Mini goals seems to be working for me......so far been real good.. no soda and no salty snacks..
finding it hard not to step on scales every day though.... but Friday is only one day away so i think I can hold off...

Going for a walk helps me focus and not feel so blah as well...not sure if it is the fresh air or just getting away from everything but it does help.

Laura78 - I've got the "blahs" as well. I stupidly stepped on the scales tonight because I wanted to see if I could gauge how much I stood to lose tomorrow morning. Silly silly reason I know! The scales show that I've stayed the same even though I've been working my tail off. If the scale reads the same in the morning I'll be thoroughly demotivated.

Morning ladies....I was pleasantly surprised with a 2lb loss this week. I'm in shock!

Jamie - Awesome loss!

LW - Sorry you didn't show a loss. Have you thought of increasing your calories instead of decreasing? I averaged about 1500-1600 cals this week and had more success than the week before when I averaged 1400-1500.

Laura78 - I have sat down & studied by CC book. It seems I was coming in around 1000-1100 calories most days. A few days were less than that again so I'm thinking my body started to store? Its the only thing I can think of because as I said, as far as exercising goes, I have been working my tail off. There's no way I can be plateauing already.

LW - I'm sure that's exacly what's happening. Just try one week of say 1400 to see what happens? I'm sticking to 1600 this week since it seemed to work. Very, very bizarre....

What are everyone's plans for the weekend?

This week I started working only Mondays-Thursdays which means I have Fridays (and thus today!) off. I am planning on cleaning and exercising, and meal planning for next week. Tonight we have a Bingo Bowling party with the kids school that I'm looking forward to.

On the weekend I was thinking of bringing the kids to the new Whales movie with Drew Barrymore - but must skip the popcorn - sigh....

I try to eat right at or under 1500 calories but I have found that going a little above that once or twice a week seems to work better for some reason. I think you have to mix it up so your body doesn't adapt.

2.4 pound weight loss for me this week.

LW12: I echo what everyone else is saying - increase your calories. I know when I lost weight previously, I was doing WW and sticking strictly to my points and a rigorous work out schedule - and wasn't losing any weight... I started increasing my intake by 4 points (~200 calories) and dropped 5 lbs almost instantly. It's worth giving it a try this next week.

Oh and... in other news... as some of you may remember, my husband is in Korea for the next 10 months...

Anyways, we were talking this morning and due to the liklihood of him deploying after 6 months of coming home - he thought it might be a good idea for us to "make" our first child when we meet up for a vacation in June! So... now the rush is on for me to lose as much weight as possible before getting pregnant... of course, there is no way I'll be at goal by then... but I'm determined to still stay dedicated to weight loss even if/when pregnant... it will just come off slower I guess... and then after I give birth... I'll get rid of whatevers left.

Very scared!!!

Don't be scared! Just eat healthily through your pregnancy & you might be very surprised to see where you're at when the bambino is born!
