04: 244.2 - TOM
05: 242.8
06: 241.8

I did really good yesterday (except according to my food tracker I had too much sodium again).

My new blender is supposed to come today. I'm really looking forward to that. There will be some serious smoothie making happening in my house!

Being accountable makes a world of difference. I need to never leave 3FC again!

I hope everyone has a good day. It's Friday!

Kris glad you got that work out in. I stepped on the Wii for a moment to help Rissa because she was losing but only did 3 more minutes after that. Didn't amount to anything. I want one of those bodybuggs so bad. I remember you all talking about them before. Good going and I hope you get more rest today

Kris great job on the 2.8lbs of water gone WHOOSHHHHH I'm with you I need NOT ever leave 3FC again ...

LOL Joy, Aunt Flow is spotty here so she'll be full blown sometime this weekend. No cramps yet thank goodness. Yesterday was in the low 60's and nice here, today is cooler and rainy, we'll see what the weekend holds. Hope you feel better soon

I lost the 1lb I gained. I seem to be staying in the high 190's ... can't seem to get under 195.8. My weight stats are on page one.

aka, how's the running going? I'm hoping to do a 5K in the spring, or maybe summer - not sure when I'll be able to get outside to run again enough to get ready.

I had too much too eat for dinner last night and that made me hungry today. I hate that! I need to tighten it up tomorrow because I'm having lunch with my dad on Sunday at a place that has fabulous fries. It's the only place I get them at and I'm not sure I'll be able to resist. I think last time I just had fries and a small Caesar salad - yum.

Have a great weekend, everybody!

hey Steph-I've actually been on a 5 week hiatus...and I just got back like 5 minutes ago from my first run since. It was not nearly as bad as I thought it would be, and I made it a solid 35 minutes. My sisters and I are going to do a run together in April, so that has motivated me to get going again. I don't want to be shown up by my big sisters...**** no.

spend money on a run...that'll get you going. At least that is what works for me.

So excited to get my blender today . . . I used it tonight to make "tortilla" soup. I modified the recipe a little but it was good. I'm stuffed and my dinner was only 324 calories.

It had: a tomato, a carrot, part of a bell pepper (supposed to be red, but I had green), onion, pepper jack cheese, fresh parsley (I didn't have cilantro), roasted red pepper hummus (recipe called for 1/4 of an avocado), garlic powder, salt and water. My blender turned it to pure (slightly creamy) liquid in 60 seconds, then I warmed it up. Part of it I drank like you would warm tomato juice and I added some corn to the rest of it and had soup. If I had it to do over, I wouldn't add the corn - I think it was better without it and I think the corn added unnecessary calories and carbs. I think I will make it again and try adding black beans.

I'm looking forward to trying it out for a green smoothie tomorrow. Getting healthy . . . and I love it!

Kris love the excitement, glad you received your blender. Now don't forget to make the purple vegetable smoothie for your grandson . How does the cheese blend up? I have never thought of putting cheese in a blender. You must have a really good one. I have an inexpensive Black & Decker I think. LOL I don't even know where it is. When I purchased my GE bullet type gadget I stopped using my blender and now you tell me I can make soup wish I knew

Rennie - I bought a Blendtec. It is a high powered (expensive) blender. The best price I found was at Costco. Everything blended up great! I have been using a Ninja and am tired of green smoothies that weren't completely liquid - like still having celery strings, apple peel and tiny spinach pieces. It also has an 8 year warranty. I really feel like it was an investment in my health.

Kris, that's a great way to look at it ... and well put. I do find that with the little GE thing I have pieces sometimes. LOL I think I have just gotten use to it. But I it would definitely be nice to make a soup like to take with me and drink when I want.

everybody

I've been sick,Mother In hospital so life has been hectic! Held it mentality together about/with food! Last night was the First time I've had a good nights sleep in a while.Haven't/couldn't exercise.WI @ 155.6 this morning after eating late and laying down.I have never been that tired.

Felt like I was in a war the other night.spent the night w/Mother at the hospital and had to sleep w/Donuts smelling over my head I moved my cart to the other side of the room and didn't eat a one

What's really been helping is talking to myself,Listening to my body of when I'm hungry and not just eating to eat.
Just because I see cookies ,cakes and unhealthy food everywhere doesn't mean that I have to just taste it.

She's suppose to come home today hopefully,My cold is better and hopefully my life can get back Normal.
When my Sister and I were making plans about Mother and I was telling her that i have to pack food,etc.. She said.."My goodness, your life is revolved around Food" I said.."No,I just have to always be prepared"

No time to catch up w/you guys now.Always thinking of ya'll (think that's what helped me not taste one of those little donuts balls ) and sending/wishing ya'll good strength

Hi gang. Been a busy week back at work, and this is the first time I have sat down all week !
Ona - Well done on avoiding the bad stuff. It is very hard when stress rears its ugly head, not to step onto that cycle of eating for the sake of it. Hope your mum is feeling better, and that life can calm down a bit for you

Managed to persuade DS to join the gym. He's a big boy, and needs to move more to stop the problem escalating. He seems happier, now he has begun to think about the problem. Slowly and with small steps, I hope he will win the war against his weight problem.

I've been positive all week. The gym so helps me fight SAD. We have little or no sun here, and in years previous I have suffered really badly with seasonal disorder. So far, since the gym has become a constant in my life I feel better. Physically and mentally.

Haven't weighed myself, but tbh I made a conscious decision to step away from the scales. I found that once I hit goal, the weighing became counterproductive. I try to do like Ona, I try to listen to my body. Eat when I'm hungry, and not eat when I'm not. I am developing some great little healthy recipes, and trying to vary my food some. This is mostly because I want to show DD how to eat for life. She's slim, but not skinny. She wanted to lose a few pounds and get healthy, so she has encouraged me to make new things.
I love my kids so much sometimes, I feel like my heart will break when they leave ! Soppy old woman that I am !!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Take care and be good to yourselves

Don't have much time this morning. Heading out to pick up my boys for a day/night with Grandma. We have lots planned. I've packed myself a snack, a green (somewhat purple) smoothie and extra water for the day so I can stay on plan. I'm gonna try out the purple smoothie on my grandson tonight or in the morning and see how it goes. Today's smoothie is more purple than green, but not quite purple enough yet. I think it needs more blueberries . . . or maybe even some beets. Maybe I can find a purple cup to put it in so it looks more purple. Whatever works, right?

I hope everyone has a great day/weekend. I will try to check back in this evening.
