Default yowww buuurrrrr

its -27 here this morning, without the windchill!
Nontheless, the dog needs a walk so we
are heading out to a trail to walk about for a bit. Will dress warmly tho.
For once I am jealous of the warm temps in Alberta !
At least the sun is out!
Am planning a good exercise day, both a walk and some time with the wii, and then pilates tonight.
have a good day.

Cie: my brother-in-law also reminded me that his IBS was "cured" when he stopped eating nuts. good luck finding your trigger

welcome to the newbies, always fun to more people checking in.

Also, I posted on the weightloss support forum about choosing my diet...
I would really like a canadian perspective there, especially about pricing or experience at meetings etc. which I think might be different here in Canada than elsewhere, so please go there and post your ideas for me.

have a great day and stay warm

Brrrrr - it's -27 here too! However, it's a brilliantly sunny day and the cardinal is whistling his spring song. Damn fool!

Here's the link to Fatmad's thread re diet decisions. Looks like calorie counting is a good program - cheap too and no driving in snowstorms.

Hi gang . . .

Not sure what day it is. Thought it was Saturday first thing this morning -- one day sort of flows intio the next when you get old and are retired.

I do know that it's pretty cold out there whatever day it is. The sun is shining and the layer of ice on top of the heaps of snow is glistening. Really, really beautiful.

Have a good FRIDAY everybody.

Default Ladies, I am in the market for a treadmill....

any suggestions on make or model or place to buy or a place that has rent to own. Does anyone have one they want to sell. Its a lot of money to dish out and I don't want to get something and find out it not exactly what I want but keep it b/c I finally have one.

My sister has one I like but it comes with a lot of "bells and whistles" I really don't need. I want a treadmill with at least a 2.0 hp with motorized incline. I am not a runner so it wouldn't need to go past 10 mph.

I have looked on kijiji and the ones there are realy expensive.

yes 2b125by45, i have blog troubles, and don't know how to fix them. But actually haven't posted for so long it hardly matters.
I'm not great with the computer literacy stuff, but I haven't cared enough to learn to fix it. Maybe if DD will help I will get there.
Change of weather today, and I everything will be melting for the next while, and I am NOT thrilled about that. I'd prefer not to have the arctic air, but the sudden switch is going to send me reeling. I woke up with a massive headache this am. Maybe from my mini-binge yesterday, or from the air pressure changes, whatever, but blah.
Have a good weekend friends, and drive safe!

ok gang, we are awfully quiet so far this week. Here's a topic, what are you your sweetie going to do for Valentines Day? And how are you going to NOT go totally off plan. Is your sweetie supportive and won't buy you inappropriate candy etc? What about a romantic dinner out? How will you order so you stay within a reasonable guideline?
We haven't made firm plans yet.

Good Morning . . .

No significant other in my life (and that's just fine with me, ) so Valentines Day is not a problem -- well not any more of a problem then any other day.

Gorgeous sunny and cold day around northern NS. At least the wind has dropped down to tolerable.

Have a great one everybody . . .

Its just dull and rainy, warmer, but so humid it doesn't really feel warm.
WIll stay in and do wiifit today instead of going out where its icy.
Haven't decided about Valentines day yet, if weather gets more wintry next week again we may go away for a day or so during the week for a romantic getaway

I was considering joining eharmony.ca to see if I could get a date for V-Day but decided to give it a miss. Actually I am going to a church supper (roast pork) with two charming men - both gay! IMHO V-Day is just another excuse for Hallmark and the florist industry to make a killing.

We missed the freezing rain here and are heading into a couple of days of rain and mildish temps. It won't melt all the snow but will be a good start. I'll try to remember these days when we get our next blizzard.
