Congratulations Pray! You and hubby are doing great! Keep at it!

Good to see you back Barb! You are sooo close to ONEderland... wooohooo! Before you know it you will be walking in that glorious land! Keeping busy is doing good for you!

Susie, great job going to the gym alone and trying something new! Isn't it great to focus on yourself and realize that you are capable of more than you thought! That is sooo great!

Here's my good news, I got weigh and measured at Curves yesterday, and here are the results: (drumroll please....)

Measurement/This month's loss/Total Loss

Bust: 36.5"/-2"/-4.25" ( nothappy about this one!)
Waist: 28.5"/-3.25"/-6.5"
Abdomen: 40.75"/-1.25"/-5.75"
Hips: 41.5"/-2.5"/-6.75"
*Thighs: 25.5"/-2.5"/-3"
*Arms: 12"/-2"/-4"
Weight: 185#/-13#/-35.5#
Body Fat%: 27.6%/-5.9%/-6.5%

* Keep in mind the measure is a single thigh/arm and the loss is the total for both

I am sooo excited! I have met my August 1st goal about 2 weeks ahead of schedule! Nantucket here I come! Woohoo!

Jen: CONGRATULATIONS! You are so inspiring. I know how proud you must be of yourself. Enjoy the trip.

I have a question. Are your measurments what you are now or what you started at, and then you show how much you lost this month and the total?

I'm going to measure myself tomorrow morning, so that I can keep track. It's a good idea.

again on a job well done

Thank you Susie! I've never thought of myself as inspiring, but I am so glad to be able to share this success with all of you. Coming in here and chatting with all you wonderful ladies, makes me want to try harder so I have positive results to share with you! So I guess I owe you another thank you for holding me accountable!

To answer your question, my measurements are the current ones, then I wrote what a lost this month to get to that point and finally the total that I have lost since I started this transformation in March.

I think you totally should measure yourself because it gives you another way to look at your success.... If you plateau and start to get discouraged because the weight is staying the same, measure yourself again, because odds are you'll see a difference there.

Talking Good Day All You Successful Chickie-Poos!

Hello Hello All! Boy did I like reading the posts today! Tons of successes over the past week!

Let me say congrats to all of you!

Volly - Welcome! Wow you've really done well at maintaining your weight loss. I definitely can see you acheiving your goal. You're so close! 17 1/2 lbs. is achievable! Look at how far you've come already!

Susie - OMG! Congrats on avoiding the ice cream! WELL DONE!! I knew you could do it!

Pray - Congrats! I knew you wouldn't let another week pass with a weight gain!

Barb - Congrats on the new job! OMG - 1 lb. from ONE-derland? COME ON - YOU CAN DO IT!!! Woo-hoo!!

Jenn - YOU DID IT GIRL! When's Nantucket? Hmmmm...do we need to worry about you? A tattoo on the last trip...what's next

Yes, I got lots of comments on the new outfit. I actually took a picture of myself. It was the first time in about 7 years that I wasn't completely mortified. My best friend and husband flipped that I even allowed it. *they wanted me to see how far I've come*. I'm gonna see if I can post my before and current picture for you guys. Pretty weird, lol!

Ahhhh.....ONE-derland....how I long to see that. I keep saying to myself...52 more lbs. 52 more lbs....over and over again. So next Thursday I will weigh myself and see where we land Hopefully I will be somewhere in the 240's and can set my NEW GOAL of 220!!!! That would mean 100 lbs....omg....is that even possible, lol!

Have a great day ladies, and keep me posted on your successes...I love to hear them

Thanks Angel! No I don't think you have to worry about me doing anything... Nantucket is going to be a day trip I think and NH was a whole week... lots more time to get into trouble, that and my sister was there to encourage it! I'll try to be good, I promise! I don't know when we will be going yet though.... I have to figure that out since we are going to a concert this Saturday.... We'll have to see how the schedule works out....

Hi All:

Today I ditched work and then went to the gym after finally getting some sleep! Long story. Felt good to be back and especially when the gym wasn't completely packed like it is after work. Oh well, I guess that those skinny minnies got that way somehow.

Weighed myself after basically not doing anything for a month and I only gained 4 lbs. I guess I was doing something right although I likely won't make my July goal of 240lbs. Right now I'm 247lbs but I guess I could get close. Looking forward to making that goal.

Can everyone give me ideas for a healthy and non-fattening breakfast? I'm trying to eat less processed foods. Thanks.

Beth, maybe you could have some fresh fruit salad? That's definitely healthy.

I usually have oatmeal or cereal. This week it is alternating between Quakers "Nutrition for Women" Vanilla Cinnamon Oatmeal and Kashi's Organic Strawberry Fields(in skim milk)...

Beth,
I usually have ceral w/ milk.

Some other ideas might be fruit (as Jen said). I've also been told that some sort of protein at breakfast is good to keep one from getting hungry. They suggested to me toast w/ peanut butter, an egg (can even be hard boiled if you are in a hurry).

Hope that gives you some idea.

Susie

Wow, everyone's doing so well! Pray, Jenn, congrats on the weightloss! I'm down 1.5 pounds, less than I wanted, but anything is nice ^_^ 23.5 more pounds to ONEderland! I bet the flowers smell like sunshine in that most magic of lands ^_^

Beth, I usually eat yogurt--the Yoplait light (it's a dark blue container and lid) only has a hundred calories for a whole yogurt! Yum. Yogurt and fruit, or a low cal cereal is my suggestion ^_^

Talking Hi!!

Hi I am just getting back to this site after I fell off my weight loss wagon awhile back. I couldn't really find a spot to fit in anywhere and thought this thread looks very supportive and just what I need!! I have lost some weight. I started in April but it's taken me 3 months to lose 10+ lbs. I guess I thought it would come off faster then that. But I am proud of what I have lost. I have an addiction to Heath Blizzards right now and I tell myself it's ok, b/c I "walk it off" LOL However, I've been stuck at 242-244 for a month now!! So I'm trying to get back on track and stay away from the junk!

I'm 25 and have one daughter who is 8. She is diabetic and got dx a year ago. Having to count carbs for her makes it easier for me to watch what I eat and how much. I just need more motivation to exercise. I have been working with some weights on my arms, doing some crunches and I bought a treadmill the other day. Anyone know how much treadmill I need to see some results. To begin with...this thing is killing me! LOL I usually walk with my Mom every night (it's been hot lately though) so I get some exercise there.

My problem mainly is over-eating foods I love and not enough exercise. I watch kids during the day so I don't get up and out of the house as much as I'd like! Anyways, it's nice to meet ya all and hope I can give and get some great support here!! Thanks and sorry for the long post!

Hello everyone. Glad to "see" all of you here. Just a few short lines before I take my allergy meds and go to bed - they make me VERY sleepy. Have a blessed evening. God Bless.

TJ--There are a few Eers around here. But I dare say that very few on this board now would recognize me, as I haven't posted in quite a while. I'm still around though, and I'm still reading and keeping up with everything that's going on here. I love reading this board, even if I don't post, because these chicks are so full of energy. I'm usually not though, and I always feel like I'm repeating myself from my posts on other boards. *shrugs*

I'm getting closer to Onederland every day. I was at 204 a few days ago, but then I think I must have looked at a candy bar or something, because now I'm back up to 207 for no apparent reason. Grrr....

It'll be gone soon enough. I was hoping to have it off by August 1, but I don't really think that's going to happen, so now I'm aiming for Labor Day. That seems so far away though. I think I might just go crazy if I don't make it before then.

Anyway, keep up the great work everyone! I'll just go back to my lurking now...
