Gen I know what you mean. I just spent my days off sorting out and cleaning because I had just dumped stuff everywhere when I came back from Bali. I am already planning my next trip, even though I have only been home for a month .

Don't let those mind games beat you. I think you have done a fantastic job sofar, and I have no doubt that you can do anything you set your mind to. Who cares if you are losing weight more slowly than some other people? The reality is you have lost heaps of weight already, and the benefits are obvious. I am proud of you .

Julia you are SO right, it's a head battle. Isn't it funny how, when we are wavering we allow outside things to divert our attention. Mind you, if I had been through an earthquake and the aftershocks I would have put "weight loss" way down the list of priorities. I have no such excuse - just a battle in my head to get it right.

I wake up every morning determined to get it right, and manage to do well until mid afternoon. Then I seem to stuff things up. I really need to plan better, and to make better decisions.

Today I am going to give it a real crack, and aim for less than 1800 calories, 30 minutes of exercise and 1.5 litres of water.

So Vonni I suppose you're not going to scan that pic from the paper - or post us a link? .

Hey Lauren, you are more than welcome to jump in and join us. We've been going for three or four years, and tend to reflect the ups and downs of losing weight - then gaining it - then getting it off again.

Looks like you are making good progress. What plan are you following?

Yesterday I managed to stop at 1800 calories , and that was a bit of a win for me. I got home from work then spent three hours pruning a wisteria, and filling four huge garden bags with the rubbish from it. That counts as some form of exercise, surely!

Today the plan is to try and eat a little less, and to drink a bit more water. I intend to do a couple of hours work in the garden when I get home again, so hopefully that will get me onto the right track. I have been consciously trying to walk more at work too.

PerthChick - Hi! Thanks for the warm welcome! I am following a vegan diet and I calorie count. And yes, gardenign definitely counts as exercise! It can be hard work

augigi - Hello I am living in Toronto, ON. Great job on all that exercise.

Hi Lauren welcome. Whats TIFF?

Woohoo girls one more sleep till I go to the Coast for my nieces wedding. Sooooo excited.

I've done something to my hip area. Don't think it was at the gym though. but i couldnt go yesterday because of the pain. and won't be able to go to the gym while away for the week. BUT my sister has a huge arse hill that is her driveway so I will be going for walks every day while there. Even if I am hung over heehee
