Good morning everyone. Hope you're staying warm. This is our first year without wood heat and I sure miss the warmth of it but not the mess and the loading of the stove. Just had breakfast a bowl of fiber one with 1/2 of a green tipped banana on it. As soon as Steve gets up this afternoon I have to start the laundry cause I have a ton of it. Other than just cleaning up around here theres not a whole lot to do. Think I'm still tired from yesterday. We're supposed to get DSL today sure hope so. It would be wonderful since we've just had dial up.

Tech- Oh I'm praying for Derek to get that job. Wish they'd call sooner.

Michele- Hope you got some much needed rest...

sparkle- Eat well.....

Gym- Your eating looks great. Keep up the good work.

Thin-You're doing great...

Monet- Howdy ho....

Off to cuddle in the blanket and have more coffee...

Toni - I'm totally jealous of you cuddling in your blankie!

Gymrat: That is totally cool about your boss noticing you look "good" but didn't know why. And it's interesting too that because your face is THINNER you now look better according to her and her remark was innocent - do you know what I mean?

Wow - I feel so much better than I did on Monday - so much!!!!!

Last night I went to the gym and worked up a sweat - tonight I go running and gym again - I also ate like I should be famous skinless chicken boob, green grapes and some rapini.......lunch will be the same with carrots.

Hi Tech - I don't even know what it would be like on food stamps - that system is not here in Canada - only food banks - is it the same thing kinda?? Yes for pete's sake GIVE A JOB TO YOUR HUSBAND!!!!!!!!

Thin: What if you just baked the apple to mush and sprinkled a sort of broken down concoction of non-processed oats with cinnamon - I can't remember if cinnamon whips your blood sugar levels around. Let us know what you do - it sounds yum.

Good afternoon,

Busy morning with meetings. Made it to the gym last night Should get there tonight also. I walked off and forgot my protein shake I was going to have for breakfast on my way to the meeting. Ate some pepperoni bites (made with turkey) instead of stopping at McDonalds that was right next door. Opted for a banana when I got here in lieu of cheese and crackers. Hope lunch gets here quickly.
(tuna sandwich, with veggies and dip and apple). Dinner is spagetti and a salad.

Ray, you CAN fly if you beleive in yourself. Go for it, we are here for you.

Toni, saying a prayer for your appt. When do you get the results? WTG on the 3.5 lbs. Woo-Hoo!

Monet, what a morning you had yesterday. Don't you just hate insurance!

Sparkle, I got a good laugh about the broccoli. Yes, got my morning meds, but I am out of the afternoon one, Hope it arrives soon. Hope you figure out what to eat.

Gymrat, Congrats on the treat free day. What a nice complimnet. I'm sure more will be forthcoming. You should be tired after a day like that one.

Thin, isn't it great whenm people notice!

Determined, walking first thing in the morning seems to work best for me. Get it over and it jump starts your day.

Tech, what great news. I will be praying for you. They will be getting a great guy.

Bob, where are you?????

Missy, how are you doing? Is Mardi Gras keeping you busy?

Got to get started here, it is almost lunch time. Yeah! Have a great OP day!

Good afternoon!!

How's everyone. Well all is well withme so far. I just ordered the biggest loser workout dvd's and I'm excited. I just love the show. I got hooked on it this summer while I was recovering from surgery it was on in reruns on Bravo and I have been watching it ever since.. I got cleared from my doctor about a month ago to workout but is has been so hard.( I was going to the gym) My stamina is really not there and I get so sore afterwards. I'm going to stay with it until I feel normal again . The dvds will be great to do at home and this way I can do something every day.

Tech - I wish you and your husband the best.
Solly - I agree with you I plan to do my dvd's first thing in the morning. I hope you make it to the gym.

Have a great day everyone!!

For some reason I just want to snack today. I made me a nice big turkey sand. on a whole wheat bun today with lettuce, tomato and horshradish mustard on it. A 1/2 banana and some pistachio nuts. I'm having some green tea now.

Ray- Your chicken breast sounds good. How did you cook it? I love it grilled and barbecued.

Michele- How many puppies do you have?

Solly- Got my results yesterday and I'm the same as always. But my doctor is always pleased I'm where I'm at and not going down hill.

Mercee- Oh wow can't wait to hear how the dvd is? Good luck with them.

Well off I go.

Wink Drive By...

Hey everyone... I've been working like crazy and Dave is in Atlanta on business so I've been busy at home too.... haven't had time to check in. I've had a few little cheats, but I haven't let it knock me off the wagon!!!

I had a little motivation in the way of an atta-girl from the owner of the Curves gym I attend... she put me on the Curves website... if anyone wants to see it ... it's http://www.curveslocal.com/1393/testimonials.aspx

I hope everyone is doing well... anybody who needs prayers and good thoughts, you got 'em! I'll get back in for a catch up on my post reading and a better reply by the weekend!!!

Hugs and good thoughts to everyone!!!

Hey Beth - you're cute as a button!!!! and 30 pounds down - wow - it totally changed your appearance. I am looking forward to that transformation too....thanks for the motivation.

Toni - what is your Doctor bugging you about? My chicken boobs are oven baked - I'm in an apartment. I once tried to BBQ because I am nuts for BBQ but it was too smokey and I thought someone was going to call the fire department.

BETH: The pix are great! Thanks for sharing the link! You are doing fabulously!

RAY: Yay! TWO races! Hip hip hooray! You are such an inspiration!

I went to a market research food tasting thingie at 1. They paid me and sent me home because they were overbooked. Then they called me and asked me if I could come back at 3:30 and be paid again...so I said sure! Woo hoo! I got paid $100 today and guess what I am going to do with it? Buy clay! And groceries... Tom got two calls from recruiters today...encouraging but we need interviews! I hope both Derek and Tom are employed soon.

Later! I gotta go figure out what is for dinner. Lunch was bites of four sandwiches- and only one was on any kind of 'whole grain' bread.

Ray & Beth Wow...I am humbled by both of you and your commitments to exercise & progress.

Toni This crappy weather cold & wet makes me want to snack constantly too. My snack of choice last night pork skins with louisiana hot sauce...lol.

Tonight my husband is making up a batch of comforting turkey chili and I cant wait to get there.

...still waiting for my exercise motivation to kick in and it just aint happening for me.

I am totally NOT liking biggest loser couples. I was really rooting for the mother/daughter pink team and I absolutely hate the black team, I so want them out of there, but it wont happen becauce they add the hate factor to the show, everybody hates em!

Ray...where do you live in Canada? I live next to Canada across the river from Kingston. We go there on our anniversary and stay at the holiday inn and go to the casino in Gananoque because 'what happens in Canada stays in Canada' Food stamps are an assistance program that comes in the form of a card that you swipe like a debit card and it's for people that are either on welfare or unemployment or otherwise unable to bring in an income. First of the month, they reload the card with your allotment. It is specifically for food, though...no alcohol or cigs, not even paper towels or diapers. Just food. The items you purchase are automatically separated at the register and you pay for the non-food items with your own money. Derek was VERY upset the first day he used his card and I can't blame him. He's been a hard working man for 25+ years and has always fended for himself. We are praying very hard that he gets this job with Rite Aid. Heck, I just want more produce in the house!!! But we're a strong couple and in the end, its making us even stronger going through this together. Not even so much as a misunderstanding between us and that makes me very happy. He have happy, healthy kids and a good marriage and as far as finances go....hey, its just money and bills. We'll get through it and I have a strong faith in God that he'll provide what we need if we're patient and trusting in Him and let His plan unfold for us. He hasn't let me down yet...although there were times in my life I thought He had forgotten me, but then I always seemed to come across that Footprints poem as if God Himself had put it there as a reminder. All prayers are welcome and appreciated...
