I'm doing great. Really positive and content. It's such a good feeling to have conquered the demons in my head regarding my weight and looks. It's been over 18 months at/near goal, and I'm proud to say my efforts at the gym, have made such a difference. For the first time ever in my life, I feel toned and notice the flabby skin I was left with, is slowly, but surely, departing. Such a bonus for me. I have seriously considered cosmetic surgery, but wanted to see if I could manage to shift some of the excess myself. It has taken a lot of effort and determination, but it's truly worth it. Amazingly my vacation this year was planned around my ability to have access to a gym !! Haha !!
gmornin ladies, hope all r well! Was able to get out (snowy/icy roads) and stock back up on my fruits, veggies n whole grains which means no unhealthy snacking or meals! I honestly cant get over how just a few simple changes in food choices can make such a huge difference for the better! Im ever so glad that i stepped outside my safety net to explore different healthier food choices n realize what id been missing!

I had 41 grams of carbs and 92 grams of protein yesterday. I am not sure what the net carbs of those 41 would be because my tracker only gives me the overall carbs (I could figure it out, but don't have time - am already running late for church). I was hoping to get more protein than that yesterday, but with being gone all day with the grandbabies it just didn't happen.
thanks for all the feedback you guys. went to park for three miles yesterday. ended up walking most of it (feeling sluggish). 205.6 on the scale today.
Amanda, a 3 mile walk is great - especially if you were feeling sluggish.

dangerous, I'm glad you were able to get out to the store! We had some bad weather here yesterday morning but the snow melted quickly.

I'm hoping to have a better week coming up. I'm expecting to have a 2nd interview for another job and am really hoping to get an offer. A more comfortable employment situation would make my life a lot better.

Up .6 today to 234.2. Super frustrating when I know I did great on calories and activity yesterday. I had a new member's class at church and they provided lunch - I stayed well within my allotted calories and stayed away from the potatoes, bread and desserts. I am sure the issue was sodium. Also, I don't drink as much water as I should on the weekends. I did pretty good Saturday, but not as good yesterday.

Kris I agree with Joy you are on a nice and slow decline which is great keep doing what you're doing It's supposed to be really warm here tomorrow and Wednesday high 60's low 70's then back to the 30's I think on Thursday and Friday ... hope some of the warmth comes your way Kris how many shakes did you have yesterday and which flavors did you drink? Were you full for the most part? Any snacks at all? Sorry for so many questions ... I'd really like to see an eight instead of a nine soon Great job on the two pounds down and the .6 is probably just sodium ... water water water I actually do better on the weekends now with my water than I had been, maybe because I know I can go to the bathroom when I want without having someone relieve me.

Amanda I know you're use to running and sorry about the sluggish feeling but remember I lost 30lbs walking 3 miles a day, 5 to 6 days a week and looked and felt great, LOL yes I'm reminiscing
Steph for you on getting the offer that you want. Yes I did start a new job this is my third week. I am doing what I've always loved to do child care, this is the first time I haven' been working for myself but I'll tell you the children now are truly interesting.
I think Ona has left us ... maybe she'll peak in some time.
I didn't do too bad this weekend. I got enough rest and I pretty much ate on plan. I ate a few carbs (breads and pasta), only a little per day. My children are really watching me. I have been wanting peanut butter so I've had a peanut butter sandwich here and there. One day I ate hush puppies and I made some Fettucini Alfredo with Shrimp so I ate a small bowl of that and surprising I saw 194.4 this morning. I saw 194.2 on Saturday but I thought it was because I slept until 9:30am then yesterday was 195.2 so not too bad. I may get to see at least a 2-3 pound loss for the month.
Any suggestions on our weigh in title for February?

gmornin ladies the sun is britely shining n its warm like a spring day (wishful thinking)! Havent been to the gym since last wednesday due to weather n kids home but back on schedule today thank God but also means ive gotta brave the scale today too yippy. Rennie glad u found a job doing what u luv that always makes things easier! Ive decided to go back to work myself so started hunting yesterday so u ladies wish me luck n say a little prayer plz! Good morning everyone! Nice to see you Rennie. Keep up the good work! To answer your question about shakes....on Saturday I replaced two meals with shakes. They were large shakes - about 20-24 ounces each. I really wanted to cut out some carbs so I didn't make green smoothies, just regular protein shakes. Chocolate protein powder, Chocolate PB2 powder and almond milk. They were delicious. For dinner I had a large grilled chicken salad. I also drank over 2 liters of water. I didn't have any snacks during the day but mostly because I was busy and on the go. I have to say by the time I had dinner I was pretty hungry, but at no point did I feel like I was "starving." It helped that I was busy with grandbabies all day. I didn't even touch any of their snacks and we spent several hours at an auction (a friend has an auction house and the snack bar is pretty much free to me if I want it). The boys had nachos, M&Ms and peanut butter crackers. It was difficult, but I had told myself "one day of absolute strictness" and it worked. On Sunday I was in a 3 hour class after church and they served lunch and I cooked on the grill for dinner so I only had one shake that day (breakfast).

scale is holding strong at 194! Altho id love to see it go down i do realize im strength training n building muscle as well so at least the scale isnt going up! Felt good to get a work-out in and the dogs walked in the warm sunshine! Have a great nite ladies!
Joy when we went to the bus stop it was 49 degrees what a blessing compared to the weather over the weekend. When I took the kids out to play today it was gorgeous they were thrilled Supposed to be warm tomorrow but raining. I'm really hoping the rain will hold out until evening, not that I want to drive home in the rain, but it sure would be nice to see the children smile one more sunny day (cold weather returning on Thursday and Friday). Joy nice weigh in Keep measuring since the scale isn't budging much, the inches will definitely be going down

well I'm up .8 to 195.2 . I feel bloated this morning which is not good so hopefully drinking only a protein shake for breakfast, a salad for lunch and another protein shake for dinner I should be good in the morning ... with my ten glasses of water

I use BodyMedia because I have the arm band. There is a monthly fee for using it but if I want to upload the data from my body bugg that's what I have to use.
