My goodness Rennie you sure are organized How long will all that food last you guys? sorry bout the sodium.Mentally you know it'll fush out soon, that's why you're up today, carbs weren't that bad, watched what you ate so..everything is good.Have to find a positive in there some where
Now that's determination, washing the icing off your hands I have to do stuff like that sometimes when I'm at/around Mother...handing her bad carbs or something that I don't want to eat.i know that if I even get a slight crumb of something I will lose all control and the whole day is a wash
The only thing I know of is to just drink alot of water the next day and go light on the sodium for awhile.Seems like I watch my sodium intake, carbs and now starches more than anything cause I'm tired of fighting to get rid of the water weight.Thank you
Awesome Job KimL you're doing it
Hay NewMe Enjoy your Journey
A great job yesterday MamaP that .2 is just a flucuation
Finally back to where I was before the Holidays! WI @ 155.0 this morning! Did an Hour on the elliptical this morning! A new Toy Burned 400 calories and worked on Abs for awhile.
hello ladies hope everyone had a good weekend! holding steady at 199 which is ok specially since i was supposed to "start" on the 5th and still havent, just loving the bloat to much to let it go i guess lol ugh! rennie my carb intake may seem high but as long as its good carbs it actually helps me/you. complex carbs and the fiber they contain make your body work to digest them where simple carbs just add to the sugar load. the energy you get from complex carbs and fiber is an awesome feeling with no crashes. i have to admit i may be one of the rare people that love rice cakes (puffed brown rice), the caramel n chocolate i use for breakfasts w/pnut butter and banana its flippin awesome! the white cheddar or lightly salted make great snacks and a healthy replacement for croutons in my salads! my kids love them too. i make my own "trail mixes" its cheaper and always something different to keep in my gym bag/car. couple different dried fruits (w/no sodium added), a nut of some sort, POST wheat/bran chex (no salt/sugar added), semi-sweet choc chips or pnut butter chips! make a gallon bag for the house and for me to keep in car/bag = healthy/cheap snack on hand for all. i use whole wheat tortillas for everything that i may need/want bread for even for salads on the go (fiber n roughage). i aim for 25-35mg of fiber a day every day and thats easy when u eat healthy carbs! my body is changing so fast that people think im using "quick fixes" and im not at all and i dont deprive myself i just make better choices and eat more now actually than i ever have! i wish id have known all along how easy and how tasty it is to lose the weight! my meats are kept to lean cuts (deck of cards size), baked, grilled, broiled. MRS. DASH has soooo many no salt added seasonings to choose from that you can add to absolutely anything. POPCORN is not the enemy- its a whole grain snack, add mrs dash, parm cheese and it still remains healthy!
sorry it took so long to get back to you, weekends are crazy and that this is so long i just get so excited when im asked about my new lifestyle and you can ask me anything anytime you like, asking questions is how we learn! you ladies have an awesome day!
P.S. i'm not on a sodium restriction but i do keep it 1500mg or less a day simply because i love the feeling i have with not retaining water, especially my joints since i have arthritis in a few different places , it really makes a difference on the body when you keep it low.

I had done LA weightloss in high school and reached my goal weight. loved the program. I didn't learn how to maintain it...and gained all the weight back and more. Then I had a baby and gave 60 lbs. I lost 50 of the 60 baby pounds.
I joined LA weightloss in the fall but they closed their offices. I loved going in and meeting with the counselors.
I really need accountability. Luckily I found this website. I've been good all day counting calories. Drank all 8 glasses of water, too.
I'm irritated - had a great day yesterday but am up almost a pound today. Boo!! I've been at this long enough to understand it doesn't work the way we want it to, though, so I'm telling myself to just keep on keeping on.
Rennie, happy birthday to your youngest, and good job on the cake!
Ona. I'm jealous of how quickly you've lost your holiday weight. I need to follow your example and be less self-indulgent.
Hello to everyone else. I'm off to ride my stationary bike and do some weight lifting.
Steph7409~ How did your workout go? After looking at your ticker, I’m inspired! You’ve done amazing! I hope when I hit my first slump this time around I can take on your attitude of understanding and keep pushing!
NewMe160~ I’m a huge Biggest Loser fan and normally workout while watching the show. I always seem to have my best workouts while I’m watching!
dangerouscurvesahead~ I’m a rice cake lover too!!!
OnaMi~ Yay on getting back to your pre-holiday weight!!!
MamaP~
love2b150~ Happy bday to your little one!!! Thanks on the congrats!
Killer workout tonight and I am TIRED! Amazing how I have gone from being an insomniac prior to stating my latest weight loss journey and now I can’t wait to climb into bed around 11! Nothing else really exciting to report tonight… Keep on keeping on!
Kris just a little bump yesterday, no worries , Hope you're having a great day
Ona most of it will last about 2.5 weeks, I still have to get more milk, eggs, cereal and fruits. Yes it was definitely the sodium. I'm down today so I'm happy plus yesterday my rings just started to turn around my finger like they weren't mine. I thought wow Well confession time ... I managed to do well with everyone around me on Sunday but yesterday we got a tiny cake just so she could have cake on her birthday. Well the cake was in the refrigerated section so when I sliced it a hard piece of icing fell on the table, no one was down here so instead of me throwing it in the trash I ate it and a little more no cake just the icing. I must say it truly did satisfy that sweet taste that I desired and I was done. I felt good even though it should have never entered my mouth
Wow Ona 155, great job I'm happy for you.
Joy I love rice cakes Aldi has some really good mini rice cakes. I eat just about everything you said except for the dries fruit. I have never tried it and don't find it appealing I'm a big ol' kid So on average how many carbs do you get in?
NewMe... the accountability on 3FC is the best. I have only met a few no it all people on here that believe they have the answer to everything but 98% of the people are very supportive and will support you through whatever you are going through. Great job yesterday on your calories and your water intake I'm not really counting calories at the moment, but that is usually my focus. I'm basically trying to keep the starches away and really watch the sodium. I don't want to go over 1400 calories a day. But I learned from a dear friend here on 3FC that getting closer to 1600 calories a day will help better lose for me and it did but I'm having a tough enough time getting to the 1400 most days except for yesterday
Thanks for the Happy Birthday wish for our little girl. Aw Happy Birthday to your baby also No to the Biggest Loser, I don't watch a lot of television. I have to be reminded to catch something that I hear about that I may want to see
Steph and that is truly the right mindset and the only thing we can do, is keep on keeping on Steph don't be so hard on yourself you have done and are still doing wonderfully We do know what to do and I find it so funny that I loved the way I looked in 2010 but apparently not enough because I fell so quickly back into old habits. (smh)
Kim great job getting that workout in. Glad you're getting the rest you need also. They say it's better to get 7-8 of rest when trying to lose weight. At least that's what I always read. Thanks for the Happy Birthday wish
Ok now me ... today started out well I am 1.4lbs down due to less sodium yesterday so I am happy. I'll be back later. I hope you all have a wonderful day, SMILES

Need to make sure I drink a lot of water today to get rid of the extra carbs from yesterday.
My new BodyMedia arm band came today. I wore one when I first started losing weight and it was so helpful and motivating. I ordered a new one because the technology has changed and it can be synced to my phone (and they are soooo much cheaper now). I also got myself a badly needed freezer on Sunday so I can plan and prepare meals and such ahead of time. And . . . . I ordered a new blender (Blendtec) so that my green smoothies will actually be smooth. lol.
Kris I'm loving your sound. It's full of happy
Enjoy all of you new items and keep smiling.
Where's the "like" button . . . Thanks. I am starting to get that desire to succeed back.
My youngest grandson (2 1/2) stole my green smoothie this morning (he loves veggies, salads, pretty much anything) and refused to give it back until I promised to put some in a cup for him. He says to his brother (just turned 4) "it tastes like ice cream. You want some?" The older one (who hates veggies) said "No, it looks like salad."
I told him I was getting a new blender that would make it much better and it would really be nice and creamy like ice cream. He said if I can make it purple he "might" try it.
Hi ladies. Back to work for the first time this year - feeling positive and happy. Abs are sore after some serious ab work. Feeling happy, looking forward to booking our holiday and are all in a good place. DD is turning 17 in February and will be heading off to uni in 18months. DS has his own issues with weight and am trying to work that one through with him . It's a tough one because he is only 15 but it 6ft 3 and needs careful handling. Life is pod. I feel good. I have more or less maintained for 18months. I'm still wobbly, and am aware of the fact that I would need surgery to change this but at 45 am not prepared to do so.
Am doing ok food wise - am developing new recipes ro appeal to DS and DD. Have just ordered miracle rice and will let you know what this is like. I'm a big fan of miracle noodles and have some great recipes to use with these. Yummy !!
