Good Afternoon Ladies,
Just a quick note to let you know I am with you. I am up to any challenges--mini or not. Just let me know. Actually I haven't had my good energy like I used to so I decided a plan of action. First of all I tackled Gene's room and bathroom and they both look lovely. I then went to the gym and did the treadmill and then a few of the weight machines. After that I went to see Gene and observed about six of the residents getting their physical therapy. I do believe I am even more motivated after observing this. A couple of the ladies "refused" to get up and walk and wanted to go back to their room. Gene on the other hand walked around the room 4 or 5 times with an attendant holding onto a belt close behind. He definitely is motivated to get out of there as soon as possible.
I never got to leave there until 3:15 and I hadn't had lunch and I really wasn't hungry. In fact I feel better today than I have in the past few weeks.
Yes, I am the one who tried the apple diet--it does work, however, you soon tire of apples. I made some "super" apple pancakes this morning and I do believe that is why I wasn't hungry. This evening I am having a steak, baked potato and a small salad. I will also indulge in one of my WW treats. Yesterday I picked up the book "Stop the Insanity." It is written by Susan Powter, the lady who shaved her head. She says she lost 230 lbs. She says you can "Change the way you look and feel --forever. I guess I am always thinking one of these books is going to click with me.
Okay ladies let's start June 1st with a bang! I may go to the WW meeting before bowling tomorrow even though I probably have stayed the same or even gained. I do get motivated from the meetings.
Take care,
Anita
