workout! :strong: I also find myself looking forward to exercising. I think I sometimes DREAM about it. Lisa- Also :bravo: on the exercise session at the "Y." We all seem to be such a busy bunch of gals. Moon- Way to go on the 3 lbs! I'm really finding this forum to be extremely motivating! :) Sky- Darn! Sorry to hear about the no insurance. I could go into a rant about insurance coverage in this country, but that's another forum. Drink lots of water and if you don't have a history of hypertension, try Sudafed. Really hope you start to feel better. :) Hot- I think I was in Ocean City, MD the summer of 2000. Or at least we were very close. We spent the summer in a "cottage" right on the Potomac River. What I remember the most was the "scent" of the area. It was so flowery and fresh. Hope you have a great time. Oh, also, I haven't yet gotten the "Walk n' Jog", but maybe I'll get that one, too! :dancer: *takes big breath*That was a lot! Well, I'm off to relax and read my book. See ya'll on da flip side. |
Petra - You snuck in on me. I am so sorry you had a bad night :sorry:. For the emoticons... if you want to see more than whats on the right hand side click more down at the bottom then just double click on the one you want. If it does'nt land where you want you can cut and paste.
