Saw the dietian yesterday. Lost 1 lb. We talked about different things.
1. I told her about the meet & greet of my new Nurse Practioner b/c my other one left the practice. I told the Dietian about how when the NP was looking at my chart and saw that my altimate goal is to be 125 by my 45 b-day in 2010 the NP said "not going to happen". and how those negative words started to play in my head on a constant loop over the past weekend. I the Dietian how excited I was about losing 5 lbs and was feeling good then those words started looping and how it took awhile to get them out of the loop. But that every once in a while they start again.
2. We also talked about how I need outside motivation and goals. I explained how I have never been a set goals and achieve them kind of girl. I rather have goals set for me and meet them. Its like a going to work and getting paid concept. If that makes sense to anyone.
3. We talked about her going on vacation and that she would like to see 4 lbs gone by our first meeting when she is back and to get back to 3 days a week of exercise.
4. I also mentioned that last week her appointment before mine there was a girl to see her that I am assuming is there for the same reason I am and that I would be interested in being support for her so I gave the dietian my email address and to pass it on to that girl. Also that it would be really cool if she would start a support group thing for her patience so we could get together share ideas and talk about the pressures/emotions trying to lose weight at home etc.
Hey girls, I removed another pound from my existence!
Also, did a bit of wii fit aerobics before leaving for work yesterday (10 minutes) and that is a goal, to make sure I do what I can, even when work gets busy, because thats a constant in my life and I have to make exercise and eating right an everyday thing......
have a lovely weekend. It is warmer here, and we should have some sun as well as rain!
BE SURE TO PUT YOUR CLOCKS >>> AHEAD >>> TONIGHT!!!
I'm another Ontarian, but we have a Manitoba gal in our Physical Challenges thread; indeed the major population is from the eastern side of the country. I was born in Southern Ontario, but live in Northern Ontario now. We love the clean air up here, but it is a tad colder than the south. We had mild temps this week with lots of snow, but the northern winds are blasting us again, as we speak ... drats.
Jeepers . . . maybe I should move to Saskatchewan . . . Oh well, I won't go into my usual harangue about DST . . . I've still got weather woes I can talk about. Yep, it's been snowing pretty much all day.
Hard to get my brain in gear for the time change. The dogs aren't even agitating for dinner. Lots of snow disappeared the last few days and I do have a snowdrops - see my avatar.
However, we have colder weather, snow and rain predicted with temps in the sap running range. The lads at the diner will be happy! They tapped the trees starting Friday.
the time change has left me with a big fat headache that doesn't want to go away. Early to be with a tylenol for me. hope the weekend was good. Mine was quiet.....
The thing I hate about DST is that Sundays seem to last forever. The time goes by slower and if there doen't happen to be a Nascar race to watch its even worse.
I am really glad I record shows that I am unable to watch through the week. It will make the weekend time go by.
My son last week got the flu. DH got it Friday and I am beating it off with everything and herbal remedy I can think of. I cannot get sick until the March break starts Friday. My boss is super short handed and has no spare drivers if I get sick. I do think I will have Friday afternoon off so I need to stay somewhat healthy until Friday morning at 10 am than I can get the flu I will have a week plus to get better.
Canadian Solidarity! VOTE! Help this Ontarian guy get a job on the Australian barrier reef! Watch the video AT LEAST, it's fantastic! He's in third place, up against a Chinese girl and a Russian girl.
Its sunny and cold here and I am sick. I caught what my son and hubby had. I tried everything to avoid it but it still got me. I am done work for the march break and I will be spending the first few days in bed.
