Good morning everyone. Just got up and made me some coffee. Its freezeing cold outside but we didn't get any snow. You all can keep that. LOL. Today is grocery shopping day I hope. Its a big project because the biggest grocery store is over an hour away. Steve comes with me and we shop for two weeks at a time. It seems to take forever. By the time we get it all carried in and put away we're beat. LOL. I've got to be thinking of what to cook for next week.

Bob- There you are. I was wondering if work was kicking your butt. How do you like what you're doing now? Bet you're glad its Friday. The recipes look killer and I may have to make that first one next week.

Monet- I'm swooning over the dishes you made. They're just beautiful. Bet someone was a happy woman. The urn is great. It seems as if it would be the right size, it looks big. I love those frog salt and pepper shakers.

Thin- Good luck on the 2 lbs. a week. Keep that white stuff there.

Gym- A great big congrads. on that 2 lb. loss. How great....You're doing really good. Now keep that up.

Solly- I hope you get to feeling better today and soon. You lucky duck getting your hair fixed. I'm getting a permanet next week and I'll be so glad.

chrgrl- Sugar Busters rule!!!!! Yippee for the 2.5 lbs.

Michele- Oh my gosh what a huge loss!!! You go girl....

Carrie Ann- What encouragement, I love when those happen and am looking forward to lots of those moments

A great big congrads to all you great losers this week. Be back later and have a happy day. Going to save Bob's recipe...

WOo hoO! I remembered to weigh this morning and I am down 4 pounds since Christmas! So all my 'holiday' weight is gone! Very encouraging.

I have not had breakfast yet. And I have not started cleaning the huge bookcase yet. Need to get that done!

Oh, and thank you for the nice comments on my work. I found out this morning the urn is big enough! My sister in law opened the box and found the ashes were in a plastic bag much smaller than the box! (you were right, Michele!) I sent her a picture of the urn, and she loved it, so I will pack it up and ship it!

Be back later!

Yeah BABY!!! I'm down 4 pounds!!! Things must be restructuring within my body because yesterday I noticed when I crossed my legs they stayed!!! That is always the first sign that things are A-CHANGIN'.

I wish I had measured my head because my face looks thinner.

I SHOULD SAY THAT I HAVE COME OFF SUGAR AUGUST 2, 2007 BUT HAVE HAD ABOUT 10 BOUTS OF SUGAR - I STILL THINK I AM DOING VERY WELL CONSIDERING THAT I WAS ALMOST BEHAVING LIKE A FLY BEFORE - EATING SUGAR CONSTANTLY.........

My moods are much much better. And I am diligently working on and succeeding at eating breakfast within a hour of waking up. Yesterday was awful - I think my blood sugar was banging around because I didn't eat enough at lunch...too sparse and it really made me cranky.

Carrie Anne - great results - especially about your boobs being on the loose.

Monet: Wow woman - you are a pro!! I love your pics - did you win the competition!!!!

Chrgrl - rock on !!! 2.5 pounds - that's a Cornish Hen!!!

Gym Ray - I ran last night and went to my club and it was moderately busy - I just hope people start to fall off their fitness new year resolution soon. My club is teeny tiny but it has the best music in the city!!!! I was dancing away with one of the young trainers and we have such a laugh. I am so glad to rediscover fitness!!!!!!!

*NO SUGAR NO SUGAR NO SUGAR - THERE IS NONE TO BE FOUND
*WENT RUNNING
*WENT WEIGHT LIFTING
*ATE QUESIDILLA AND TONS OF FRUIT FOR BREAKKIE
*FRUIT FOR LUNCH
*VEGETARIAN FOR DINNER

WISH ME LUCK ON THE WEEKEND.

Solly..This is what they are made with..I looked it up.

Our New Generation Muffins are Sugar-Free, High Protein, and High Fiber! Made with Soy Flour and Almond Meal Flour!

But either way this is the pms week so I feel like at least sugar free is better than sugar.

Congrats everyone

Hi everyone. I've been "out of touch" for the last week. Mother fell and broke her hip last Friday, and I spent the entire time in the hospital with her from Friday till Wednesday when we moved her to the rehab unit. Thankfully, the hospital and the rehab unit are all on the same campus as my office, so periodically I was able to run to the office and at least pick up mail, etc. Unfortunately, all meals were in the hospital cafeteria or snack shop for 5 days, so you can guess what happen to way of eating. But I'm back on track now.

BOB the lasagna had to be put on hold, but I hope to make it this weekend. Hope your new job is better. I sure know how awful a stressful job can be - and also know how wonderful it is to get away from the stress.

Morning everyone--

It's going to be a long weekend for me. I have the next 5 days off for the most part. I woke a few hours here and there..But nothing major. I guess this is good. I will have to find stuff to occupy my time with.

laurie-Be strong and On Tuesday i'm sure you will have a great report.

Snaps..Im sorry to hear about your mom. How is she doing? Good job getting back on track. Sometimes stuff happens.

I wored really late last night (yay extra money) but i was too tired to get up and go to the gym. So tomorrow is a must. If anything it gives me something to do with all my free time other then clean. HEHE

Happy Weekend!!

Hi everyone...just a quick fly by to say hello.

The Sabres 'thrashed' the Atlanta Thrashers last night 1-10. We were on a ten-game losing streak, so did THAT feel great!! I started to feel sorry for Atlanta, but they just beat us a week ago or so, so the bad feeling didn't last long.

Okay...off to make chili.

Good evening everyone. Had a busy couple of days so have been a little scarce. We got our grocery shopping done and came home tired. Had our rotissare chicken and found out we'd forgot to get Steve's medicine at the pharmacy in Wal Mart. So today we had to go back but we tried our new GPS out and enjoyed watching it guide us. I came home and made hummus for the first time. I tried an Easy recipe I found and enjoyed it. I'll have to give you all the recipe.

Monet- Way to go on the 4 lbs. I know its awfully hard for you to lose weight with your medical problems so an extra WOO HOO.

Ray- I'm in aww of you losing 4 lbs. too. Keep up the good work.

Gym- Darn I want those muffins. I've got a recipe for some apple oat ones I've got to try.

Snaps- I'm so sorry about your Mom. I hope she heals quickly. How awful for her. You sound like a good daughter.

Bob- How were those movies? And how did you like your first week on the job.

tech- Hope your chili turns out.

Well we're supposed to have spinach and mushroom pizza.

I had steamed my cabbage in beef broth so it was a bit heartier. My spaghetti sauce also has extra lean ground beef in it and I make it myself. I made it a little thicker than usual because the cabbage holds so much water.

I have used zucchini strips before too.

Tonight I made beef and barley stew with lots of chunky veggies.
Very satisfying.

I came to a stall with my weight loss...I was ravenously hungry all day Friday and had several things with salt. I know to watch for that since I prefer to weigh every day. If I weigh every day I'm less likely to cheat.

I also had some Russel Stover SF candies, but they are very high in fat so I will try to stach them away for when I am having a super duper craving. Have any of you noticed that keeping even the SF sweets around keeps that old sweet tooth alive and well and craving sugar?
Goodnight.
Carrie

Morning..... Just having my coffee. We snacked around last night because I had made that hummus and we ate it late. I think I'm actually going to make it though the week end. Which has been my hardest. Remembered I bought a little marinated pork roast I'm going to put on the rotissare for dinner. Not sure what I'm going to make with it. But of course some veggies.

Chrgrl and Carrie Ann- I'll have to try spraggetti that way some time. I love cabbage. Carrie Ann your stew sounds good. If I eat those candies two does me in and I head straight for the bathroom. They're always so good. But I have to stay away from them.

Well I'm off to finish my coffee..... Have a good day.

Morning! I have been sleeping pretty well lately. Unfortunately, my blood sugar has been astronomically high.

I threw yesterday, but had all kinds of problems. I only kept a few pieces. I will do finishing on them today. I fired some bisque pieces yesterday, so I will unload the kiln today, and maybe glaze and reload. I am worried because a few of the pieces I put in yesterday were kind of damp and I forgot that and fired it off anyway. I am hoping they did not explode!

CARRIE: I agree with you on the SF candies. I try not to eat them very much. Not only do they stimulate cravings for sweets, but they also do a number on my digestive system. I am super sensitive to sugar alcohols. Even just one or two pieces distress me. I just stick to an occasional piece of straight 70% chocolate. I don't crave sweets from it, and it doesn't bother my digestion.

CHRGRL: Your menu looks pretty good, but you might want to add more veggies. Like with your tuna, you could add celery, and maybe some raw carrots on the side.

TONI: That sounds like me..forgetting to pick up something. I am glad you got to play with the GPS though. They are pretty cool! My son uses one for work, and had it on a short day trip we took together once. It was so fun!

TECH: Since it means so much to you, I am delighted the Sabres beat the Thrashers. (besides, I am not a hockey fan! )

BOB: How much later is "return later" ? I like the new avatar!

GYM: Happy long weekend to you too!

SNAPS: Gosh, I am so sorry to hear about your mom! I hope she heals quickly. Good that you are back on track...stress sure can make it hard!

HEART: I hope you have a great weekend!

RAY: Way to go on the 4!

Off to find some breakfast!
