can't count today, since dinner was no small portion, so will consider new start for me tomorrow on this challenge. hope everyone's weekend is good. take care.
Ok, dokey!!!! I've come up with an idea for a 21-day challenge that will make me feel better! Huzzah! I've been in a slump due to career setbacks, stress, too much food and weight gain (probably, I don't really know) and not feeling motivated to exercise because I had to stop using the personal trainer but the one thing I CAN start up again easily is YOGA, only a little bit of which helps me manage stress enormously. So I'm challenging myself to do any amount of yoga at least once a day, starting today! I just did 10 minutes of a Wai Lana tape.
Crashed & burned due to not being able to handle career anymore! Er, that's what daily yoga is supposed to help out with, so I'm starting over on Day 1 tomorrow ... today, actually!
Congratulations on the 2 pounds down, Maat!!! That's really good!
I am back at Day 1, AGAIN!!!! I spent the weekend camping and not staying on plan and somehow I seemed to gain 5-6 lbs in a week, is that possible? Tomorrow I start at Day 1, and there are no more excuses!!! I WILL be on plan and I WILL stay on Plan!!!!
Actually, I didn't do yoga and am completely hopeless at 21-day challenges! I will think of another one sometime!!! Huzzah!
Lori, I'm no expert, but in my opinion, it's totally possible to gain 5-6 pounds in a week, but most of it'd be water and/or just the weight of food if you've been eating a bit more. To gain even five pounds of fat, in theory, you'd have to eat 17500 calories over and above the calories you are burning by activity and by just being alive, and that's a lot of extra calories for such a short time period. Some of the weight could be muscle, too, if you've done extra exercise. So worry not! The weight'll drop right off!
You're doing great and I'm awed by your persistence!
Thank you, Amarantha, for your words of encouragement!!! I may have over eaten but definitely not 17500 calories worth. Hopefully this extra weight will disappear!
It WILL disappear, Lori! You are so consistent and dedicated that it's a foregone conclusion.
Everyone is doing great here (well, not me, but I will sometime)!!! Congrats to Maat, Wsw and Bburoughs for all their work on this challenge and to everyone, mentioned or unmentioned who's here and working hard. If I leave any names out of a post, it's just because I'm mostly not too bright, but I mean to reply to everyone!!! Huzzah!
Just popping in real quick to say Hi and to say that I am still on challenge. Will be back from vacation on Tuesday and will report on Days completed. I have forgot how many it is.
