HEy all. Did get to the gym, but did not get my run in tonight. Was having tummy issues anyway, but then stress kicked everything into high gear with some issues with my apartment complex They misposted my check (I assume, since I know I paid), and sent me an eviction notice!!!

As far as the online dating, I think I have decided against. I got hung up on how to describe myself. They have a 200 word minimum, and it doesn't take that long to say "Neurotic John Candy impersonator with obsessive compulsive tendencies." I would love to have frogs to kiss, but even they hop the other way.

Anyway, sorry for the vent - still stressed over the apartment crap You all have a wonderful night!

I posted before, but it went astray - probably I clicked the wrong button. Not much happening here. And what is happening is not good. So I will take myself away and give myself a good talking to.

Well there is a possibility of success on the horizon. The recruiter rang this morning to say that they are reconsidering the whole concept of the check on short term contractors. Well hallelujah. However they are still not listening. They hear but they don't listen to the words. I may have to summon up a sentence in words of less than two syllables so they DO understand.

Happy Hump Day ladies -

DH, DMIL and I had a great time at the Brewers baseball game last night! The Brewers were leading most of the game but lost in the end. Before the game we had dinner at a bar/restaurant that offers free shuttle service to the stadium...much easier than trying to find a place to park. We had a great dinner (I was NOT counting points last night - cheeseburger, fries and a few beers). But I'm back on the straight and narrow today.

Happy - I didn't know that butterflies liked to lay eggs in curly parsley. I'll have to make sure I plant some. I wonder if it's too late for b'fly egg laying up here. I'd love to attract more to my yard. So when is the pool party! I'm so ready for warm weather and swimming. Such a great story about your neighbor's lemonade stand!

Mel - So nice of you to box up care packages for Jen and Richie. You're right, there are things more precious than the almighty dollar - spending time with loved ones for instance.

Jolly - Good for you for getting to the gym. I hope you're feeling better today. An eviction notice? Are they kidding? Do you have a copy of the cancelled check you can give them/fax them? If you do change your mind about the online dating, you should let us describe you. You're way too hard on yourself.

Shad - Good luck in trying to get the recruiter to understand. Speak slowly and in very short words.

Ceejay - I hope you're not working crazy hours again. Do you have any fun plans for the weekend?

Annie - So happy to hear that you and Tony are feeling a bit better and that you had a fun ride on the Harley!

Big hugs and Love to all,

Good morning all,

Guess some of Mel's rain is lingering here too. Very overcast outside and humid. That means I'll arrive at work looking like a bag lady.

Michelle we found out about the butterflies quite by accident last year when we noticed a baby swallowtail that had just come out of the cocoon and was drying it's wings on a bush. I looked up the info on the internet. Butterflies like 2 kinds of plants - nectar ones they can feed from and plants like parsley that are food for their larvae. The season is just starting so it's not too late to get some parsley out there.

Had a talk with the president of the homeowners assn. We all agree - more work and grief than we need / deserve. May of next year, we are all done with this. They can go back to the haphazard, sloppiness way they seem to like it down here.

I have to go do a few things before I leave the house so stay dry and cool.

Hey Mel - We've had the damp overcast cloudy rainy drizzly days here too. Not ready for ARK time yet, thank goodness. Good luck with the cable guy. Don't twist his arm too hard....it might make your shoulder feel worse.

Happy - Thanks for the butterfly info. I'll stop at the nursery tonight to get some parsley and nectar plants. I was wondering if y'all were having humidity yet. From everything I've heard of homeowners assn, I'm glad we're not in one. Those who care about the neighborhood participate and follow the guidelines/rules nd those who don't care do not...not much different than if a association wasn't in place. Glad there is a light at the far end of the tunnel. Hang in there.

Brought my laptop to work with me this morning to keep up with the rain/storms today. Our internet and tv were both hit by lightening last week. We got a new 19 inch lcd tv this morning. But still no internet.

Michelle
Would you believe I've never been to a baseball game! I have a break in working those weird hours. However, the last of JuneL is taking a couple of vacation day's that I'll work. Then in July it's her turn to work for me.

Mel
Sorry that your arm and shoulder are bothering you again. It's nice to have some things frozen. I need to cook some this week end.

Annie
How did the bike ride go?

Happy
You need to post some more pictures of your yard.

Hello to Jolly, Patty, Shad and the others. I'll post more when I'm home.

I just got out of a weight management class offered through the Wellness Center at my work. It's a 10 week course focusing on healthy lifestyle changes, and today was the first session. I did my initial weigh in....not good. But I'm not discouraged as it's only a number and a starting point. I can do this. I have the desire and the determination. If losing weight will allow me to walk more and do more fun activities, then that's what I'm going to do.

After work, I have a meeting with a website client, and then I'll probably go to the gym if it's not too late.

I did not make it to the gym last night. After meeting with the website client and her new "business coach", I was frustrated and feeling like I needed to get the crap she wanted on the website done.

Holy Cow Michelle - I don't think I've EVER heard you as frustrated as that last post of yours. Run for the hills! That's the problem with dealing with people - they can be such zydzyks (a Mork from Ork word in case you don't want a blue cloud out of your mouth!) Sorry you missed the gym last night. I swear I'd be stick thin if I was rich and could focus only on me.

It's another grey day here with a threat of storms. It's jungle muggy too. My head is killing me this morning but I have to go to work as I have a meeting I cannot reschedule. My chest hurts too. In talking with a friend of mine, I think I might have a bit of asthma. I always related asthma to wheezing and coughing but there are different symptoms too. Sometimes you don't know what you don't know until someone who does know explains it to you and it all clicks in "oh yeahhhhhhhhh"

So I'm sorry - not really up to posting personals this morning, but I'm offering coffee to anyone who wants a cup Later chicks...

and what's all this "coach" psycho-babble lately - business "coach", life "coach" bah! The only coach I ever truly enjoyed was Coach from the Cheers TV show

But then again, perhaps I can be a "fat coach" - there are still a few skinnies I can pull to the dark side
