Good morning Sugar Busters!

Got to the gym last night for a lower body workout. I walked the dog for 30 minutes and he walks at quite a quick step, then ran to the gym. This morning I could not sleep due to my neck and back so I got up and put on my back brace and walked on the f0r 30 minutes. Will go to the gym tonight.
Br: 2 hard boiled eggs
Snack: banana
Lunch pbj on ww bread, celery with bleu cheese dip.
Dinner, Rigatoni. (ww pasta, 93% lean beef, cheese, spagheti sauce) and a salad.

I have to get an epidual in my neck today at lucnh time. I can't wait. Hoping this gets rid of all the numbness in my arms and hands. Just wish he could do my neck and back both, but he can't.
I am also meating with some type of therapis to get some back exercies and hopefully she can tell me if I am doing something at the gym that I should not be doing.

The scale was down 2 lbs today. Hope it sticks.

Sparkle, have you tried Quzno's new shortbread sammies? They have 200 calories. Not sure about the bread.

Toni, you go ahead and hug the stuffing right out of them and Please thank you son for his sacrifice for us. I am very grateful. Give hime a ghug for me too.

Ray, I thought about trying thre Alii, but I take lots of stuff now and did not want to add one more. But on the other hand, if it makes you poop, I might look into it. ha-ha. Weekends are hard for most people. I like the routine of the week, it keeps me legal.

Monet, you have to do with what you have at the time. How nice to get to see all of your borhters and sisters. I hope you work out your issues, life is too short.

Thin, hoping you see a loss next week.

Michele, sending prayers for Thomas' surgery.

Tech, how great your shop was so busy. I hopeit continues.

Mercee, Happy belated birthday It is nice to realize how blessed we really our. Glad you have a new Gn to share your day.

Gymrat, I would try to have 2-3 fruits a day. How bad can it be for you? If you see you are not losing, cut it back.

Got to get this day started. Have a great OP day.

Morning everybody,

Just reporting in with not much to report. Had a gorgeous weekend here in San Antonio finally. But I am still in couch potato mode <sigh>. Eating wasnt very good either.

Decided that we will invest in a treadmill next week after pay day. I have been hesitant because I dont want to pay megabucks and it become just another piece of exercise equipment that collects dust in my house. So ya'll tell me do you own a treadmill and use it regularly and really find it a good workout. A gym membership would not work for us, very busy schedules and hubby works nights and I work days we barely see each other.

Morning everyone. Eating has been okay. I'll weigh in tomorrow but think I messed it up over the week end so I'm not looking forward to the scale.

Rosemary- I love my treadmill. My neice gave me her really nice one for a gift. Right now its up in our computer room and I can watch tv while I walk on it or listen to books on my walkman.

Solly- You rock girl. 2 lbs. is great. Keep up the good work. I can't believe you're having trouble with your neck. You poor thing you always seem to get the painful stuff. I hope the shot helps allot.

Gym- Yep 2 or 3 fruits. Spraggetti squash and butter sounds good.

Michele- Hope everything is going okay with Thomas.

Thin- Hope when the water comes off you'll have a good loss.

chrgrl- Your menu looks yummy.

sparkle- That salsa chicken looked good. I may have to try it soon.

Well the temps are suppose to drop today with possible snow and rain. I hope not cause they're coming out to put new gutters on our place. We've waited for weeks. So hopefully this won't mess it up. But we are getting some good winds right now. Be back in a bit....

Morning all!!

Michelle- You and Thomas are in my prayers.

Solly - I hope your neck feels better after you see the DR. I really love how despite the odds you keep going you are truly an inspiration.

Gym - I usually eat 2-3 fruits a day. The sugar from fruit is natural.

Toni - A world of thanks to our son for his sacrifice.

Well ladies I got my treadmill last night and was able to workout on it. My brother-in-law came and put it together for me. My hubby, sisters and a group of friends paid for it for me it is a really nice one it was able to fit in our van so that's how I got it set up so quickly. I really have a great family and friends.
Now I can work out everyday if I want to. Yipee!! I hope everyone has a great OP day.

Rosemary - Go for it and get the treadmill.

Thanks guys..yeah I have about 3. I like my am applesauce with cottage cheese..I try to have an afternoon orange as a pick me up..and at some point I have blueberries with yogurt.

Its hard with convenience foods sometimes. I spend a lot of time out of the house driving ans so i use quick portable snacks. I don't always have raw veg's but i always have fruit. I need to go to the store and get raw stuff.

Rosi--Good luck with the treadmill...Im sure it will be great to have in your house. Props if you can work out at home..I never can. I have never actually owned a treadmill..but I have more dvd's that I have used once. I am not self motivating. It might be good to walk and watch tv instead of veg though. Good luck.

Toni-Good luck on the weigh in tomorrow. I almost know at weigh in if I gained to lost..I just get a feeling. Hope its a loss. And yup spaghetti squash was delish.

I worked out for about 40 min today..I was a few min late for class. A great work out. Different. Boot camp of sorts. We had all kinda of drill and because it's where I teach my kit fitness classes, we used the kids scooters to work hamstrings and glutes. Boy am I already sore. Im working only until 1..today is going to be great!!

Mercee--YAy another home gymer. Good for you. Not having to go out in the cold and being sweaty will be great. Run on...LOL

Solly..YAY congrats on the 2 pounds. And yay for the gym. Good luck with the spidural..It sounds painful but if it susposed to help then great.

Morning everyone! After the 2 pieces of cheese toast and the bowl of bran flakes last night I didn't eat anything else. That filled me up and I guess it sure should have, ha ha. That was all before 6pm so I was kinda hungry this morning. Ate bkfast before leaving for work and it was 1 piece of WW toast, 1 scrambled egg and 1 piece of bacon.

I forgot to take my meds!!!! Darn it and I had been doing pretty good these past few days remembering.

Solly: I haven't tried the sammies at Quizno's. I hesitate cause of the bread, but I sure could eat 2 of them with no problem.

Gotta go - will talk more later!

Hi everyone,

Solly - right on Slim!! No - I waffled a bit yesterday but I think Alli would have a very negative impact on my lifestyle. I just don't want to poop in mid conversation with someone. I hope the needle in the neck thing helps. What has happened to you that you need this for???

Thin: I bet you dropped weight again but it's covered over with your period. I used to gain 6/7 pounds. Well maybe 40 pounds each period.

Mercee: Wow - a treadmill. How does it feel. How come you got one from friends and family - was it your birthday?

GymRat: Way to go on the exercise session. Soreness means your muscles are singing. And Happy that you are using them.

Default Hi Everyone!!

Just a quickie HELLO while I'm snarfing down my lunch.... (which is chicken salad and some fruit).

Had Open House last night at my oldest son's school, all his teachers were sooooo YOUNG!!! One of them went to HS with my husband, she was the younger sister of one of his best friends... that was funny!!

Eating has been so/so. I haven't eaten anything really devastating except for THREE (count 'em THREE) Cheddar Bay Biscuits at Red Lobster the other night... I swear three was GOOD for me, I can usually down about 100 of those things. Oh well... I did get the BROILED platter, so everything else was pretty good. I did eat a small serving of fried potatoes at my MIL's house last nite... but not much of them at all. I've been trying to really stay on track!

Missed the gym last nite due to Open House, and I work tonite, so I'll have to work extra hard tomorrow!!!!

MICHELE - Sending prayers for a speedy recovery for Thomas!!! My little brother has Aspergers so I know those situations can be frightning for them. How is he doing??

GYM - I eat more fruit than I really should too... but every time that sweet tooth kicks in I try and kill it with fruit. I figure it's gotta be better for me than chocolate anyway!!

MERCEE - Good Job on the treadmill!! I've been looking for one and a girl here has one that she needs to sell cause she needs the $$. It's a really nice one and she only wants $100 for it... so I'm seriously considering it! I'm just worried it's gonna be TOO BIG for my space.

SOLLY - WTG on the 2 lbs!!! You're my inspiration!!

BOB - THERE you are!!! I knew the wagon was going pretty slow... nice to see you are still in the driver's seat!!

MONET - Still sending good thoughts and prayers your way. I hope everything is going as well as it can for you and your family. I hope you have a safe trip back home as well.

Well I gotta go get back to work.... I have probably 4 hours of filing to do today and I'm leaving in 3 hours.... UGH!!!!

Everyone have a great Tuesday and an OP week!!!

Dang Ray keep the noice down. Quit that darn screaming. I know I messed up on the week end too. Its hard to get back on and then here comes another week end. LOL I have the party for my son's homecoming this week end and its the food buffet at the Western Sizzler. Plus traveling 6 hours to get there and everyone is going to a bar after wards to visit. HOW AM I GOING TO DO THAT.......

Sparkle- You are just like me with my meds. I'm so bad to forget them and yesterday I forgot mine. I hate that. And my heart doctor would have a fit if he knew that.

Gym- I know that feeling and I got it now. LOL

Mercee- I'm so happy you got your treadmill. Sounds like your family is as wonderful as mine. LOL

Default New to Sugar Busters, but not dieting...

Hello All!
I'm Chris, will be 46 in March, live in Ct with my husband and 2 daughters. Actually, my older daughter is at college now, so I have just my 18 year old at home.
I came across the S.B. book at my Dad's house right after Christmas and decided it was the the tool I needed to stop the sugar addiction I've had my whole life. I have no control when it comes to sweets. They trigger me to overeat all the time. I can't remember the exact date I started using the S.B.diet, but it was probably about Dec. 31st. Since that time I have gone from 216 pounds to 198. The worst was the first few days when I had headaches and not much energy, not that I ever had any energy before that Yesterday was the first time I really fell off the wagon. We had to put our cat down that morning. He was 17 and failing quickly, and I just started coping with food again instead of just feeling the emotions like I know I should have. Besides eating TONS of legal food I also ate some jellybeans. I stayed away from the chocolate, but everything else was fair game! I was so stuffed that evening I thought I'd burst.
Normally that would have started a downward spiral for me ending in me giving up. This morning (still feeling full) I got right back on track and didn't look back. I think being a little older and wiser now, I see this as a bump in the road that more than likely will happen again. I kept thinking to myself, this is a lifestyle change and life isn't always perfect, so how can we be?
That being said, how the heck do I start losing again? I've been stuck at 198 for a week now. Actually, I'm very happy with my loss so far. I still can't believe it. I'm probably just losing at the right speed now. I lost a lot very quickly. I have no idea why, I've been eating exactly the same.
I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone and say hello. I've been reading the posts and they're very encouraging. Good luck with the remainder of the week and I'll be back to post the good the bad and the ugly!

Take care, Chris
