Happy Holiday's

It sure is quiet around here.

I have to work on Christmas Eve but it shouldn't be that bad unless we have a bad storm. They're predicting thunderstorms. Ugh.

Message from Mel or rather Jen on behalf of Mel.

Dear Joy,
I am saving this e-mail for Mom. She is still sleeping. This cold has really been very bad. Her upper chest and head are so congested she could hardly breathe. She still has fevers on and off. Some are over 102. I called our MD doctor for advice and he said for her age and present muscle condition that she is doing fine. If it worsens to take her to the nearest ER but he thinks there will be no need. But Richie and I canceled Florida. We both feel Mom is wrong and she is just too sick to leave alone still. We will visit local family instead.
Joy we wanted to wish you and everyone the happiest New Years and a very Merry Christmas! I tried to get on to 3fc but couldn't get the page to load. Dial-up is very busy this time of year. Could you do me a favor and post this? Thanks.
love, Jen

Lucky we came down to the Uni today - otherwise you would not have gotten this.
DS1's partner is having a hissy fit so I am not at the moment having a great time. Life is grand eh? Anyway, we will get over it. It gives DS1 and I some time for some good bonding again. We might just get back to where we used to be. And that will indeed be a great present for Christmas.

Gotta go. Man it is hot down here. Hot and dry and doesn't cool down much at night time. I dream of Michelles cool.

Sleep well it's not long till the ho ho man arrives. Maybe he will bring Mel some good health germs.

Happy Christmas Eve Day....

We get early release today, so I will be able to make it to my brother's house for Christmas.

Tony was way too kind to me and spent way too much money on me. He bought me the Journey Diamond Necklace from Kay Jewelers. Every Kiss begins with Kay's. Journey diamond is 7 diamonds in a row, small to biggest, indicating your journey in your relationship and the growth of love. I was overwhelmed. Also got a 25.00 starbucks card, Yankee candles, some "fun" toys for he and I to share..hehehe and a few other trinkets. He did real good, he did!

Carla...congrats on the 3 lbs down especially this time of year. Yucky way to get there tho.

Shad...polish mistakes...as in Happy and DH. hahahahahaha

Michelle...yes I had quite the day with my man. He is so sweet.

Ms. Holly...Happiest of Holidays to you to girl, I miss ya.

Ceejay...we have to work on Christmas eve also, but get early release.

MISS MEL...FEEL BETTER MY DEAR...NOT A GOOD TIME OF YEAR TO BE SICK, WELL RATHER IS IS NEVER A GOOD TIME TO BE SICK.

The sneezes turned into a full blown cold. Been taking Dayquil and Nyquil. Don't know if I am coming or going. Made coffee this morning in the break room and forgot to put the pot on the burner. Coffee was EVERYWHERE. Back to the drawing board.

Have the merriest Christmas and wonderful New Year.

Merry Christmas Eve to all you wonderful worldlies!

I'm still down for the count, resting (and coughing) today trying to get over this bronchitis. DH is digging us out of the latest batch of snow. And DMIL is going to prepare tonight's dinner as well as the salads we're supposed to take to tomorrow's dinner. She's such an I just hope I'm not ruining her Christmas by being laid up in bed sick.

Shad - Thanks for posting Jen's email on Mel's behalf. I hope DS1's partner's fit ends soon so that you can enjoy the holiday! Enjoy your bonding time.

Jen/Mel - Please tell Mel that we're sending her lots of and : and healing hugs to speed her recovery along. We miss you and love you, Mel. Feel better soon and Merry Christmas!

Ceejay - Too bad you have to work today, but I hope it is a quiet day for you. Are you spending Christmas Day with family?

Happy - Glad you made it to your sister's house. Thanks for checking in. You and DH be careful out on the roads. They've been telling people up here to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary.

Hollyhock - Great to hear from you. Sending magical, joyous, Christmas wishes your way as well.

Annie - Glad to hear you'll be able to get to your brother's house for Christmas! Wow! Tony got you a journey diamond necklace?! I've seen those on the commercials. They are amazing! You have a great guy there, Annie. But I know you know that. I hope you get over your cold very soon. It sucks being sick this time of year, as Mel and I can attest.

Well, I'm going to sign off for the day and go back to bed.

Wishing you all lots of love, joy, peace, HEALTH, and safe travels.

Lots of love and Merry Christmas hugs,

So good to hear from you. Wishing you the best Christmas ever.

Shad
Sorry you are having to live through some turmoil but hopefully it will bring your son closer to you. Thanks for posting the email from Jen. Mel is lucky to have her.

Mel
Feel better soon.

Annie
You are one lucky woman to have found Tony. Sounds like this relationship is going forward.

Michelle
Merry Christmas. I could not imagine that much snow much less drive in it. Feel better soon. It's nice to have mil as sweet as yours.

I am at work but I have to stay until getting off time. sigh. The weather got a little on the rough side this morning. As my papaw Rowe used to say it came a gulley washer. The whole town was flooded. The sanitation crew was out for three hours unstopping storm drains. I have been busy anwering the phone most of the morning.

Wishing each of you a :Merry Christmas: and Don't over eat tomorrow.

Good afternoon, Worldlies, and a big wave to Shad and apologies for missing her call.

I am safely at my DD's in Nanaimo, BC, which is having a very major snowstorm. Flights in and out of here and the mainland have been cancelled and many folks are sleeping in airports rather than being with their families for Christmas. It's very sad. I felt particularly sorry for the fasmilies with wee kids as I spent several hours in Vancouver airport wondering if my flight to the Island would be cancelled. At least I had friends in Vancouver where I could grab a bed!

The turkey is ready to go into the over as we will have our Christmas dinner today. Tomorrow will be Santa and gift day and then we will go to a fancy brunch at my hotel. I plan to stay here at my DD's overnight as they are expecting a dump of 30cm of snow (14"?) and the roads will be impassable until tomorrow morning.

I wish you all a warm and loving Christmas with your family and friends.

Happy Day after the Wonderful Festivities of Christmas.....

My cold is much, much better. It is amazing how taking care of oneself makes a difference. I guess I officially work at Humana....I totally crapped my pants walking in this morning. Must be the cold medicine and all the CRAP I have eaten in the past few days that my body is not used too. Thank God, in small ways, I started my period yesterday, on Christmas, with cramps and all, and had on a ginormous mattress pad. All is good. lol. Being the new kid on the block at work, I sit (****) here all by myself as everyone took a vacation day today. Guess I will get lots done with no interruptions today. Kind of nice.

My brother and DSIL brought back a beautiful chenelle (sp) PINK scarf and pink pearls from France for me. They are absolutely gorgeous. I am going to get an off-white turtle neck or cowl so I can wear the necklace.

Got all my Christmas decor taken down yesterday and packed away for next year. Baby boy, baby girl and her BF stayed all night Christmas eve and we got up and celebrated together. That did my heart good. I asked for a new straw broom and house slippers from my kids, and by golly that is EXACTLY what I got. LOL. The broom was "parked" out on the front porch with a red ribbon tied to it. Santa delivered it. LOL. It even has a rubber grip halfway down the handle. I got on it, it fit perfectly and I breezed through the house, with my witchy laugh. The kids hate it. Samantha said, "Mom, NO!" It made me laugh even more. I had made breakfast casserole the night before to pop into the oven Christmas morning and it was piping hot and ready to eat when we finished opening gifts. DD left to go to BFs family and DS left to go back to his dad's. I left and went to my brother's house. What a joyous day.

I tell you, I am overwhelmingly blessed with great friends, family and co-workers. I am in a good place in life right now (not including finanaces, but hope to get there soon, it is an on-going project), and feel very happy. Thank you Jesus for such a wonderful life.

Hope everyone is feeling better today (MEL and Michelle) and anyone else on the downside.

Safe travels, Great Health, Lots of Love, Prosperous Year, and so much Happiness to all.

Much love and many Hugs

Wow that is hard to believe that I was the last one to post as of yesterday at 9:53 am, bizzarro~~

It is almost 70 degrees here in Indy. Tomorrow is 40. I am out with nothing but a sweater on today. I am loving it. Went to see Valkurie this morning with SIL then to Red Lobster for lunch, what a great day!

Going this afternoon to see Bedtime Stories with my friend Kristin and her little girl, Lauren who is 7. This will be fun. It is the new Disney movie. I am looking forward to it. Then come home and rest for the night. Tony is coming over tomorrow afternoon. What a busy weekend.

Hella Bella ran the fence with the neighbor dog and came in all muddy. In the sink she went and I sprayed her down. What a mess she was. Now she is once again asleep on my afghan in MY lazyboy chair. Little turd.

Gotta get going to the movies....

Howdie to everyone.

Love and Hugs.

Hello Ladies,

Having a nice relaxing weekend, we'll somewhat. The weather here yesterday Friday was very balmy and warm. Ran errans most of the day and notice the a/c in the car didn't get cool. I ran up to car shop and of course it wasn't just the coolant, it was a leak in the hose. Repair cost ran $ 600.00. I could of waited to get it fixed, but with this Texas weather, one day it's 80 the next it's 50.

Mel - glad you feeling a little better.

Annie - that movie looks good. There are about 4 movies I would like to see.

Ceejay - you have to work on a sunday?
