On to day two of no refined sugar.

ceara - a nutty bar is a snack type food with the essential nutrients of peanut butter and chocolate. almost (but not quite) as tantalizing as pb cups.

wow, the roster of challengettes is quite long. It seems like a Micky mouse roll call

I'm on day 16....had bit of funky dinner, but still in personal challenge limits. See food thread for details.

Am trying to get out the door for walk, but am draggin' this morning...

Keep up the good work all!

Repeating to Amarantha in supermarket yesterday: 'Step away from the Nutty Buddy aisle, step away from the Nutty Buddy aise, step away ... ...

I'm on Day 7 of no pb cups, I think. Have decided that Nutty Buddies qualify as pb cups in spirit so I didn't buy any!

Nutty Buddies are also an ice cream novelty ... ice cream in a sugar cone with nuts on top ... sometimes with stuff like caramel or chocolate in the center.

Congrats to Zadie on Day 2 and Wsw on Day 5!!

Glad thou be with us Stababe!

Greetings to all Challengettes (as Mouseketeer theme song plays softly in background ) ... let's be careful out there ... it's a Nutty Buddy jungle!

Really you guys, Nutty Buddies! That brought back memories of the ice cream cone dipped in chocolate and nuts, that the ice cream truck sold us when we were kids!

But, back to reality!! Today is day 3!!!! Waters in and work out done, day 2. Today I walk and walk some more. Just ordered step pedometers for me and the SO. Maybe I shoulda gotten two more for the cats....heh heh. DOing well today on the water.

My eating has been pretty good--lots of those raw vegies!! I should be turning orange soon from the beta carotene - I love red peppers! So, I won't need to sit out in the sun!!

And to everyone - keep walking past those aisles of 'baddies', those steps add up!

Ceara, thou be in the home stretch!!! You're an inspiration!!!! I wanna be thee when I grow up!!!

Those are all the Challengettes I can see from the screen I'm on, but hoping everyone has a great rest o' the day and makes it safely past the Nutty Buddy aisle!!!

I'm calling it good for Day 7 ... I will NOT be stopping for pb cups and moving on to Day 8, my first day on the second block.

Talking

YUP The home stretch for this block...and the opportunities get more frequent and harder to resist....this healthy living is not easy in this day and age. Maybe I should become a hermit? Am still on the wagon, but have dinner out twice this week end....the stomach ills sure is a good foil for most food offers though, and sometimes it is even true . I am seeing a bit of link between fat and hurt...so....who knows...

Eydie, how're you doing? This is such a mind thing isn't it? Empress A, those PBC are losing their siren hold over you, I can tell....I was reading some posts in another forum and they were describing how when you've not had something for a while, when you actually have some it doesn't taste as good as you remember it.....interesting.

Zadie K...we know you can do it...and you are right along with Stababe...great work! Tech and bburoughs be thee still in second block?.... I hope so! And where is Wildfire? My WI was cancelled last night...the church had another function so they were going to walk on the greenway, except I expect they didn't since the weather was so horrible. So next week I will see how this is working for me.

My BD is in 2 weeks, so I may have to tailor my next challenge around that. I'm thinkin' already! A lot of this is planning...and just not having the eats in the house...right Tech?

Anyway, off to dodge the raindrops and walk....hang in there all! Wsw you are doing marvelous darling!

Day 4. Actually I feel great. I have also found a few good sweet things at the co-op without refined sugar that I like, so I do not feel deprived. I just cannot eat the real crap.

Wow, everyone is doing so well. Awesome.

Is it to late for me to join this challenge? I've been struggling lately with my weight loss endeavors and figure this challenge may be just what I need to motivate back on to the straight and narrow.
My 21 day challenge beginning on the 11th is 3 part. 1. To cut back my calories to 1800 or less 2. To journal what I eat and 3. No snacking after 8pm.
The exercise part is easy for me but watching what I eat is not. I tend to snack when I'm bored or sometimes for just no reason. So, maybe if I can keep focused through this challenge maybe I'll drop a few pounds in the process.
