Hey ladies!!
Well had WI number 1 yesterday and I am down 2lbs!! Not bad I guess. I had been sick most of the week and didn't count well after about Wednesday but still did ok!!
For Valentine's Day we are going out to dinner to a nice restaurant. I am going to hopefully have my FP's so if I go over by a bit then it won't be so bad. I will order salad with my dinner instead of potatoe and try to stay away from the dessert. They are soooo good where we are going.
I have set a mini goal for myself. I want to lose 20lbs by the end of April. My step daughter is getting married the 1st of May and I want to look better than her mother....lol. Can you tell there is no love there????
I worked my buns off today getting things done here. I guess days off really aren't days off are they!!
Well I had better make some dinner soon!!
Have a good one ladies!

Default I am meeting with...

the Dietian for the first time this morning.

We started the day with a 2 hour fog delay after 2 hrs. they cancelled all school buses for my area. Fog didn't lift. I have to borrow my sisters van to go see the dietian b/c DH took the keys to my van with him to work instead of sticking them under the mat like he does with his car. His car has stopped working so he is using my van which I absolutely hate b/c I am left with no vehicle on days like today.

How annoying about the keys. My DH used to do that a lot - move my car, put my keys in his pocket and then take off in the truck for the day. Grrr!

It's actually going to hit 10C today which will melt a few more layers of snow. I hope it freezes up before the dog yard gets to muddy paw level. I can actually see bare pavement on the road in front of the house but there's too much ice for safe walking. Maybe later today?

I know we won't get real Spring until mid-April but this is sure a good break from winter and there'll be much less snow to melt when the real deal gets here.

It's relatively mild around here today . . . but, definitely not spring-like . . . as a matter of fact the schools are closed again and the local authorities are warning people to stay off the roads because the temperature- cannot decide on which side of freezing to land.

Snow is still melting this morning but we are to get deep freeze and bad winds later today. In case the power goes out, I'm going to fill the tub and jugs. I can do without heat and light but NOT without water!

I need spring so am going to finish planning a flower bed at the Church and order the stuff.

DH was fighting off floods all last night. House is dry so he did a great job. Neither of us slept well last night, tho, even tho I was exhausted from washing walls and cleaning my parents house. Mostly stayed on plan. So early to bed. It is below freezing again, so flood worry is gone for now. HOpe everyone is warm and dry, and able to stay on plan.

We are having a long weekend in Ontario. One day the premier just up and announced a holiday to beat the February blahs. Its called family day and we are supposed to do things to have fun with our kids. NO PROBLEM, I can do that!
Hope to take her skiing or something.
Have a good day all....

Happy Family Day for the Ontarians. I am planning several "keep in touch" phone calls and will spend the rest of the day in quality time with my two four-legged pooches.

we played with the dog alot, the weather is fabulous, sunny and not too cold. The daughter didn't much want to be with us, but she is watching the last episode of mash with us, the history channel is having a mash marathon today.
So much for family day, she had a rough weekend. Boyfriend broke up with her by text on Valentines day.

You lucky, lucky Chickies. The Premier of Nova Scotia announced that "Everyday is Family Day in Nova Scotia" when he decided we didn't need a holiday in February

Meowee: there is an MP in your province trying to get a family day passed. I saw it on the news. Apparently 5 provinces have a holiday in February. So sooner or later it will likely happen. Remember when one of the beer companies (Labatts or Molson) was having a big campaign to have a long weekend in June, the only summer month without one, (except in Quebec I think where they have St. Jean Baptiste holiday) they didn't get it though, but maybe someday.
Compared to the US we are about equal for hols, but compared to Europe, not nearly enough! (I like Europe better)

Sorry I've been missing but I've had a very busy couple of days. A very big funeral; a couple of lunches out; a dinner and overnight stay with friends; another snowstorm (of course); and a blinding headache to add to the fun.

To heck with the weather. It's cold and snowing here but the forsythia I cut and forced is in flower. Lent starts next Wednesday so it has to be Spring soon, right?
