stlrsgrl43 - I've heard about the body storing calories/fat if you eat under your calories. Since he's given you 2000-2500 I would trying sticking closer to 2000. I was always told that if you're going to eat more calories, you need to burn more calories so I had to stick with the gym. Is the personal trainer cute? I always hated signing up for a PT & then seeing a cutie walking towards me introducing himself as my PT. Who wants that?
I had a much more successful weekend this time around. The last few weekends have been a struggle for me but this one felt like I got it right for the most part. The diet was ok & I done that C25K thing. Thinking about going running on Friday afternoon & just trying to see how far I can jog without walking.
Jbailey7780 - The ticker is definitely a wee bit of added motivation.
Lw12, I haven't met the trainer yet, going at 9am, we will c, he asked me if i wanted male or female, I said that I really didn't care, doesn't matter the person same result i hope.
Hello jewels, I finally got my ticker, yay. So Golden Corral went well, I had veggies, grilled chicken and a salad. I think I went over on my calories but i feel pretty good with myself or not eating bread, steak, or dessert.
Helllloooo ladies. Just finished up my dinner of salmon & broccolli with a brownie for dessert. Diet, what diet?? I love calorie counting. I know my weight loss is slooooow, but at least it's happening.
I have a busy week this week with the kids activities and such, but I'm going to try to fit in a workout tomorrow night and Friday and Saturday. I worked out yesterday, so 4 days in the week is hopefully enough.
Jamie - Great job at Golden Coral! I'm impressed that you ate out twice and did so amazing! Yes, 2000 cals does seem about right if you are doing intense exercise. Why don't you give it a try for a couple weeks and see what happens? 2500 definitely seems too high to me though. I wonder how many calories the people on the biggest loser eat? I'm thinking of joinin a gym as well, I may make it my Onederland goal "reward".
LW - Glad that things are going better for you! Is this the Onederland week???
Jessica - You know, you said you blew it, but reading your post made me think you really have things under control. "Blowing it" to me would mean just mindlessly eatingand not worrying about calorie counts. It seems you still counted your calories and kept yourself in check - what a huge accomplishment! 2500 calories is definitely not that bad, not even enough to gain any weight. And who knows, maybe your body will appreciate the extra calories and let go some extra weight this week?
Had a good day... lunch was a 6 inch 360 calorie subway sandwich... I actually could get used to the "Jared" diet lol.. makes a great alternative when you are out and about all day long.
Tells me I need 13 more posts to get my ticker so it will be next week before I get mine..... Have a great nite ladies
During the trip, I wasn't able to stick to the goals I set for myself... but we walked everyday to our class and around the Pentagon so I was still able to lose 1.4 pounds... I'm very pleased because after some of the things I ate - I was just hoping to not GAIN any weight.
Laura78 - I'm so hard on myself because I'm ready to see more results....but I think you're right. For some reason my scales have slid 3 lbs since Friday! (I'm trying not to be a habitual weigh-er but it's so hard )
LW12, you were right, my PT is a cutie, but i like him. He is going to school for physical therapy so he is taking alot of classes on the body and stuff, he sounds like he knows what he is talking about. Today was just a run through (free session), I start my real workouts on Monday. I feel really good about this and I decided I am not going to freak out about the scale so much as long as I see results on my body because like he said, I am going to e building muscle and losing fat which may take a while to even out on the scale. I bought a tape measure and am going to measure myself this week as soon as i have someone to help me. I have 3 sons and i would rather measure without clothes, LOL. Is anyone else measuring as well as weighing???
stlrsgrl43-The female PT at my gym told me she'd help me measure. When I first joined the gym (before Thanksgiving) she measured me and did the fat clamp thing on me which was mortifying. I haven't measured since then, although I think it is good to see inches as well as pounds.
Check and see how many posting you have... must be over 20 days and 25 postings before you get ticker....Mine will be a while and I am over 20 days.... but today I am buying a new scale becasue the one I have depends on which foot you step onto it with gives you different readings... looked today ( I know not suppoed to) told me one weight then step on again with other foot first and the scale read 10 lbs more ( REALLY SCARED NOW) so off I go to wallyworld..
Jbailey7780 - Happy birthday sweetie! I hope you have a fantastic day, however you spend it.
I am going to start measuring myself monthly also, around the bust, belly button and backside. That way, if the scales aren't getting me as excited as I want to be, then maybe the measurements will show me that my body shape is changing. It can't hurt to try.
Jbailey, yes there r female pt but i will just wait and have my husband help me, he will be home thur night. I didn't get my ticker till the evening of my 20th day, it must depend on what time of day you start. Look again tonight.
