LW - sorry about your bad week
Laura - yes that is me and thanks! they are scratch tickets in my hand. I got a huge stack of them for my birthday and would you believe I didn't win so much as a dollar! No wonder I don't buy them.

I have a question for the group - Does anyone have a significant other that also needs to lose weight, and if so are they doing this with you. If not, do you say anything. I have been married for 5 years and although I didn`t gain any weight during my marriage, my husband gained at least 40 pounds in that time and I am getting quite concerned for his health. He has already been making the ``when you get skinny you`re going to leave me for someone hotter`` jokes and I genuinely love him no matter what size but he can`t continue to gain weight like this! Any advice

Ugh - I did what I said I wouldn't do yesterday and weighed myself. I was happy with the weight, but then this morning I tortured myself further by weighing again and I gained a pound from yesterday. UGH!

I must stick to a once a week weigh-in so I don't drive myself insane like that!

Laura - I did the exact same thing and I am about to go do it again! I know I had a not-so-good couple of days and I wanted to see how it affected me. The problem was I did it at the end of the day after dinner which I don't like to do. I had been doing so well with sticking to once a week! Oh well. I only "count" Fridays weight so we will see...

Laura78 - I weighed myself tonight (why did I do that?! Its one of my biggest rules to only weigh on "weigh day"!) I also look like I've gained but won't know until tomorrow.
This week I have been struggling. I try to eat 1200-1500 calories daily. I looked back over my food book this week. I have been noting everything I eat but haven't been counting as I went along because of everything else that has been going on. Most days I have eaten 800-900 calories. I know its not the right way to go, I just lost track. Its been a silly silly week.
Nearly the weekend girls!

Morning ladies. I am down 1.2 pounds this week. I *guess* I will have to e happy with that. But I was 2.2 lbs down just a few days ago...sigh. Oh well, onward and upward Oh, I guess I should say onward and downward - LOL.

Can anyone have a signature yet? I thought for sure today was my 20 days but I still can't see the signature option!

I'm down 1.5 lbs. Kinda disappointed but at least it's a loss right? I didn't do too well this week though. Only "worked out" once because I had something to do after work every single day.

I also had a visit to El Chico. I did ok not the best I could have done. Just a little disappointed

I guess I figure with my size it should be coming off quicker.

I am the same as last week (258) which does not surprise me. Extra motivation to be better this week I guess.

Hi girls. I forgot to weigh in this morning. Grr! I thought about weighing in tomorrow morning but I think I will leave it until next Friday now. Congrats to you all on your losses & staying the same.

Oh, I almost forgot! I downloaded the C25K free app & decided this afternoon that I would attempt the first day of it. Remember, I have never ran before! It consisted of a 5 minute warm up walk then 6 sets of 1 minute running/1.5 minutes walking then a 5 minute cool down walk. I did it! I'll use the free app a few more times to make sure I can do it then I'll probably pay for the full app. Its a small feat but I feel pretty proud of myself right now.

Great job ladies!!

LW - I did the C2K program before and I LOVED it! I had to stop because of knee injury, but can't wait to start again when I'm lighter. That is amazing that you started it!! I downloaded these files to my ipod and it really helped: http://www.c25k.com/podcasts.htm

Tomorrow I have my first major social outing that involves food. I am going for high tea for my little sister's birthday (she's 18 - and yes, we are very far apart in age). I'm hoping to just have small portions and have set aside 700 cals for the meal. Hopefully I don't blow it!

Laura78 - How did high tea go? I hope you enjoyed it. What do those podcasts involve? Are they more motivating than the actual app?
I did the second part of the C25K free app this morning. It was basically the same as before, just a wee bit longer. 5 minute warm up walk. 8 sets of 1 minute running, 1 minute walking. 5 minute cool down walk. I wouldn't say I'm enjoying it but I'm so so glad that I'm beginning to do something that has scared me for so long.
