Well, Missy Cerise was ahead of us, but she's not checked in over the week-end. Prolly having a REALLY GOOD TIME doin' somethin'

Onto day 8....Empress you'll be fine getting past Day 3...just do it a minute at a time...and when all else fails, close the royal kitchen and go to bed....only allowed out for bathroom calls.

Have to go do a walk and the last Storytime of the spring and then get my hairs cut....all before I start the day at work...Jeez!

to all Challengerettes!

Congrats on being at Day 8, Ceara!!! You be on the second "block" if, like me, you're calling your weeks blocks!!! Huzzah!

I be wondering about Cerise as well. Om shanti, Cerise, where art thou and how goeth it with the vege quest!

Much to my surprise, my Day 2 held up and I'm officially on Day 3 !!! Actually, I had sort of thought of getting some extra rest today and hopefully just reading on the couch won't make me too hungry!!!!

Sis boom bah!!!! I'd surely like to make Day 4 for a change!

Wink

Mornin'

It isn't raining yet...but it is supposed to. I guess I'm not complaining because the weather guys are forecasting a hot dry summer and the ground is dry....stockpiling is good.

I'm on Day 9....a minor miracle.

So, here's for our successes today and job out to AZ.

Hi,
While I was away I gave up caffeine. Now I am ready for the next big step. I will challenge myself to 21 days of no refined sugar. It seems rather impossible, but on the other hand, giving up coffee seemed impossible as well.

So...day 1.

Hello All,

Well I've made it thru days 1, 2 and 3 so now I'm on to day 4!!! I'm amazed at how much more difficult this is than I thought it'd be. I'd already been cutting back but to actually be conscience and keeping track seems to be making me want more!!!! Oh well I will succeed .

Amarantha - Congrats on getting thru that dreaded day 3. Hang in there we'll make it.

Eydie, Ceara and bburoughs - Yea on days 4, 9 and 1 respectively.

Zadie - Welcome and good luck. That's one tough challenge you've chosen

Well off to make dinner. Maybe we'll eat before 8:00 tonight .

Well, ok, guys! I hate to mention it but I'm not going to make it through Day 4. I'm at 1725 now (4:15 p.m.) and feel I will have to eat dinner ... starting over yet again at Day 1 tomorrow!

If anyone wants to throw me off the thread, s'ok! Otherwise, I'm trying again! See ya!

Welcome Zadie, glad to have you here with us. Good luck on your challenge. I need to give up coffee but I just can't seem to visualize my self not drinking coffee.

Tech, Congrats on Day 3!

Amarantha - Don't Stop til You Get It Right! I think that's a song, not sure! But, Don't Stop til You Get It Right!!!

This is Day 3 for me.

Well, Brenda, I think it just may be a song and it's one I'm gonna sing!!! BUT, I've come to the realization that I need to pick a more doable challenge that will still advance my goal and I've also come to realize that it's the behavior of stopping and getting my daily peanut butter cups that is the pivotal point in my day that triggers to the decision to blow the calorie limit again (could this sentence be any longer). SO, here's my new challenge and I think it will greatly aid my cause:

I, Amarantha, being of somewhatly sound mind and body, do solemnly swear that for 21 consecutive days, I will NOT eat any pb cups in any form whatsoever!!!! Yowza! No traditional pb cups, no white chocolate pb cups, no giant pb cups, no honey-peanut pb cups, no dark chocolate pb cups, no Reese's pb cups made in Pennsylvania, no off-brand pb cups in plain brown wrappers, no pseudo-pb cups lacking sugar, no (allegedly) low carb pb cups with lots of "sugar alcohols," no pb cups in ice cream, no pb cups in cookies ... NONE, ZIP, NADDA!!!

PB CUP NOT 21-DAY CHALLENGE: DAY ONE!

Was I shouting? How rude!
