Hi every one
Day two of journaling completed but went over calorie count. I'm adding fat grams, sodium and potassium to my count. I ate a chicken club sandwich las night and the soidum has me bloated this morning. Ugh
Happy
Those are very good pictures. Go to wunderground.com for some similar to that. The moon has traveled more across the sky from it's previous postion.
Mel
Sounds like you have your hands full decorating. Don't over do. Hope the high school kikds come through for you.
More later, I've spent my alloted time on the puter.
Well I passed the drug test and the background check. Got a welcome email. Humana sent my reservtions for the HYATT in Louisville. I am excited about that. Leave Sunday. All around here think I should be nervous about starting a new job. I am not. I am excited about it, but not nervous. Heck I am a Gemini, blonde, and intelligent. Well most of that is true. hahaha.
Tony is on his way over, we are having grilled chicken/vegetable/cheese Quesadillas made in the George Foreman. YUM YUM. Made chocolate/peanut butter/white chip cookies for dessert. I am not eating any of them.
Got a lot of errands done today, too much running around. Should sleep well tonight.
Puff, puff, I am here but I just can't keep up at the moment. The weekend will be easier. I think I am getting it all under control and whammo the mat slides out from under.
Tonight I am off to do a body balance class. Yahoo. It's going to be at some park somewhere so off we go and prance around the palm trees. Should be fun. My new dining and drinking partner is going with me as well. It means an early tea which will not impress the guru I work with as he likes to go late, but too bad it is only one night and won't happen often. He can find someone else to annoy at the dinner table instead of taking the mickey out of me.
Rose - I'll send out some positive :vibes: for the DS and also some for Michelle's DH - it's so hard to keep positive when the days drag on and nothing is happening out there. The ones I hate worst are the ones who don't even bother to reply to your carefully worded request to apply for the ****ing job. How rude.
Michelle - pleased to see you going back to the gym again. Sometimes it takes something or someone to come along and kick start the programs again. In this case it was Madcat. But it could equally have been another method which would have got you going.
Mel - will ya take it easy for a change. How often do I have to say this???
Happy - no we heard nothing from the big guns as yet. I wonder what they are up to? What ever it is probably not good medicine for most of the inmates here. I have absolutely no doubt we will find out and then wish we hadn't. I go home for Christmas and perhaps for good on the 18th. No doubt they will get around to telling me the story eventually. As I said, although I am enjoying this project, it won't really kill me off if I don't get to come back. I'll be sorry because I can still see so much to do and so little happening that's all.
Annie - just be your self and you will do okay in this job. Hope you get to meet the boss one day. I can just hear you saying in a whisper to the bloke next to you - what did he actually say???
Dinner sounds nice. Wonder how long it will take me to get there?????
Okay - time to get moving and see what I can achieve before I go home. A tidy up of the desk could be a good idea!!!! I might even find my wee varmint. There is a tiny little crittur here. We thought he was a mouse, but his shape is a bit different and we now think he is one of the little native animals around these parts. That brings our office collection of critturs to one Asian gecko, one medium size spider, two large daddy-long-legs spiders and the little hoppy thing. Got to love this place. At least the spiders and the geckos keep down the fly population.

Good morning everyone,
Yesterday was very windy (I almost thought my car was out of alignment, then realized it was the wind pushing it off the road). DH and I got a couple of bags of leaves raked up before supper and then the rains came in and brought the cold with them. I was out raking leaves in short sleeves (it was 63 degrees) and this morning I didn't want to get out from under the covers even though the house was 1 degree warmer at 64 degrees Sometimes I don't know why we bother raking leaves. Our neighbors uphill from us as well as the 3 neighbors next to them, have not picked up a single leaf so far. It's midcalf deep on their yards and you can't tell when the grass ends or the sidewalk or street start. So DH spends all weekend cleaning the yard up and it looks nice for 2 hours until the winds blow all the neighbors leaves over our yard. There are many people here who feel that they are not going to rake leaves until they ALL fall which means their yards look like pig stys for 6 to 8 weeks. It makes DH crazy. He's not obsessive over the yard but he does want it to look decent. The trees in the back yard are dropping some sort of seeds as the patio is filled with them and you see all these little hopping movements among the leaves. It's birds who are rustling through the leaves, feasting on the seeds. They are really cute. You walk outside and you can't really see them at first, but all you hear is rustling dry leaves
Shad - do you keep up with any of the folks you meet after the assignments end? I imagine you get to know alot of people. Or do you just sometimes run into another again as I suppose you tend to travel in the same circles? I hear that they are shifting about some of the deployments and cutting back on what functionality they are rolling out. Like many companies, we are in the depths of saving every penny we can. Hopefully it will minimize job loss, tho we are all sort of nervous. It wouldn't be so bad to be laid off except that the market has devestated our retirement savings. Whereas before, we felt if one of us lost our jobs, we would have found a way to get by with some serious belt tightening, now we need to keep working full time for several more years to try and recover. One of my co-workers said his son is having a very hard time finding work here. He is 2 years into college and is taking a break from school. There isn't even any seasonal work this year.
So good vibes out to Nae's son and Michelle's DH for good things to come their way
How was dinner Annie? Those quesadillas sound yummy - I never thought of using the Foreman grill for that. Thanks for the idea! In this week's diabetes class the nutritionist was talking about packing healthy lunches. She pronounced quesadilla - kay-suh-DILL-uh and had a real hard time with the word baguette. And I had to tell her that it's not Quin-Oh-a, it's keen-wah (quinoa) - she didn't know what that was either but she heard it was very healthy. She is very southern - doesn't know these things but can tell me 6 ways to cook up okra or black eyed peas. I'm glad I'm not paying money for this class
Ceejay - one of the good things about tracking and reading labels is that we understand just what goes into some of the foods we eat. There was a big controversy that the Applebee's chains of restaurant which feature Weight Watchers meals actually contain as much as twice the points and calories that they list on the menu. No wonder they were so tasty
Good morning Mel. Happy shopping at Trader Joe's. Get us something tasty.
Nae - I'll bet the evening skies are gorgeous out your way. Sending good thoughts for you and your son.
Good morning Michelle - have you done your stairs yet?
Ok, I need to get busy myself. Hello to those I have missed
Oh how funny Happy. We say quesadilla that way when we are joking around. We also say li BARRY for Library. Of course there are many more words we say incorrectly as we are Hossiers (Hoosiers). lol
Annie
We used to LiBarry when we were younger. Do you have the multipurpose foreman grill. That's what I want for Christmas. Have fun in Louisville.
Happy
After the AW show we stopped at Applebee's for dinner in Nixa. My nephew needed to pick up a few supplies at his house in Nixa, MO I was going to choose a WW meal but the servings looked as big as the regular meals.
Lost a couple of pounds this week. I must be doing something right. I've put on a crock pot full of stew for dinner tonight.
The rest of the day will be spent cleaning the house.

I HAVE NEVER BEEN SOOOOO HAPPY TO SEE A DAY COME TO AN END BUT WHAT A LOVELY DAY IT WAS. EVERYTHING I TOUCHED IN THE MORNING WENT WRONG AND EVERYONE WAS CALLING AND RINGING MY DOORBELL. BUT WILLY TOOK ME TO TRADER JOE'S FIRST AND AS A SURPRISE, HE LOADED ME ON THE BUS WITH MY GROCERIES AND TOOK ME TO WHOLE FOODS!! WHAT A TREAT!! OMG!!! I LOVE BOTH OF THOSE STORES!! LORD I SPENT ALL I HAD AND FILLED THE SHELVES AND BOUGHT STUFF FOR THE KIDS FOR CHRISTMAS AND I WILL MAKE A BASKET FOR RICHIE'S FAMILY AND SEND IT OVER DURING THE HOLIDAYS. TJ'S HAD TINS OF COCOA & COOKIES IN HOLIDAY CARDBOARD BOXES LIKE YEARS AGO. HOW FESTIVE AND ADORABLE EVERYTHING WAS. IT'S ALL GOING TO MAKE REALLY NICE BASKET GIFTS. WE HAD A GREAT TIME AND A LOT OF LAUGHS TODAY. I KNOW I KEEP SAYING THIS BUT WILLY IS A GOOD MAN. I AM VERY LUCKY TO HAVE HIM.
WHEN I RETURNED. JEN HELPED WITH THE GROCERIES AND PUT STUFF AWAY. THEN I HAD TO GIVE A FEW WREATH LESSONS TO THOSE THAT COULD NOT MAKE IT DUE TO DR APPTS YESTERDAY. AFTER THAT I CRASHED ABOUT 1:30 AND CAME UP HERE. NOT ONE OUNCE OF ENERGY IS LEFT. THANK GOD TOMORROW IS FRIDAY. THE BEST PART OF THE DAY WAS I BOUGHT MYSELF A PRE-MADE LUNCH OF GREENS, VEGGIES AND TUNAFISH AND SAT HERE AND ENJOYING THE SOLITUDE AND MY FAST THINKING WHEN I WAS IN WHOLE FOODS!! I KNEW I WOULDN'T EAT UNLESS IT WAS ALREADY MADE.
WELL...I AM OFF TO GET INTO THE SHOWER AND JAMMIES AND SOME CHRISTMAS TV. SO MANY SHOWS TO CHOOSE FROM AND SO LITTLE TIME!!
HAPPY THURSDAY
MEL...do come along with Shad for a visit. I love Trader Joe's and Whole Foods, we have both here, on the North side of Indy (where my new job will be located), so I will get to go more often.
Ceejay...great job on the 2 lb loss. Just a few changes in diet and exercise does pay off. Yes, my Foreman is a multi-purpose large one. I use it for chicken, chimichangas, grill cheese (a little squashed), but yummy. The only thing I don't like about it is the clean up as it is not immerseable.
Just got back from taking brother and my SIS to the airport for the France trip I was to go on with them, but cannot because of the job situation. That is ok, there will be another time, and the job is more important now.
Ate my salad too fast, now have air in my little tummy trying to get out. Wish it would hurry as it is extending my belly and feels bad. Auntie Flo dropped in yesterday with a vengence. Craps, floods, and headaches. I keep telling her not to come back, but does she listen?
Morning all,
I've got so much on my plate right now that no matter which way I turn, something else pops up. I'm achieving nothing.
Happy - I keep up with quite a few of the people I meet on assignments. Some of them get me more work, some of them just become friends. Yes I know a lot of people out there. And I meet up with them all from time to time. It does not pay to make enemies in my game. And I have been doing this for near enough 15 years and I find there are only about 5 people in all that time that I don't wish to work with again.
Bummer about the neighbours leaves. Some folk just don't give a damn. By the time all the leaves have fallen, most of them will be in your yard. Something to be said for evergreen trees I guess. Must be interesting to see the leaves moving as the birds dig around for the seeds.
That darn project of yours must be one of the longest running ever. Should have been well over and done with by now. You only had 3 companies to deal with if I remember rightly. Project manager needs shooting.
Ceejay - well done on the 2lbs down.
Mel - lucky you being able to shop. Not much to buy here and if I do buy I have to cart it home. So Christmas may well be late for my overseas buddies this year. Round about March may be okay. I'll have to go to the PO soon and post some stuff home since I have bought too many books and I have my deck chair that I use for sitting chatting to the guys with a drink or two in the evenings and the cooler bag I bought to get me to Tom Price and back. So ....... more stuff. Wish they would let me know if I am coming back or not because some of it could stay here over the period I am home. No shopping for this chick - at least I am saving money.
Annie - I am off to pick up Mel and we will be there. Remember the old song - think of us and we will be there. That's us. We are on our way.
I went to Body Balance class last night. There was quite a number of people there and it was a long class, but I came out of it okay. I don't think it was as strenuous as some of the classes I have been to, but it was good for a first time back. When we came out of the hall, the park was full of kangaroos feeding. There must have been 20 or 30 of them.
Went home from class, collected a couple of blokes and drunk a bottle of wine. Not all by myself mind you.
It was a beautiful night out there, small breeze, stars a shining including Venus and Jupiter and the moon which have shifted further apart but they are still the brightest around at that time of night.
Can't think of much else. Better go do some work and see if I can get today together. All I am getting so far is someone elses problems
Hello ladies,
Just a quick hello, work has been pretty busy this week. Traveling two days this week.
Michellez - I had sent you a PM to give me a call, but then when i read the rest of post, many of the girls gave you good tips. I too was breaking out in hives, my allergy doc, said that when somone breaks out they fall into two categories. 1) food 2)unknow. In the unknown he said it was about 70%of people. in that category, it's chronic and acute. One is more than one breakout in less than 6 weeks, other is breakouts occur after a six week period. He gave me Zyrtec to take.. i'm taking that so far no breakout. I can still see that my skin is not as clear as it should be, but no hives. Call me if you still want to talk..

I FORGOT TO SAY...WHEN I WENT SHOPPING IT WAS JUST FOR FOOD IN BOTH STORES. NO CREDIT CARD USE FOR CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR. I BOUGHT FOOD ITEMS FOR THE KIDS TO PUT IN A BASKET WE HAVE SO THEY CAN TAKE A HOUSE GIFT TO HIS FATHER'S. AS FOR THE 3 OF US WE ARE KEEPING TO THE ONE GIFT EACH PROMISE AND GIVING EACH OTHER THE GIFT OF OUR "TIME" TO SPEND TOGETHER. IT WORKED OUT WELL LAST YEAR AND WE ARE MUCH CLOSER NOW. I ALSO WANTED TO TELL YOU THAT I AM USING E-CARDS AGAIN THIS YEAR.
THE KIDS AND I WERE TOGETHER LAST NIGHT AND SAYING HOW MUCH BETTER WE ALL FEEL ABOUT NOT PILING UP THE DEBT ON THE CREDIT CARDS. RICHIE IS ALMOST DEBT FREE. JEN AS WE ALL KNOW WENT BELLY UP. AND I STILL HAVE THIS LAST CARD TO PAY. ALL IS WELL AND WE'RE MAKING OUR GOALS IN THIS LITTLE CORNER OF THE WORLD
THE ONLY THING I CAN SEND OUT TO MY WORLDLY FRIENDS IS MY LOVE AND KEEPING YOU IN MY HEART

Christmas to me is what you and your family is doing. I've already given my sister in MO her money to buy Christmas dinner. I need to mail my sister in Tx her's. I'm also giving my aunt and uncle money this year. I'm planning on buying the meat for Christmas dinner. I don't want or need anything.
Hello to Patty, Happy, Carla, Ruth, Nae and any one else I have missed.
