[QUOTE=2b125by45;2647557]The thing I hate about DST is that Sundays seem to last forever. The time goes by slower and if there doen't happen to be a Nascar race to watch its even worse.

Does this make you a Nascar nut too?

ok, lots of chicken broth for you 2b125.....stick to the fluids and rest rest rest. For my part, had a little binge on Thursday, and didn't stay on plan yesterday either, so its time to get back on plan.
I did do lots of exercise. I had a day in Ottawa for a conference, and in the evening, nothing to do, my plane wasn't leaving til this am, and I didn't feel like staying in the hotel room. Went to a hot yoga class. 15 min of brisk walking to and from, 90 min of active yoga. Really had the heart rate up!
I'm going to explore this closer to home, I loved it.
theres a bikram yoga studio in kitchener, I plan to give it a try.

We've got sunny today and the temps may actually sneak above the freezing mark.

Hope everybody is having a great weekend.

Chadscharm, Yes this does make me a Nascar nut. This week there is no race in any program and I am bored out of my mind. Being sick I am staying in bed a race would have been nice to watch.

Hope all the Ontario chicks have been enjoying the lovely weather, it reminds me we should start a "spring" thread soon. Winter is almost gone, in time and in weather.
I got out walking and got some nice sun, will have to start wearing sunscreen soon.
Did better and avoided bingeing the rest of the weekend, but not really staying on plan. So no surprise that I regained a pound.
Back to the plan, and staying on it.
happy march break.

NAT . . . whereabouts in Barrie are you? My Mother was born in Minnesing and I have bunches of relatives in the Barrie area -- well, actually, the closest ones live at Big Bay Point. That's were I spent most of my summers when I was living in Ontario. I'm originally a Toronto girl.

Well, Northeastern Nova Scotia is nice and again -- but it's getting colder not warmer with the high today destined to be -5 or lower. At least it isn't too windy so far.

Have a good day, everybody . . . ;wave:

I would have loved to have been outside in the sunshine this past weekend but I spent mine in bed coughing. I haven't been this kind of sick in such a long time. Not even chicken broth is working to make it go away. The coughing makes my throat hurt and that seems to set off the coughing sometimes. It a vicous circle.

I am going to the heath food store today to see what I can get for the coughing. I know if I can get that stopped the throat will have time to heal and not hurt.

I can say one thing about being sick, it does help with the diet.

Hi there . . .

Everybody seems to be hibernating right now . . . what's up, gang????

Northeastern NovaScotia is still sunny but fairly cold, although today we may sneak up above freezing. Tomorrow is supposed to be quite a bit milder (around 10) but, of course, it will be raining.

Shhhh - I suspect Spring is sneaking in a bit early this year. The robins are back - not singing yet but they may be waiting for the lady robins to arrive. I've no idea why the males get here first - maybe because they refuse to stop for directions and follow their instincts. I have snowdrops and crocus all aflutter along my side walk.

Meowee, you have just a bit over four weeks to get spring organized down there or do you want me to bring some when I come to visit?

You'd better pack some just in case. Of course a lot can happen in 4 weeks. The best I've seen so far are bald eagles.

Did you make a wish on seeing your first robin? I did. Although I should have wished for health. I saw Dr. again yesterday she is sending me for Xrays to determine if I have a bronchitis infection or pnemunia. I am under 240 with this coughing diet its the only bonus.

I will check back in a few days.

Ok...Spring has sprung somewhere? We keep getting snow here in the East Kootenays! I am so ready for winter to be over!!

I haven't seen a robin yet but I am pretty sure I have heard them. I am keeping my eyes open for them.

Today it's bright and sunny but then so was yesterday and we got snow in the evening.

I hope all you Easterner's enjoying your lovely...please pass some of it over.

Once again it is a toss-up when SPRING springs this year . . . the official word is bright and early on the 22nd which is FRIDAY . . . BUT . . . since most of us are a little tired of Winter, ------

I'll start a new thread TOMORROW . . .

-- don't you just love it when you make the right move without even realizing it -- the official start of SPRING is at 7:44 EDT (6:44 for me) TOMORROW, the 20th -- thanks for the info RUTH

Must try to remember: SPRING starts March 20 (sometimes the 21st) and AUTUMN starts September 22 (sometimes 23rd). these "senior moments" seem to be getting more numerous.
